Morning everyone

Had a lie in this morning until 6.30am

36+6 (boy)

TheBlonde · 10/02/2007 07:43

Hey Fox, I am up too
Not sure why as everyone else is still asleep
Might head downstairs and make myself a cuppa

foxabout2pop · 10/02/2007 07:45

I just had a cup of coffee, a custard tart and about 12 squares of cadbury's chocolate

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 10/02/2007 08:29

Morning all, am just getting myself ready for my driving lesson and will reply properly later.

Had the oddest dream last night though, in which the midwife was telling me about optimum fetal positioning and said that the very best thing for me to do was smoke a giant spliff every evening, she said she sold top quality skunk and would I like to buy some! I did, and then that evening (in the dream still) I smoked it and lo crawled under my skin all the way into my foot!

How strange!

Anyway I'm off to have my nutella buttie and coffee, see you all afterwards!

LunarSea · 10/02/2007 08:32

Phew - it's melted a bit. Just as well as I have to go to Gatwick today to pick up dh and ds, so I have to be able to get out of our road.

Bump has been going mad this morning - usually it's quite quiet in the morning, and goes through it's exercise routine in the evening, but today it was leaping around from 5 am.

I think it's the not driving for ages thing which really makes me want to avoid a section if at all possible. Ok perhaps if you live somewhere where there are people around/shops near/accessible public transport - but we don't have any of those. I dread not being able to go anywhere/do anything/see anyone for 6 weeks.

Bloody hell fire the fecking stupid computer has wiped ANOTHER long post .

Right now I have to try and remember what i wrote to everyone.

Foxy, I reckon you must be bouncing off the walls after that breakfast

Mossy, the was one WEIRD dream you had.Are you ok?. Perhaps it was just wishful thinking eh?

Lunar, you must really be looking forward to seeing dh and ds again? What time are they due in?

Eids, dd3 was only a little under that weight too, heavy babies huh?

If I have to have a section it would be a disater for us as we have to drive evrywhere with the children. Dp would have to take the slack and it would really affect his business. Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that.

LunarSea · 10/02/2007 09:17

kitty - not until about 7 pm. But I guess I'll see plenty of ds next week as it's half term!

evenhope · 10/02/2007 10:27

I can't keep up with you lot!

I'm still at work for another 3 weeks With all the others I gave up at 29 weeks so it does seem odd to be still working. Somebody asked my colleague yesterday if I was pregnant (!) We had to laugh.

I'm not organised at all. I keep thinking we've got plenty of time. The closer it gets the more I go into denial.

I'm amazed how many of you have Bath connections. My mum lives in Bath too. We always thought we'd like to move there but it's really expensive, and the damp air there always set off DS1's bronchiolitis when he was younger.

I asked the mw this week about the ongoing stomach pains. She says BH can hurt once you've had more than one child. I got into bed the other night and my whole stomach went rock hard and I couldn't move, it hurt so much. That was scary.

34+5 girl with no name!

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 10/02/2007 10:29

Kitty it's been a long, long time since I've had anything stronger than alcohol, even before I was pg! But I wonder if being so well-behaved for so long has made me crave more than just forbidden cheese!! Still, there's always lots of drugs available in labour!

Laidback sorry again about your friend.

Dh and I need to sort wills out, I want to make sure that if anything happened to us both, lo would be looked after by mil & sil, and not my parents. Dh has life insurance through his work, but I don't have anything like that, although I think there is provision in the mortgage to pay some of it off if the worst happened.

I am thinking of going back to bed for half an hour; driving lesson was okay but my instructor had a new car so I spent the first twenty mins just getting used to it and now I'm knackered again!

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 10/02/2007 10:30

X-posts hello Evenhope, three weeks left in work, I hope it passes quickly for you!

sazzybee · 10/02/2007 10:49

Ooh Mossy - that sounds like a good dream

I dreamed that my LO had down's. I have always said that it would be okay if he did but I was really disappointed in the dream and felt very guilty

On a more positive note, he was doing some major squirming last night and I think he might have turned! Where he was just slumped across my pelvis, there is now a big bit of baby very high up which I'm hoping is a bum. [hmmm]

I have packed my bag. It's enormous!

LunarSea · 10/02/2007 10:49

evenhope - I happened to mention to one of my colleagues last week that I only had until the end of February before I wouldn't be around in the office for 6 months or so. His "Why" elicited roars of laughter all round - he reckoned he hadn't even noticed!

OP posts:
rosylonginglily · 10/02/2007 11:20

Isn't it funny how people don't notice you're pregnant!

Get well soon The blonde and Dolly.

I like the new names...we are getting ourselves in the mood for popping now

When I see some of your weeks like fox...36 weeks 6 it suddenly seems really close! I have two bags packed and full but I seem to need another bag for towels, dressing gown and slippers, snacks, mags etc. I'm hoping to only be in for a day and it'll look like I'm there for a fortnight with all my stuff

Anyone getting presents from baby for older kids? I usually do this...gets more expensive everytime

36 weeks tomorrow

foxabout2pop · 10/02/2007 11:29

Good idea Rosy - forgot about presents for older kids

Last time I also asked visitors to get DS something small when they arrived with baby presents.

Do you think its OK to take one of those small suitcases. I reckon I'll need it..

Mossy - at your dream...

Lunar/Kitty - we depend on our car too. I try not to use it but often its just essential in order to function.

My sister moved to a village near Bath - hoping it would cure her DC's asthma, but it made it worse. She's quite near the A4 and they also get mega pollen in the summer.

36+6 (Monti )

spongecake · 10/02/2007 11:43

really fed up as just wrote long post and it just disappeared... love the new names btw.and laidback, sorry to hear of your friend. I don;t live far from bath, so another connection!

have friend coming today who knew me when i was a skinny london bird with cigs and wine am now porky prgnt country bird instead now, so think she will be

am so hungry all the time again.. and am now on maternity leave, so think will be eating all day..eek! rugby non stop today, so am getting ready to lay on the sofa, eat all the food in the house and watch it.

divastropwantstodrop · 10/02/2007 12:35

fox-i have a small suitcase for the baby stuff plus a rucksack for my stuff-which is full but still doesnt contain everything i need

moss-i think a giant spliff would be better pain relief than anything they give you in hospital.

rosy-i was thinking that last night about everybody's dates getting nearer.

fox-are you not 37 +weeks now,i thought you were due at least 2 weeks before me??

better go and take the boys to the barbers.

35+3

kiwibella · 10/02/2007 12:36

Rosy... that is a lovely idea - and it made a wee tear come to my eye I'm definately going to think of something special our wee one can give our big one. I've been really touched that a couple of friends have mentioned wanting to do something special with / for MissE. There is so much to think about at the mo - I hope I don't forget about her .

Great breakfasts girls (yes, I'm reading the posts backwards). And, that dream Mossy... wow, what do you make of that?!?! Dodgy midwife huh .

Fox... only gay in the village, hahaha!! I can't imagine being squeezed into a tubigrip. Glad it helped!!

Hope you have a great visit with your friend today Sazzy... maybe it will be good vibes for her.

Get well soon Blonde / Dolly. Snivvels here - but so many bugs around mixed with a very late night.

I finished work yesterday. How brilliant is that. I am hoping that likkle one will comply and allow me a couple of weeks to rest and nest. My workmates pitched in and bought bubba's Nature Nest bed - absolutely pleased with that gift. And, I had my baby shower last night. It was fabulous, 20 girlies having a laugh, eating great food, and drinking lots of vino. I was so humbled!!

Anyways... about to join you on the sofa watching rugger spongecake. It's a perfect way to spend a Saturday .

Hi and best wishes to anyone I have missed

kiwibella · 10/02/2007 12:38

37 +5 only 16 days to go

OMG

Booboobedoo · 10/02/2007 14:29

Afternoon.

It's my first Saturday morning off, so I spent it asleep.

I hope you're ok Laidback. I can see why it would make your DP paranoid, but these things are really rare. Makes it all the harder to deal with emotionally, of course.

Diva: me and foxy are both 36+6. ARGGHHH!

When DH gets back from B&Q I'm off to Primark to buy cheap shirts to give birth in. Mum & Dad are coming over tomorrow to help DH paper the nursery. Well, Dad is: me & Mum are going to walk the dogs and eat cake.

Morocco: hope your family situation calms down.

Kiwi: forgot you were due at the end of Feb! Can't remember - were you early or late last time?

EDD 3/3
36+6
Boy

foxabout2pop · 10/02/2007 15:16

Kiwi - you lucky bugger being off work!

4 days left for me and sooo much to dooo...

Boo - fully intended to pack my bag today but Dh has stuffed the bag at the back of the cupboard so I can't possibly do it until he gets home

Out with my local MN group tonight - for a Thai meal yummy!!

CallieNewMum · 10/02/2007 15:46

Hi girls, quickly home for an hour from hosp. It's been an up and down week, more down unfortunately as Jordi lost weight at last weighing forcing me to give in to giving him bottle as well as I was so upset at the thought he was starving away, but am trying to be philosophical and work it all out. Anyway, there are pictures of him at www.flickr.com/photos/jonblake, haven't managed to put any up here.

Hope all well, haven't had time to read anything apart from Foxy choosing name - nice one.

Love to all, Callie x

TheBlonde · 10/02/2007 16:01

Hi all

Finally ventured out of the house today to Boots & Sains (so exciting!)
Tried to buy remaining items for the hosp bag etc but of course nowhere had any maternity pads.

Callie - lovely photos

divastropwantstodrop · 10/02/2007 16:10

fox-does your dh go out alot socially also?

i got a yoga ball, cant quit pump itup enough yet though, and ds2 thinks its a toy.when the lo's ahve gone to bed i think i'll put it here instead of the chair

my head is throbbing again.ive come to the conclusion that they are weekend-induced stress headaches and that i will only worry about mon-fri headaches.

i'm not used to not being at the hospital every couple of days at this stage of pregnancy.it feels like ive got longer to go than i really have.

kiwi-i cant believe you're nearly 38 weeksi had my last 3 babies at 38 weeks....

divastropwantstodrop · 10/02/2007 16:15

callie-x posts.jordi is adorable.hope he starts gaining weight again soon,i think you're doing really well bf him atall.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 10/02/2007 16:56

Callie, Jordi is so lovely. You look like such lovely proud parents .

I can't keep up with you lot!! Actually I feel like I can't really join in with you for much longer as you are all close to popping and I'm nowhere near .
I'm just feel tired and sorry for myself I guess.I worry how I'm going to get through the next 7 weeks and look after 5 kids.
