By the way, has anyone got the Baby Pics app? Just looking for reviews!

LisaTheSimpson · 20/08/2016 10:55

Awwww, she's adorable, Potato! So lovely!

BunchOfBobs · 20/08/2016 11:01

Oh potato she's gorgeous!!
Did you give yourself any piles with pushing? My lovely fanjo slicers commented on mine, but they are finally getting better. I can't believe We're all becoming mamas now!!

Leoni I've got it but haven't actually used it yet. We use snapseed more as you can overlay text on that too.

Today is the day I leave the house for the first time.i spent most of yesterday on the go and have had 2 days in a row without napping so I feel ready day last. We're off out to our local tea shop for lunch (totes having a humongous afternoon tea). I'll be babywearing for the first time and breastfeeding in public. I can't decide if I'm nervous or feeling bolshy about it. I'm not even dressing discreet, I'm going to be wearing a denim dress that buttons up so I will literally have a boob out HmmMid Wales better be ready for me. I don't know if I'm ready for me.....

mayago · 20/08/2016 11:43

Woo! Big congratulations Potato! Arya is adorable, and I love the name you've given her! Thanks so much for sharing your story! You must be delighted with the short hospital stay Smile

Good luck Shelb!

New thanks for sharing your story. Glad to hear it was a positive experience, and I hope you're settling in well at home!

Glad Atticus is packing on a bit of weight Bunch. I hope I take to breastfeeding as well as you have!

Feeling like I need to cuddle a baby today Grin

Pinklily1 · 20/08/2016 11:49

She's gorgeous Potato! I just noticed her weight too - nice and diddy! I hope you get discharged soon.

Hope the first outing goes well Bunch, and don't worry about getting the boobs out Smile If anyone says anything if just glare at them.

Canters15 · 20/08/2016 12:08

Eeeeeeeeek congrats new and potato!!!! Arya is beautiful! Its so exciting now our thread babies are arriving!

Good luck with boobage today bunch!

Co5mo · 20/08/2016 12:13

Oh how gorgeous is she Potato? Getting impatient to meet my little man now. I'm lining up my Dad to give me the injections if I need them. I have absolutely no problem sticking needles in other people but when it comes to needles being stuck in me I'm a real wimp. Dad has had plenty of practice as a diabetic so he should have no problem doing it for me. I think DH would pass out at the thought of having to do it.

IrregularCommentary · 20/08/2016 12:18

Potato she is beautiful!

I still cannot believe these farty, twingey bumps turn into these amazing little babies - need to start getting my head around this!

shelbTa · 20/08/2016 12:24

She's incredible potato!! Gorgeous sleepsuit too.

Bon voyage bunch, enjoy the tea.

All quietened down here, sorry ladies!

X

leoniethelioness · 20/08/2016 13:27

Ahhhhh, Shelb. Good trial run for the real thing - it must be just around the corner!

PotatosMum · 20/08/2016 13:29

Thanks for all the congratulations messages. I'm absolutely in love with Arya. Strange as I really didn't expect to be.

Baby grow is just from ASDS £7 for 5, bargain!

Leonie glad your DSIS and Nephew finally get to go home Smile

Bunch I haven't been told I have piles and they did examine my bum hole a few times Blush my bottom is very tender though.

Good luck on your first excursion, have fun Smile

Shelb I'm sure it will pick up again, the early stage can start and stop a few times Wink

Arya has eaten, thrown up a couple of times Hmm and is now busy hiccuping. Shocked at how much she throws up, apparently it's normal though.

No sign of the paediatric to sign us out yet. Sad

Hopefully not too much longer, Potato. Have you had any visitors yet?

PotatosMum · 20/08/2016 14:28

Should be discharged in about half hour.

Leonie we're not having hospital visitors, we're just going to have people at home.

I go away for the weekend and miss everything!!

Congratulations potato and new! Nice to nice the positive stories

Pinklily1 · 20/08/2016 16:14

Oh no Shelb, I thought you were getting going. Do you think the ones early this morning were really bad BH or do you think they were contractions that have worn off?

Potato, hope you are home by now.

Out of interest Bunch and Potato, what size baby grows did Atticus and Arya wear straight after birth? I'm surprised by the variation in shop sizes.

Leonie, hopefully your sister and Isaac will be discharged today too.

Feefs, how was your weekend away?

I've just ordered about a hundred nursing bras online, I'm determined to find ones that fit, are supportive and don't look like something a 90 year old would wear Hmm Hopefully at least one or two will fit for starters.

Canters, how is your back pain today?

PotatosMum · 20/08/2016 16:22

Bunch, New did you feel a bit weak and shaky whenever you did anything the day after your babies were born? I'm not too bad but slightly worried about the possibility of infection in my stitches Confused

PotatosMum · 20/08/2016 16:24

Pink Arya is in 0-3mth baby grows which are fairly big on her but I really don't think she cares. At 6lb7oz I think I need to get her a couple of newborn ones to use for the next couple of weeks.

PotatosMum · 20/08/2016 16:25

Oh, and we're home safe and sound Grin

shelbTa · 20/08/2016 16:35

Yey to being home potato!! Enjoy.

Pink - I think it was contractions as it was my whole bump and back tensing up. But who knows! So frustrating as it seems to kick Off first thing in the morning!! Anything happened with you?

X

leoniethelioness · 20/08/2016 16:44

Yay, Potato! DSis is home too. I'm so relieved.

Baby Isaac has been wearing 0-1 month sleepsuits (from Next, I think) and these fit him well. He was 8lbs 9oz at birth. He was wearing 0-3 today and it was quite baggy on him.

I've got a mix of first size and 0-1 in my hospital bag but may be getting from ready to eBay the tiny ones after next week's growth scan... I picked up the first size ones on eBay so I don't mind reselling them if they're too small!

Pinklily1 · 20/08/2016 16:44

Nothing Shelb. We've been out for a walk around this afternoon and I'm shattered. I've had some braxton hicks but that's it.

Glad you are home safe Potato, and hope the dizziness/ weakness passes.

BunchOfBobs · 20/08/2016 17:19

Pink Atticus is still in newborn or up to 1 month, 0-3 is just too long on him.

Potato I was wheelchaired out of the shower, shaky doesn't cover it. That's the anemia with me. I didn't need the injections as didn't quite lose enough blood Hmm as you're on them maybe you lost a lot and are anaemic. Have they put you on iron tablets?
So glad to hear your home safe and sound. Re infection I was told 9 out to 10 episiotomies result in infection (even if minor) and tears rarely do. So you should be fine.

So much for stitches being okay. I had pus on my pad today so midwife is on her way and thinks I'm probably headed back to hospital. Sadhormones are hell, as soon as anything else goes wrong with my stitches I'm as low as can be and crying. Today's adventure went so well as well.

Here's some photos, I look like death warmed up, which is kind of how I feel. Cost does not go with my dress but hey ho.

Awww, Bunch, those photos are adorable! I love you in the car park when you're wearing him in the coat! So lovely!

Love you using him as a crumb catcher while he sleeps! He's such a cutie x

LaraG13 · 20/08/2016 17:33

Congratulations Potato and new!!! You did it! I hope you both feel proud. Thank you so much for the birth stories and info. I'm really really appreciating the candid detail. It's been very reassuring. potato, Arya is absolutely gorgeous.

Well done on getting out bunch! You look fantastic and Atticus is so adorable. Sounds like the infection has been really rough. Bloody well done on keeping cheerful. Hormonal mood swings also sound delightful - I'm sure it's totally normal and will settle down.

shelb and pink hope things get going soon for you both. Three early thread babies so far - let's hope for a couple more soon.

Hope others are all ok and coping with various aches, pains, insomnia and discomfort.

Amazed by female bodies and mums right now.
