Just home from a weekend away at a wedding. Told people I wasn't feeling great so wasn't drinking and think I semi-fooled them. Except best friend who asked if it was for a happy exciting reason and I was vague and she squeed. I am going to be her bridesmaid in Oct 2017 so will have to think about practicalities of that now...

Think I accidentally ate some pâté on a canapé but only a tiny bit. Was so sad at the evening buffet - it was a huge table full of cheese and crackers! I had cheddar and Stilton but looked longingly and everyone else eating the soft rind cheeses.

marmitecheesetoast · 14/08/2016 15:23

So sorry wibble fx it's not the news you think. Take care of yourself Flowers

Yes I have been enjoying my runny yolks! Grin goes a (very small) way to making up for the cheese situation! Feel your pain naran

On way home from the weekend now, exhausted!

Doc appt in the morning to register the pregnancy officially... Think things will start feeling more real then!

naranciata · 14/08/2016 15:23

Oops just caught up.

Congratulations to the new joiners! Cake

And lots of love for those leaving us. Flowers

BusyNothings · 14/08/2016 15:33

Eeek exciting marmite have to come and fill us in. Mine feels like forever away!

jpeg28 · 14/08/2016 15:49

jenny congrats! Same due date as me!

theknit I use yoga studio which is an app but it's amazing, I don't think it has pregnancy specific yoga though.

I'm glad runny yolks are in! Cheese is ok right as long as it's pasteurised??

MrsRhubarb · 14/08/2016 15:50

Ooh exciting Marmite! I assumed that this time I would just be able to self-refer to the community midwife team for my booking in appointment without having to waste a GPs time, but the surgery said I still had to see a GP first. Seems a little pointless as it isn't like they confirm the pregnancy, and I feel bad taking that appointment from someone who is actually unwell.

MrsTGG · 14/08/2016 15:59

That's so strange - I just had to register directly with the midwife! First appointment is this week!
We had an early scan today and all is looking good so far!!! Grin

TopKittyKat · 14/08/2016 16:13

I've got my appt with GP tomorrow as well marmite

I've been suffering from an on-off sharp pain near my left hip which is worrying me a bit. I think it's getting worse.

I'm clinging on to the fact that I've had no spotting or bleeding so am hoping it's just normal pregnancy twinges.

I've been a bit bunged up (Blush - sorry tmi) and I know that can affect the left side, so I'm hoping all is fine.

BusyNothings · 14/08/2016 16:18

Ooh mrstgg I'm trying to convince my dh to get an early scan but he's not game! Bet it was lovely to see it for real!

topkitty I'm keeping fingers crossed for you. Try not to worry like you said could be a side effect of constipation.

I think think my appetite is back but I'm not sure. Felt awful this morning and had to force food down. Now I have a weird empty rumbling feeling in my stomach and not sure if it's hunger or what lol. So bloody confused! Also kind of worried that if I'm hungry does this mean that nausea is on its way? Confused

Jaffacakes1234 · 14/08/2016 16:22

JPEG, runny eggs are OK as long as British lion marked eggs. I avoided them first 2 pregnancies but third time my midwife told me that and I checked Google and then ate runny British lion marked eggs all the time X

Jaffacakes1234 · 14/08/2016 16:24

They seem to make the rules up for each surgery /area. Twice I've been able to self refer twice I've had to see a go Hmm

Jones1980 · 14/08/2016 16:41

Mrstgg I bet that was lovely to see your baby for first time I would definitely have a early scan but my partner said I've got to wait for the NHS because it will be to tiny to see but I'm gonna have to keep working on him ha ha I so want to see mine just to check everything is OK

TopKittyKat · 14/08/2016 16:43

Thanks Busy

Mmmm - all this talk of runny eggs is making me want to have one.

MrsTGG · 14/08/2016 16:54

Jones - he's right - it is too tiny to see, but we both feel such a lift of pressure and worry as we now know baby is fine with a strong heartbeat!
The picture doesn't even resemble a baby, but I suppose we didn't do it for the picture :)

Jones1980 · 14/08/2016 17:09

Arh bless do you mind me asking how many weeks are you so many ladies on here I forget how far everybody is

Jones1980 · 14/08/2016 17:11

Esker · 14/08/2016 17:12

Jones1980 · 14/08/2016 17:17

Topkittykat I have had a few twinges in my right hip but I don't think it's anything to be worried about because mind me saying this I've been really windy I think its to do with when you need the toilet I've had loose bowels with alot of wind God I've had every system going but don't worry yourself if you can sure everything OK

Celen · 14/08/2016 17:56

Anyone had any food aversions?

I fancied a roast chicken dinner ALL day and after I cooked it, it just tasted bleurgh Envy Also used to love vegetable crisps but they taste gross to me now Hmm

TopKittyKat · 14/08/2016 17:56

Thanks Jones

BusyNothings · 14/08/2016 18:16

MrsTGG · 14/08/2016 18:18
