I've already cracked open my old maternity bras Prive, they feel great! Grin

BusyNothings · 12/08/2016 16:48

I'm with you on painful boobs prive they've been killing me for about two weeks and only got my bfp a few days ago. Makes me wonder how bad they are going to be!

Prive120 · 12/08/2016 17:12

I ended up buying 2 bras from the maternity range and changed as soon as I got home. Bliss!
Be gone underwire, be gone! Wink

Midrog · 12/08/2016 17:35

What are you all doing about telling people? I've told my best friends (only because we're all midwives and they totally understand what a risky stage this is) and DH told his best friend because he's having a baby in a couple of months and it's like some kind of male bonding thing. I feel guilty that other people know before my family now :(

BusyNothings · 12/08/2016 17:39

Nah don't worry midrog you tell those who are right for you! I've told my parents brothers and sis in law, step sis and best mate and my dh has told his mum he has no other family so it's just the immediate ones for us!

finova · 12/08/2016 17:44

A midwife, that's great! I'll prob have lots of questions for you midrog!!!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 12/08/2016 17:49

missmoomoo - I'm so sorry, it is such a precious yet fragile thing that so can easily be snatched away from us - take care of yourself x

Prive going up a bra size was one of the first changes that happened to me last time (particularly increase round my ribs) but stabilised, I didn't increase after first trimester.

midrog I've not told anyone (except you lot!) - DH has blabbed to one of his best friends, he the same last time, I think he needs the reassurance from someone who has been there before.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 12/08/2016 17:50

Ooh midrog an exper in our midst! Grin

Midrog · 12/08/2016 18:01

Haha I don't know about expert! I know nothing about this stage! I should come in useful when we're further along though lol! Is anyone else just feeling generally crap? I keep having hot flushes and going dizzy :(

marmitecheesetoast · 12/08/2016 18:03

Ooh yes nice to have an expert in our midst midrog! And I think it is just about telling who is right for you, you have reasons for the people you've told, so don't feel bad about it!

I've still not got sore boobs, it's making me worry! They are pretty small though so maybe that's why?! 😂

I have been having lots of cm though, not creamy so much as just very damp, wondering if that's normal?

I've also booked an early scan for 8 weeks (well just a few days before). So excited/nervous about that!

Happy weekend everyone! Smile

bellyrubgirl · 12/08/2016 18:05

Haven't been keeping up to date on posts, had stressful week of it. Bled on and off on Sun and abdo pain. trip to ED, scan showed sac but no fetal pole, and a lovely big sub chorionic haematoma. What seemed like forever wait until today where they rescanned, haematoma is still present but no so is a tiny fetal pole with heart rate! Relieved to say the least. Still apprehensive though as Dr says could increase risk of m/c. Anyone any experience of sch?

jpeg28 · 12/08/2016 18:08

Really really sorry missmoomoo, sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days so just seen your posts... Thinking of you Flowers I had a MC in March... Just get tons of rest, if you don't want to go out or anything don't, I took a week off work and I sort of wish I took more time off. Look after yourself.

I'm really worried I have no symptoms... I'm especially worried about the lack of sore boobs!

Jones1980 · 12/08/2016 18:12

Micrograms I'm the same keep getting hot flush and being dizzy and nausea but my friend told me that is all good signs means the pregnancy is doing well she as 2 children so I think 🤔 she knows what she talking about lol I'm sure I will have some questions when I hit second trimester

Midrog · 12/08/2016 18:13

Jpeg I don't have sore boob's either....they just look bigger lol. bellyrub if the heartbeat is there then focus on that for now :) must of been lovely to see it flickering away. I've booked an early scan too for 8 weeks. 18 days to go lol!

Jones1980 · 12/08/2016 18:14

Midrog sorry miss type your name damn phone

jpeg28 · 12/08/2016 18:15

So good to know midrog I keep pressing them in the hope they hurt! When I was pg earlier this year before the MC they were agony but I can't remember how far along that was. I'm so frightened I'll lose this one... I keep expecting to see blood when I go to the bathroom.

finova · 12/08/2016 18:24

Just thought I'd mention that Becks Blue alcohol free beer tastes nice if anyone wants a Friday drink!

bellyrubgirl · 12/08/2016 18:38

Midrog it was such a relief and not expected after the week at had. We head off on holidays tomorrow,
No morning sickness yet, let's hope it doesn't decide to raise its head until we get back home! Loo Finova nice to have some light relief too

BusyNothings · 12/08/2016 18:45

midrog and jones I'm the same! My boobs are killing me, im knackered and sore and dizzy and just generally feel like I'm struggling! marmite I'm getting that kind of discharge too! I keep panicking and running to the lol thinking I'm bleeding.

belly it must have been lovely to see the heartbeat. Sorry to hear things are tough for you. A friend of mine recently had a very serious bleed and was in and out of hospital for weeks but she is now at month 6 and all is healthy and going well now. Don't want to give false hope but try to stay as calm as you can, stress is unavoidable but is no good =[

Cineraria · 12/08/2016 19:29

I had that in my last pregnancy, bellyrub. DS was fine, thank goodness. I hope it will be the same for your baby.

With DS, I had brown spotting from 5 weeks and was scanned, which was when they saw it. Then, when I was 6+0, I had a big bright red bleed followed by a dark clot the size of a sausage. I assumed the worst and the NHS helpline said I would probably miscarry over several days and should then ask my GP for a scan to see if everything was gone but the bleeding stopped overnight so I went next day to the GP who sent me for a scan the following day, which showed that all was well.

I'm hoping this pregnancy will be less eventful! The GP I saw this time took my history and said she had also experienced exactly the same thing, except her clot was round and had opened her cervix a lot.

We both had to have our placenta removed surgically after the birth too. Not sure if it's connected to the SCH. It was disappointing at the time but having my stitches done beautifully by a surgeon under a spinal block and minimal post partum bleeding were plus points.

Bakersdelight · 12/08/2016 21:43

Hello ladies
Poking my head in and desperately hoping I'll get to stay. Tested positive last night and this morning. Gives an approx due date of 15 April. I'll be 42 at the end of the year and have a wonderful 3yr3 mo DS after back to back - ectopic, MMC & MC, so pretty nervous as to how this one is going to pan out. Haven't told anyone as I'm too scared to tempt fate! Feeling exhausted!

MrsRhubarb · 12/08/2016 21:56

Dandelionrarrrr I was a lurker and occasional poster on the October 2013 board, under a previous name, your DS must be the same age as my DD! I think it is going to be a nice age gap (fingers crossed anyway)

Other than immediate family I've just told a few close friends. They knew we were TTC and had shared their own happy news in the past so it was lovely to be able to shout it at them once I knew! I'm not especially trying to keep it quiet, as I know from previous experience that if things go wrong I will need their support massively. Obviously I don't want anyone at work to know until I've notified my manager.

drinkyourmilk · 13/08/2016 06:57

Welcome to all the new bpf-ers!

belly the bleeding is terrifying isn't it? Keeping my fingers crossed.
marmite yep I'm wearing liners during the day as I feel ikky otherwise.

drinkyourmilk · 13/08/2016 06:59

Forgot to ask how everyone is sleeping? I sleep like the dead some nights, then sometimes like last night I barely get 4 hours. I'm exhausted and I haven't even got out of bed yet! Zzzzzzz

Jones1980 · 13/08/2016 07:21

I'm the same drinkyourmilk I woke up at 3 and I'm already a wake downstairs I have good nights and nights where I wake up in the middle of the night don't know why but even now I'm knackered
