Its my first pregnancy Top so I have nothing to compare to.
It was around 4pm,been an hour now and my liner has nothing on it so im really hoping its just a tiny spot and nothing else.
Really thinking that if this turns out to be nothing I have to get an early scan for piece of mind!

TopKittyKat · 11/08/2016 17:01

Congrats Freckles. That must have been reassuring to see the heartbeat.

Yes - I am definitely struggling to concentrate posting on here every five minutes isn't helping my work productivity either

TopKittyKat · 11/08/2016 17:03

That sound positive Moo. An early scan might be an idea.
I think I'll end up getting one too.

marmitecheesetoast · 11/08/2016 17:05

moomoo I have read in so many places light spotting in early pregnancy is nothing to worry about and can be quite common. Please try not to worry (easier said than done I know) Flowers

I'm on the train now, it smells like someone is eating a full on curry. And now my stomach is rumbling like mad and that's all I can think about eating. My ham sandwich and salt and vinegar crisps for tea are really not gonna cut it now (even if it is a posh Pret Jambon Beurre one)

lotsoffreckles · 11/08/2016 17:20

It really was Top although my consultant was really quite for ages which completely freaked me.

I get another look at 10 weeks then I leave my consultant who has held my hand through the last 3.5 years of my life, not sure how I'm going to cope out on my own, fingers crossed for a lovely MW Smile

Agree with Marmite I have also read in so many places that it can be very normal for spotting throughout pregnancy but also would recommend an early scan, it was so reassuring to see for myself on the screen yesterday x

finova · 11/08/2016 17:31

Oh! I want an early scan too. Think I'm going to hold out till 11weeks though and get a scan and harmony test....might change my mind yet...

finova · 11/08/2016 17:33

I had spotting for 1 day at about 5-6 weeks with Dc1 all was fine.

MissMooMoo · 11/08/2016 18:00

So glad to hear a few others have had it.
Just asked my sister who is 14 weeks and she said she had some too before she found out she was pregnant (she was already 7-8 weeks when she discovered)
Keep obessingly popping to the loo but there has been nothing else so i feel much better.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 11/08/2016 18:07

Yes I think light spotting is very common, particularly 'old' blood. I have also had friends who have had more significant fresh bleeding and all was still fine (although in those cases they did have scans to ensure all was well).

If it remains just a little brown spotting I would not worry Smile

Jones1980 · 11/08/2016 18:53

Arh miss moomoo I've got my fingers crossed for you I'm so worried today I went to town to get a traveling sickness band and picked up a2 pregnancy test because did a digital one last week and it as gone off so thought I'd go and get a cheap one because I got midwife next Thursday I did it, it came up a faint line I'm so worried at moment been crying my eyes up hope I don't loose it, it's our first

drinkyourmilk · 11/08/2016 19:10

missmoomoo I had an epic bleed overnight Sunday, and so much pain! Scanned Tuesday and everything is fine so far as they can tell. I sure it'll be OK.

Jones did you test with FMU? That makes all the difference, and some tests categorically state that the test lines isn't as dark as control. All that matters us you got a positive test.

Jones1980 · 11/08/2016 19:16

Thank you drinkyourmilk I work as a warehouse operative so I'm on my feet lifting all day and can't afford to leave work trying to be careful but can't help but worry think I'm going to get a scan for my own peace of mind

BusyNothings · 11/08/2016 19:22

choccybiscuit · 11/08/2016 19:23

marmite top tip! I think I'll use that one. Just hope my mum doesn't ask what type of antibiotics I'm on as she's always having UTI's. missmoomoo I started with pink spotting yesterday and has died off today. I had it with my two other pregnancies also.

marmitecheesetoast · 11/08/2016 19:49

Trimethoprim choccy! (Had many a uti in my time too!)

MissMooMoo · 11/08/2016 19:58

Bleeding is like a period now and red.
Im sure i must be having a miscarriage.
Did a test that I had lying around and its stark white,I know its late in the day and wasn't able to hold my wee for very long but this doesn't look good Sad

LuchiMangsho · 11/08/2016 20:03

Oh love. That is hard. I won't offer false hope. Many many hugs. Many of us have been there and we know what it is like. Be kind to yourself. It will happen, I promise.

positiveglow · 11/08/2016 20:05

Thanks v much drinkyourmilk for adding me to list. Appreciate that 👍👌😘

finova · 11/08/2016 20:11

Oh so sorry Moo Moo Flowers
Fingers crossed.

drinkyourmilk · 11/08/2016 20:11

MissMooMoo I'm honestly understand what you are going through. It was me Monday.
if you have that much blood get to bed. Call your local midwifery service and if they aren't open call nhs whatever it is now. Honestly - I soaked through to the matress. Had clots. I appreciate it's unusual - but I'm fine atm. If you can't get hold of anyone you can go to A&E. I know you don't need extra worry but you need to check it's not a haemorrhage.
The midwife told us its not uncommon to have a big bleed. Especially if it's around the right time for a period for you. It's not always the end.
I'm sat here in tears for you as I remember how awful this is. Take care of yourself sweetheart. Xxx (fuck mumsnet rules)

TopKittyKat · 11/08/2016 20:11

Oh MooMoo - I'm so sorry Flowers Chocolate

finova · 11/08/2016 20:12

TopKittyKat · 11/08/2016 20:13
