Morning everyone.

33 weeks today Smile I'm still in denial about the exit route for baby if I'm being honest....

Sorry to hear your news miley
*
Potato* spiders scare the shit out of me! Hope you manage to rest and relax today.

Pink your bump looks fab by the way - still really neat!

Dr - good news your growth scan went well.

Bunch great news for you too. Do you have a date for your dads return yet?

I had a really nice day yesterday and think we've chosen our pushchair! We were all set on the babyZen yoyo but are now leaning towards the bugaboo bee. DH also put together the cotbed so that's up in the nursery now which is really exciting! Smile

Sodasoda · 27/07/2016 10:38

I don't know why my phone does that stupid thing with bold now. Sorry ladies!

PotatosMum · 27/07/2016 11:33

Argh! Just spoke to my estate agent who has basically told me that she's used her contacts to find out that the vendor is full of shit. Basically they didn't want to move out as agreed so they asked for the money thinking we'd agree to delay rather than pay it. In effect by agreeing to pay we've completely screwed up their plans which I'm quite happy about also they're lying about not being informed of the completion dates because the sales progressor at my estate agent told them two weeks ago. AngryAngryAngry I'm so cross there are no words!!!!

Soda yay for 33 weeks.

Dr glad the growth scan is ok.

Have to say that I'm terrified I'm going to have to stay in hospital for a few days. After the panic attack I had last time I'm not sure how I'm going to face it if it comes to it. I'm hoping that having Potato with me will make all the difference but I'm not sure Sad

Mileymoocow · 27/07/2016 12:53

potato I'd be absolutely hitting the roof! Jesus, how incompetent Angry

Thanks dr, glad growth scan went well Smile

Exciting that you've decided on a pram soda!! I do love a bugaboo. What colour will you go for? I found pram shopping the most exciting out of everything - how sad!!

Just bought this set with a matching dummy clip for my cousins baby girl and I really love them

IndiX · 27/07/2016 13:02

Oh potato that's a piss take! I'd be furious too.
Miley that set is adorable! Where's it from? I'm really conscious not to buy any more clothes or cute baby bits before my baby showers as I'm sure she's going to be very spoilt. It's SO hard not to buy everything though!
Dr glad to hear the scan was fine and baby is doing well.

Sodasoda · 27/07/2016 13:54

I don't know how you're managing to remain even vaguely calm potato!

Miley we've just measured up our car boot (it's a mini!) and it fits so think we're going ahead! We like the red - thought that worked for girl or boy.

Baby clothes are very hard to resist - I'm glad I'm having vanilla as I think it's stopping me going mad as I know I'll want some obvious girl / boy clothes when they're here. But I did buy this today! Love it!

leoniethelioness · 27/07/2016 14:54

Just returned from my 31 week appointment. I'm measuring 32 cm which the midwife is happy with but I'm way above my personalised growth chart, which is BMI based. She has plotted me on the normal universal chart and said she won't be referring me for growth scans for being 32 cm at 31 weeks. She seemed happy so I am too. My iron levels are all fine and baby's heartbeat was fine too. Baby is head down but not engaged. Back in 3 weeks.

BunchOfBobs · 27/07/2016 15:39

Potato your calmness is amazing, what utter twunts.

Glad everything was okay at appointments Dr and Leonie.

I've officially repacked my hospital bags, coconut oil disaster has been rectified. The bags and car seat are going in the car from tomorrow as we're off to my parents tomorrow for the weekend. It all feels very real and close now. I'm officially next in line to pop from my hypno group, one of the ladies from last night had her daughter this morning and two have already had theirs.

I've noticed the last couple of days things have gotten so much more hard work to do. I'm so much more tired, I can no longer get dressed by myself without almost dying. I'm starving alllll the time and really I need to get shares in loo roll as I'm never off the thing. Raspberry leaf tea drinking begins in earnest on Friday. Let the popping commence Grin.

Newmrs22 · 27/07/2016 16:55

potato they sound awful! Well done for staying calm.

Miley sorry to hear about your aunt Flowers

Bunch I'm drinking raspberry leaf tea now Grin

I'm upset because DH just spotted my first stretch marks Sad guess it had to happen at some point!

Feefeefs · 27/07/2016 18:15

They are ridiculous potato! Have you looked into any ways to help manage your fear on the ward? Is it the lack of control that scares you or thinking what might go wrong? I used to be majorly terrified/phobia of hospitals/needles all to do with tonsillectomy gone horribly wrong(sounds frantic but really was horrific) and then my mums cancer treatment and death in hospital, it took a long time to get through it but I work in one now and will give birth where I work and it's actually turned into the thing I feel most secure in about the whole pregnancy/childbirth.

That is the cutest thing ever soda! Where did you get it? (I want one!)

Glass the Drs/midwife went well dr and leonie I didn't even know they did BMI based growth charts! I can already see all the possible errors in the that so if she's happy I bet she's a better judge!

Eeek bunch very exciting!!!

Pinklily1 · 27/07/2016 18:19

Try sound like a nightmare Potato, and total idiots too.

At what point can you start drinking raspberry leaf tea? I'll be getting on that as well as curries and pineapple nearer the time! Our NCT tutor said sex is the best thing to kick start labour as there is something in sperm which gets things going Smile

Glad your midwife appointment went well Leonie and that your growth scan was ok Dr. I don't find the growth charts the easiest things to read but from memory I was measuring 32 cm at 34 weeks and that was ok by the midwife.

I'm struggling today. Super tired, sore back, bad reflux and shooting pains in the groin. I'm worried I'm going to overdose on Gaviscon! Pregnancy delights! For those who get reflux during the night, do you try and prop yourself up to sleep? I often get it before bed but last night was the first time it actually woke me up during the night.

Pinklily1 · 27/07/2016 18:20

Also, Soda, that baby grow is adorable! Do you mind me asking where you got it? Loving the little feet Grin

BunchOfBobs · 27/07/2016 18:30

Pink you can have raspberry leaf tea I think from 34 weeks but my midwife suggested not before 37 so as not to have the baby too early. Im waiting until parents are back in the U.K.
I sleep half propped up on my side, it's a killer for my spd but means I can actually sleep for periods of time. I'm also going though 1l of gaviscon a week Hmm

Pinklily1 · 27/07/2016 18:37

Thanks Bunch, I'll ask my midwife about starting the raspberry leaf tea.

For the Gaviscon, do you find the liquid works better than the chewable tablets? I've not managed to bring myself to drink the liquid stuff yet as I'm convinced it must taste vile ( in my head it's like a pink coloured banana milkshake, but for no reason other than there is pink on the bottle!!)

Danni89 · 27/07/2016 18:45

I asked my midwife about the tea today pink and she said from 36 weeks.

What raspberry leaf tea/brand are you both using bunch and new?

Mileymoocow · 27/07/2016 18:58

pink I bought peptac on bunches advice and I find it better than gaviscon. It isn't exactly delicious but you can get it in peppermint which is definitely 100x better than the aniseed! I also sleep propped up on my side which isn't the most comfortable but at least I get some sleep

indi they're from an etsy page called bibsandbootiesuk and they do loads of prints. Absolutely gorgeous! The girl is on holiday now for a week but she h's a Facebook page you can browse by the same name.

bunch I feel like that now! So god knows how dead I'm going to feel in 8 weeks!!! As soon as your dad is home you better get jumping OH! We want baby pics Grin

Mileymoocow · 27/07/2016 19:01

Anyone else's OH getting massively protective? He's insisting I text him every time I get somewhere when I'm driving and has been ringing me from work on nightshift to make sure the doors are all locked! It's very sweet but he had a bit of a panic yesterday when me and my brother went to my grandma's and he didn't hear from me for 3 hours. It's totally not like him at all, he's very caring but not usually that intense. Babies do weird things to men...

PotatosMum · 27/07/2016 19:41

Miley what a cute set Smile

Aww, your over protective OH problem is adorable.

Soda that dinosaur sleep suit is adorable Smile

Leonie glad your 31 week appointment went well and all is looking good Smile

Bunch I can totally relate to your comments about your life the past couple of days, especially the loo roll and getting dressed ones. Outing pants or trousers on is now a major ordeal and I have to sit on my birthing ball to dry my hair after a shower because I just don't have the energy to stand in front of the mirror. Confused

New sorry the stretch marks have started to appear. If it makes you feel any better mine seem to fade to a pink blush witching a few days.

Feef I'm not actually afraid of hospitals at all. I have a form of agoraphobia. I get panic attacks if I feel trapped or out of control of my environment. It doesn't effect me very often. The last time I had a flare up before going to hospital a few weeks ago was at Glastonbury during the Rolling Stones because the pyramid stage field was seriously overcrowded and I couldn't get out.
In hospital I think it's the knowledge that I can't go home if I want to. I feel trapped and that makes me panic.
It's not a major issue usually as very few things set it off and the best way to combat it when it is a problem is to have someone with you that you trust. So I'm fine while OH is there but as soon as it gets to the end of visiting hours I start to freak out.

I'll be fine during labour as I feel in control of that. But if I have to stay in afterwards I'm sure I will feel trapped. I'm hoping the fact that I'll have Potato with me if I do stay in will give me a sense of control but it could go either way.

leoniethelioness · 27/07/2016 20:14

I've had Clipper raspberry leaf tea in the past (when not pregnant). Recall it being nice!

Sodasoda · 27/07/2016 20:49

Glad all appointments have gone well today. I also had consultant appointment this afternoon and everything looks fine. I have another growth scan next week to make sure everything is on track.

Pink and feef I got the babygro in house of Fraser, just in baby section. It's a brand I've never heard of - polarn o. pyret and they had some amazing things in their range in store! I've been checking out their website - https://www.polarnopyret.co.uk and there's a sale Smile

ElleSarcasmo · 27/07/2016 21:41

Miley so sorry about your auntie Flowers hope your cousin is doing ok. Bet she will love the little set!

Potato your vendors are awful! their karma must be awful.

Love the suit too Soda!

I've got really bad foot and lower leg swelling...I'm only 22 weeks, wtf is going to happen later?! Hoping it's the heat and it will go away. It's making me feel really fat and unattractive Sad

Feefeefs · 27/07/2016 22:02

Aw that makes sense potato a bit different to fear of the hospital itself then. Hopefully you'll be in and out quickly! Do you ever take anything to help? If I remember correctly your bottle feeding? Hopefully then they could give you something if you needed rather than letting you get too distressed. Well let's hope it's in and out that would be the best!

Thanks for that soda! Will have a look!

Feefeefs · 27/07/2016 22:18

Just spent £40 soda Blushfirst clothes for baby bought! Didn't get the same thing got some lovely stuff in the sale tho! Good for a vanilla baby nice and colourful but not too gendered

Sodasoda · 27/07/2016 22:58

Ha good work feef! That's what I thought - lots of colour but still lots of gender neutral stuff. Have been a bit bored by grey / white choices for newborn which is why I've hardly bought anything yet so was really excited to find this make Grin
