ChatterNatterer I think we have the same due date- 8th Oct?

I've not heard anything about a 28 week scan- does it depend on what area you're in?

Struggling with heartburn still and swollen ankles in the heat!

Afreshstartplease · 21/07/2016 18:40

I was also going to ask about you all having 28 week scans!

I've never had one past 20

It was mentioned to me I may need growth scans from 28 weeks this time around due to last two babies being LGA , is it growth scans your all having?

27+1 today. Boob's have been leaking ever so slightly past few days and feeling a bit sore. Still nothing from physio about spd.

Nearly 29 weeks, anyone else getting really nostalgic for their old body. I want to dance until I'm out of breath, go for a run, and you know...walk up stairs without dying. The reality will be different I know... I'll probably still be fat and knackered but I already can't wait to power walk with that buggy!!! Feel soooooo heavy. I don't think the rest of my body has actually got that much bigger as legs in things aren't tight, but I definitely feel my torso is broader, and my bump is so huge it actually hangs down from the weight. Moan moan moan...I cant wait for my baby!!!! I can't wait for maternity leave first though!!!

FuckJeffGoldblumMan · 21/07/2016 21:00

I'm 29 + 2 and I want to be able to walk from one end of the shop I work in to the other without feeling out of breath

I'd like to be able to tie my laces without crushing internal organs

And I'd like my boobs to just be comfortable

I fell down the stairs yesterday night, I have internal bruising to my Arse cheek.

Afreshstartplease · 21/07/2016 21:16

Oh dear Jeff hope your OK aside from the arse bruising. I've gone fucking ridiculously clumsy since about 24 weeks. I'm always clumsy, but his is ridic. I can't walk past anything without walking into it....

Afreshstart - apologies, im clearly losing the plot as i didnt actually have a 28 week scan, i had a 28 week midwife apt where she measured my bumpConfused losing the ability to communicate clearly with the heat and the bump hehe.

Jeff, sorry to hear about the bum bruising - it seems you are retaining a gsoh!

Bluecarrot · 21/07/2016 21:58

in my last pregnancy I got a scan at every hospital appointment ( every other month til last month, then I think it was weekly?) and seems to be the same way this time. But last time baby was huge and same expected this time.

ChatterNatterer · 21/07/2016 22:13

honnob yes we do :D Not long now!

I am having scans as I am a fatty and they said measuring my flab bump wouldn't show baby's size so I have to have scans instead Blush I was a 14/16 before getting pregnant so I didn't think I was huge! Ho hum!

Hope you're okay after your fall Jeff I fell down a few stairs at home when I was about 10 weeks and just hurt my back but I cried from the shock of falling and felt a right idiot for being so clumsy! Lol!
Had my Mw appointment today - blood pressure still border line but lower than the hospital reading and no need to worry yet! She told me to not let the consultant scare me about early induction - she said they have to say that when they explain the implications of high blood pressure but as I'm not on meds for it yet I don't need to worry as if it stays at current readings I will be okay :) think work isn't helping but got too much to do before mat leave starts I think being signed off would make me really guilty :/

EnoughAlready999 · 22/07/2016 00:37

Yes Clank I want my old body back. Went to the beach and wore a bikini but felt quite self-conscious. Rightly so as then I realised my books didn't really fit in my bikini top - think my nappies were partly showing Blush

My latest craving is chewing on a damp flannel! Weird I know. I also really want some nice cold cider and sometimes wine! Weird as I don't drink much at all usually but with it being summer I miss certain drinks with meals - pasty and beer for example (I am a West country maid Grin)

EnoughAlready999 · 22/07/2016 00:38

*Boobs not books!

EnoughAlready999 · 22/07/2016 00:39

Argh! Nipples not nappies! Is it me or the phone? Grr!

Northernlight22 · 22/07/2016 08:10

Yeah, mine are growth scans - 28, 32 and 36 weeks. At first I was quite miffed that I'd have to have them but now it's quite reassuring especially given all my early anxiety and problems. There's a real baby in there now!

I'm not necessarily longing for my old body, but my old stamina levels and ability to walk and roll over comfortably in bed would be good .... Well, would be amazing actually!

Tomkat79 · 22/07/2016 08:32

Haha enough books and nappies!

These 3rd tri symptoms have hit me like a ton of bricks this week. I too am clumsy and sister mentioned to me at work yesterday that she'll be keeping me out of the procedure room at work for a while! Ha. Shame though as only cool room in the clinic.

Anyone else struggling with emotions too? I really fancied a dirty Chinese last night, then I read the menu and cried because there was nothing I fancied. I'm so glad this is my last pregnancy, my body couldn't cope with round 4 of this!!

Northernlight22 · 22/07/2016 10:51

Yep, I cry at so much stuff!! I'm also so forgetful now - I can't remember anyone's name anymore when I'm talking about them!

April241 · 22/07/2016 11:32

Morning everyone, hope everyone is well today.

26 weeks today and my pregnancy+ app changed to the third trimester, how strange! Was expecting it to change till at least 27 or 28 like my other app. It's also saying I'm 7 months pregnant...weird, I'd say 6.5 months.

It's nice and cool here today, thank goodness! We're going to pick our pram up tomorrow - can't wait!!!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 22/07/2016 19:36

Jeff I hope you're ok after your fall.

Fresh how are you managing with SPD? I finally saw the physio today - she was very helpful, gave me a few exercises to do, along with a support belt and crutches. I feel a bit ridiculous using the crutches, and I think I'd struggle to use them when I have DS on my own, so I think I'll probably only use them when I know I'm going to be walking longer distances.

I'm feeling lots of kicks and movement now, some of the kicks to the bladder are really painful! I've also been getting cramp in my calves every night, which is just lovely. This pregnancy lark is delightful!

Hope everyone else is well.

Afreshstartplease · 22/07/2016 19:46

Spd seems a bit hit and miss during the day

Some days I am fine with paracetamol , others I'm struggling on codine

Nights though are awful , can't turn over without being in agony, can't lie in one position for too long , if I get up my legs feel like they can't support me , when I get up after being lay down I can't put my legs straight and walk like a cow boy

27+2 and dropping to part time hours next week thank god

Sorry to hear you're struggling fresh. I'm also struggling with rolling over in bed, and getting up from lying/sitting is excruciating. I'm so glad DH is off for the summer holidays and can help with DS for a while.

Bluecarrot · 22/07/2016 22:38

Sounds really tough afreshstart. Have you seen anyone for physio or anything?

Afreshstartplease · 23/07/2016 06:45

I am still waiting for physio. I referred myself at end April/start May. Gp isn't really interested , just gives me painkillers.

Supposed to be receiving a mamas and papas delivery today of all our nursery furniture, car seat and the kitchen sink. Not had an email or text as per their process and now worriedly waiting til customer service opens at 9am to check it's actually coming today as the receipt says Hmm Why did I google reviews on their delivery service! Now I am convinced it won't arrive til next week and when it does arrive it will be broken and crap Sad

Afreshstartplease · 23/07/2016 08:00

I've never had problems with m&p delivery if that helps. I can't remember getting a text but I'm sure I'd remember if they had pissed me off lol I do hold grudges.

OP posts:
ChatterNatterer · 23/07/2016 08:13

Thanks fresh I hope it's all good - and nothing turns up broken - I guess people usually leave reviews if they're peed off which is why there's so many angry reviews? Fingers crossed! Smile

Afreshstartplease · 23/07/2016 08:43

Fingers crossed for you chatter!

OP posts:
Northernlight22 · 23/07/2016 09:03

Fingers crossed chatter - I've not had problems previously. Mothercare were a nightmare though, but i did get money back because of it so can't grumble too much!

I've woken up with heartburn today - eugh!
