Thank you all, you've really helped reassure me. DP came home from work today (I'm off sick) and was really good, seemed that the air has cleared somewhat. It's the evenings I find hard though.

Baby isn't moving as much as usual today which hasn't helped, his kicks are sedate and his movements aren't very often - however, my stomach has really tightened and almost feels like it's about to pop out of my belly button, so perhaps he's moved. All happened very suddenly so I imagine he's shifted Smile

afreshstart - I keep forgetting to book mine!

Kariana · 15/07/2016 08:20

Missy I have days where my stomach goes tight and the movements lessen. I think it's when he jams his back into my front and aims all his kicks at my placenta (which is at the back). It terrified me the first day it happened as the movements were so reduced but I've got used to it happening now. It's usually followed by a couple of days of very vigorous moving when he turns back!

Also my dh sometimes puts his hands on my stomach and can feel lots of movement going on even when I can't feel anything inside. I've also watched my stomach twitching and not been able to feel a thing, even though he's very obviously kicking. I assume there are place in there were there aren't many nerves so sometimes not feeling the kicks doesn't mean they aren't happening!

Afreshstartplease · 15/07/2016 09:29

Baby has recently at times been getting in a position where movements are painful, I think it's when he's going feet down and kicking something that hurts

Ouch

Kept me awake for hours the other night

At home today with a poorly three year old, trying to sort out my bin-house. Despite having planned not to bring baby stuff in before getting rid of stuff we don't need I appear to have done the opposite. There is stuff everywhere.

"bin-house" hahah!

Shooting vag pains are no fun either!

I'm off sick again today, the upper back pain/breathlessness is still kicking around but decided to just start as soon as I woke up and got dressed rather than gradually building up throughout the day. Have figured out the only comfortable position I can get into it so lie on my side so it's a couch day for me - my house is like a shit tip aswell!

Afreshstartplease · 15/07/2016 10:44

Well I've not done much yet

I would love a sofa day

We get our new house keys today I've been up and down stairs and out to the car about 20 times already it's really made me realise how much clothes I have Confused I'm only emptying my wardrobe and 3 crates of handbags!!

Afreshstartplease · 15/07/2016 12:03

The stairs are killing me atm figgy I don't envy you moving at 6/7 months gone. I once did it at 8 months and lived out of boxes for bloody ages

OP posts:
Northernlight22 · 15/07/2016 20:45

Definitely don't envy you there figgy - we moved in about 9 months ago and I'm still attempting to unpack and get sorted!

Stairs are killing me too - pleased we have a downstairs loo as I now don't go upstairs unless I really have to (usually just to go to bed!)

Figgygal · 15/07/2016 21:52

Well lots of crap has now been moved from a to b in current house but now needs to go to new house oh god I can't be arsed with it

Afreshstartplease · 16/07/2016 07:11

Oh dear figgy I hope you have lots of help

Bad nights sleep here. Poorly DC3 + spd is not good combination.

Bump is really achey today and feel like I've been proper booted in the bits Sad

26+3

Aww Figgy take it easy! Don't hurt yourself. We moved into a bigger flat about 2 months ago and the second room is still all boxes.

Feel better soon Fresh :(

Afreshstartplease · 16/07/2016 14:38

More baby stuff has just been delivered. Argh. It's everywhere

Sorry if this is tmi buy I seem to be swollen on my right side down there. I know it all get more fluid going to it during pregnancy and that's why it (& boobs) feels more full/enlarged but it's definitely uneven and a bit tender. I mentioned it to my midwife 9 days ago and she just asked if I had varicose veins which I don't so she wasn't worried. But it's got worse and I do have a thread vein on my inner thigh which looks more obvious now and is also slightly raised. Oh dear, I feel so old! Didn't have any of this 10 years ago Sad

Afreshstartplease · 17/07/2016 07:40

I do remember something similar happening to me when I had DC2 (7 years ago) it was after sex and lasted a couple of days then went down. There were no veins though, maybe you should get her vein looked at.

I thought I was the only one mad enough to be moving whilst heavily pregnancy, I'm amazed at how many people on here have done/are doing it. Makes me feel less mad! I'll be 7 and a half months when we move but I started packing weeks ago. One of the first things I did was pack all my clothes into a giant suitcase as they no longer fit. Dreading the rest of the process although I can't wait to be in the new house and to start ordering baby things properly.

I've not got SPD luckily but I've obviously been a bit too lazy recently because I'm suddenly struggling to walk anywhere now I'm being a bit more active. The muscles in my legs ache after about ten minutes of slow walking and the bottom of my feet are on fire! I'm assuming it's the extra weight which has obviously come as a shock to my poor body after 3 weeks of walking very little. Need to turn back time and make myself get off my backside!

Afreshstartplease · 17/07/2016 08:42

Thinking about it I've moved twice in pregnancy.

At 8 months with DC1 and at 6 months with DC2!

We've been in current rented property for 6 years now and no intention of moving until we can buy. Moving is awful. Moving with kids is awful awful awful

Nickname1980 · 17/07/2016 10:01

I'm up for sale and actually hoping to move just before the baby comes! Everyone thinks I'm a bit mad, but I say better now than when the baby comes. Also don't really want to be allowing viewings on my current place with a newborn baby.

I am going to look into how expensive it is for movers to also pack if we do manage to sell and buy, though, as we also have a toddler. I don't know if I can bring myself to spend that money on packers... But that would take out so much stress!

Good luck with your move, Kariana!

April241 · 17/07/2016 10:37

My friend is also moving! Her baby is 5 weeks old now but they sold about 2 weeks ago and there just waiting on everything to be finalised. Trust us! Can't do one big thing at a time haha. We're planning on staying in this flat now for a few years and then we'll buy a house. Luckily this flat belongs to my OHs family so we have über cheap rent and no landlords as such to deal with. We're making a start on the babies room this weekend, planning on emptying all the boxes so we can start decorating. Can't believe we're at the decorating stage now.

Enough - my friend with the new baby had that at the end of the second and for the whole of the third trimester, swollen all down one side (she called it her Quasimodo Fanny!!! Quasi-Fan for short). Her mw said it was the way baby was lying and it was fluid. As soon as he was born it was gone, she said it was literally almost instant.

Afreshstartplease · 17/07/2016 10:43

I haven't been able to face painting the room baby will be sharing with DC3, but I have put up most of the furniture as the boxes were driving me insane

Thanks Fresh & April, I'm glad to hear it's kind of normal although I do wonder how much worse it'll get over the next 13 weeks! Might ring the midwife again and see what she says.

I've suddenly got a lot bigger over the past few weeks. I do think the extra weight will be harder to shift this time - last time aged 24 I was back in my normal jeans 2 weeks later! Almost wish I was due in the summer so I'd feel more like getting out for walks. And just don't want to be pregnant anymore anyway Sad

FuckJeffGoldblumMan · 17/07/2016 12:00

AFresh it's me. I'm 28 weeks and having a girl. Still in shock but need some advice due to pains

I keep getting a dull ache down one side of my back like I've been carrying a heavy weight around.

Also a stitch like pain in my right lower side.

Stretch marks are appearing as well.

April241 · 17/07/2016 12:12

Hello Jeff!!! Smile Flowers

Congratulations on your girl! Is your bump getting big now? Could be just the weight of that causing stretching and could be affecting your posture. Might also be round ligament pain - does it feel like a stabby pain if you sneeze/move quickly etc? RLP is more commonly felt on the right side but can be both or left sided only.

Afreshstartplease · 17/07/2016 12:15

Hello!

I saw another thread saying you were having a girl, lovely news. The shock is still normal I'm sure, you have had a lot to take in these past weeks.

RE the pain have you been assigned a midwife? If so perhaps give her a call or even call the hospital?

I often get a stitch in my lower left side while pregnant when I'm moving about alot. Is your when moving?

Aches and pains in pregnancy are usually normal but if your worried you should always get checked out.

I've been achey low down in bump this past few days but I've been doing lots and the bump is now a considerable size .

I've seen pictures this week on another forum of a baby due in October that has already been born, seeing those made it seem so real to me and made me realise the size of baby by now is fairly big! Some how the pictures of fruit and veg you get on apps don't have the same affect!

I'm moving house too, in 10 days time. Dreading it, where I live it's 45 degrees and humid, not fun with bump. Luckily we have movers/packers and they'll do most of the work but we'll still be in and out, up and down stairs a thousand times and lots of stuff to unpack. Glad to get it over now, any later in pregnancy and I'd be stuffed.

Feeling quite breathless for the last few days and have a pain in my rib cage when I cough, it's around the side/back on my left side. I'm assuming it's from lifting DC1 who is 2yrs but the size of a 4yr old.

kariana I'm struggling physically too- was planning on doing more walking but the breathlessness puts me off. Good luck with your move- you are v organized to have started packing. I've done nothing and starting to panic!
