our is like the bigger bouncer you linked.

I echo notsolilkel about the begging for advice.DD will be 17 months when dd 2 arrives. Some days I cant even manage with one!I range from being really blaze about it to omygod!Today im the latter!

Also I asked about a c section due to my tear the last time and they were having none of it, as its not policy in Hertfordshire. My only pain 'saving' option is a planned episiotomy. But the thought of planning to be cut open down below when I may not need to be makes me feel physically sick, (im a bit squeamish)even though I know logically it would be better than tearing again, so I said I would wait and see.All being well will have got my epidural way before any of that needs to be done and this time the baby will come out on its own and without ventouse before it all wares off like last time.O bugger, now cant stop thinking about the labour-I know its not pc to say it but I found it really horrific last time and im terrified this time..Sorry all you first timers-everyones is different and im sure all of yours will be sweet 5 hour minimal pain affairs...Im just piss poor at coping with pain thats all..I am a total weed and I havent had long enough to forget last time yet I dont think..

No snow yet.in fact lovely sunshine.I want to go home!Going to have a row with a neglectful social worker instead. That will perk me up.

I made a stew last night as was feeling guilty about being such a rubbish wife and Mum lately-have been too tired to cook or clean much in the evenings so have depeleted all the meals I cooked before and froze for the nights I cant be bothered instead.(which has been nearly all of them for about a month!)I left it cooking on a low heat in the slow cooker all last night and today so it will be lovely by the time I get back and just right for a winters eve..Plus it will save me a job tonight and maybe tomorrow as there is tons of it.Cant wait!

LupinsBigLump · 24/01/2007 15:41

Lol scooter at scaring all the 1st timers, I made stew as well last night, good hearty meal and they had it for lunch today, it was yummy

Ok you have all got me thinking about labour now - was trying to avoid i lol, I would happily have another cs if the circumstances called for it - not sure what my consultant is going to suggest this time round, as I have said before tho I am not going beyond 38 weeks, so however they need to get it out, I have been induced and that was pretty intense, pro's for cs, will be nice and asleep (no epidural pls)- no pain or pushing - no baby with pointy head lol, ideally will be elective not emergancy like last time so I can get my mum up to look after dd, against cs, having to cope with pain afterwards - didnt find it too bad last time as I live with pain on daily basis, having to cope with baby and 4.5 yr old this time and mum having moved away - altho she did say she would come and stay for a bit - hmmmmm what to do what to do

2 days and counting till I get my micralite wooohooo, going to put baby annabel in it to test run lol

We went snowballing in the park, was great fun, nice chance to do something all together - quite rare

twelveyeargap · 24/01/2007 15:51

DH needs some time to get over the shock of paying out a fortune for all the new appliances before I hit him with a Mountain Buggy. Tsk. At least he's agreed to it. I bamboozled him with info and he's just said, "What about that three wheeled one they had in that shop. That looked cool and really easy to fold." To which I replied that that was a MB. Mwwwahhhaaa. Hurrah!

cinnamontam · 24/01/2007 16:28

I just had some vanilla icecream and this little one is having a sugar rush! Has anyone seen that Simpsons episode where Homer goes to the doctor and they wobble his belly to see how fat he is and it wobbles on for hours? Well she is kicking so much my belly is wobbling like Homer - hilarious.

Does this make me a bad mother?

FSF - my DH is in telecoms (nothing as glam as forces cause i really don't mind those uniforms ) so he's off to France for 2 weeks to do an install for a big telco company and then 1 week in Italy to hold a clients hand. Very blah but he's very good at bringing me back pressies from each destination - often from the airport but I'm not complaining.

largeginandtonic · 24/01/2007 16:46

Scooter can i have some stew please? It sounds delish. Please dont worry about your next labour, believe me dd was horrific, i was in labour from 6 am till 8.40pm, i was pushing from 4.30. She got stuck and i had to transfer in to hosp with sirens going the lot(she was a planned home birth). I was screaming and when i got there i was still pushing this enourmous stuck head out. She moved position a little in the ambulance ride and i finally got her out at 8.40 with a very nasty 3rd degree tear. It was very bad, but ds who followed just 23 mths later was fine. I sort of laboured for about 7 hours but didnt really feel like anything was progressing till my waters broke at midnightish, he was born after 20 mins of pushing at 1.40. Only a little tear that was stitched the next day. I had him at home BTW. Please dont worry, they are not all the same. Hugs to you )))))hugs((((((

DD was fine at hosp, she is not as deaf as we thought but has severe glue are that has inverted her ear drums, so they want to do gromits and take her adenoids out to stop the recurrent infections. We are on the list now and it probably happen in the next 4 months. I have made them put my due date on the form cos i dont really want to be in at the time the baby is due or just after!

Am off to make tea for the monsters...boo hooo

Frenchsmallfry · 24/01/2007 17:09

Congratulation on your cunning achievement TYG. Wonder how long it'll take dh to work out he's been womanised.

Cinnamontam, I hope dh has a lovely time in France (I've heard it's alright over the water) even if he will be working. I don't think eating some ice cream makes you a bad Mommy. If it does then there is no hope for me. I am partial to a few sweet things, in moderation of course.

Oh I'm becoming addicted to the smileys again, I weaned myself off them for a while but it's creeping up again

Lwatkins · 24/01/2007 17:31

Evening all, hope all mummy's and bumps are ok! How freakin cold does the weather need to be? It's not snowing here but it may as well be! Have just started eating dinner, cauliflour cheese grills and fries, mmmmm. Anybody want any, tough it's all mine cause i'm greedy
Have started my work now, 88 words so far woohoo! Only another 2,412 to go sob sob!

cinnamontam · 24/01/2007 17:38

FSF - it's all the great food, wine, cheese and decent service he's going to get in France that I'm jealous of Bugger me being on my own for 3 weeks - he's just not allowed to have more fun than me...boo hooo, poor me

Good work with the MB TYG. My DH is a gadget free and looks at me in horror when i suggest maybe getting something second hand. He wants the newest, biggest, most funkiest doodads

ShowOfHands · 24/01/2007 18:04

Evening all. Hope everybody is well and eating lots of delicious food. Waiting for my delicious food to miraculously appear (got home to find DH doing sit-ups and weight type things- oh the joys of being married to a triathlete). Hurry up man, I want some dinner! He's a good cook and I'm starving.

Aherm...

Been for my 24weeks check today and little Mathilda is measuring 26weeks. Told you, pick a name that means 'mighty in battle', DD ends up a tank. I'm not fussed, I know how inaccurate fundal height measurements are and the midwife thought it was probably my bladder being too full. Everything else is as should be, blood pressure's normal, baby's fine, homebirth still planned. The midwife did three homebirths in one night last week, she said it's her favourite bit of the job.

Dejags, you have to have a thick skin or at least a strong stomach on here. LG&T has a pornographic nun/man in uniform/sword fetish and several of the May 07ers seem to think pate is an actual foodstuff instead of a waste product and freely admit to eating it. And not a day goes by without one of us discussing our nether regions. Throw in little Hugs and his dirty nappies and discussions of gas/wind and it's a real test of willpower not to scream and run in disgust.

cinnamontam · 24/01/2007 18:20

Good lord woman - what are you feeding your Mathilda?

I am sewing up my bathers (boobs keep falling out) and off to my first deep aqua class. Did it in Oz and loved it so looking forward to this one. Going to be all exercisey and healthy and then will come home and feast on....pate!!

Frenchsmallfry · 24/01/2007 18:20

ROFL, SOH

Was about to say don't get lg&t started on her pornographic nuns, but then read on to the paté bit of which it is very much a lovely thing, MKG thinks we are "posh" for eating it. YOU don't miss a trick do you?

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 24/01/2007 18:49

Pate is not a foodstuff. I repeat- it's what should be thrown away after you have made actual edible offerings.

Yuckety yuck yuck.

And Mathilda's probably a biffa because she's 97% gingerbread.

largeginandtonic · 24/01/2007 19:03

HA! Sooo funny SOH, thats enough to scare anyone off!!!!

Did tell you i have a new movie? Its called Pirates and it does not feature Johnny Depp (although it would be pretty bloody brill if it did) LOL

Aaaaagh Mathilda.....you go girl, if you keep growing at this rate SOH she may come out walking... You are being very sensible not worrying, it could even be the way she is lying in there.

I have just given all the kids Dominos....bad mommy. They were very happy though, the twins can eat as much as me now!Was just going ballistik after bathtime and was stood leaning on the foos ball table in Jonah's room counting to 10 for him to finally get dry. Hugs came and lent on the table in front of me and started counting too....PMSL....Had to leave the room it was so funny and that did not match my 'dont mess with mummy mood'

Parenting sooooo hard sometimes, i keep waiting for a grown up to appear to tell me how to do it...

I just read down the thread a bit and RE use of oxo in baby cooking. I wouldnt reccommend it, if i did i would use it mega diluted. An alternative is a cow and gate 'gravy', you can buy it in boots and it comes in a tub like the Bisto would but it's for babies and very low or zilch salt. I used gravy, oxo occasionally though and mine are ok..ish i suppose Will try and find a link for ya!

Am off to have a very nice cold stella, the baby wants it.....

aprilmeadow · 24/01/2007 19:54

Just ordered this chair for baby . Been thinking about it for ages and decided it was time to stop researching and just buy it!

SOH - lol at 97% Gingerbread.

TYG - well done on the buggy front, very cunning

Off out in a bit for dh grandads leaving do. They're moving to Yorkshire on Friday, thats a good 5-6 hr drive for us!

Hope you are all keeping well.

Frenchsmallfry · 24/01/2007 20:20

Snow, Snow, Snow OMG....... Haven't looked out since late afternoon and it is now very white everywhere again and still snowing like mad. Reminds me of being on the mountains. hehe not long now til we are off skiing, I won't be doing much this year!!!, few walks here and there, swimming with dd and escorting ds to and from ski school. boo hoo!!!

Not a bad Mummy lg&t a bad Mummy is someone who doesn't ever give them selves a break, therefore not being fit to give full attention. Pizza is a perfectly good food in Moderation. And I'm so pleased you got it, did you have anchovies? Ewwwwk lol at hugs, it is hard to keep a straight face when they make you chuckle.

SOH PMSL at 97percent gingerbread, it's going to stick; and what a lovely nik name.

Very cute chair AM, it's not pink????????????????????????? Pretty flowers though, I am liking it. I am a sucker for the older fashion ones. Although they don't recline they are great for when they are wriggling, dd used to get hers going like mad, she could really bounce it by kicking her legs. Saves the giving them a nudge every time you go past or the bouncing foot on corner of chair. I had a m&p adjustable chair for ds, it is great when they are tiny as it drops back almost flat but it doesn't really "bounce".

MKG · 24/01/2007 22:31

Hey everyone,

I hope that you ladies are doing great. Nothing much to report on my part. Baby is moving, but much like is older brother he is very elusive. I rarely feel him and everything is very light.

It's starting to get really cold here. I hate it, on a good note I finally have my car back, which means I can get out and about more.

I've missed you all, but since life is boring there I wouldn't have much to add right now. I'm starting to get my hospital bag finished up, and I found the cutest outfit for Sebastian to wear home from the hospital. I am over prepared I think, but when month 9 comes I am going to be ready for anything, unlike last time when I was packing the bag an hour before leaving.

aprilmeadow · 24/01/2007 22:34

I know its not pink, but all the girly ones were just so sickly pink i couldnt bear it! We have similar one that J had, but i got it 2nd hand from ebay when he out grew the traditonal thin wired frame one, so thought i would treat Ella to a nice new one. J still loves the one we have for him as it goes upto 35lbs and he only weighs in at 27lbs.

Painting of the nursery begins this weekend - yay! Its all starting to come together....

LADIES I THINK YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN A CERTAIN WEEKLY EVENT!!!!!! TPT SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN IGNORED!

My tpt measurement this week is 8.5 sheets at 26wks. Thats a whole half a sheet growth in many weeks woohoo.

aprilmeadow · 24/01/2007 22:37

Hi MKG, good to see you back on line. Sebastian is a lovely name. You have missed the great buggy/stroller debate, so if you are still in doubt about which is the best one to get then check out this thread and last weeks to see the out come.

MKG · 24/01/2007 22:49

I'm getting this stroller

aprilmeadow · 24/01/2007 23:09

Do you know, i have seen these around and thought what a great idea they are. I just didnt know who made them. Perfect and a great price too.

Lwatkins · 25/01/2007 04:38

Well i'm still up doing my work It's now 1,750 words long and i've already stretched it as far as i can with the word count. I cant physically and mentally say anymore, i've said it all and made the sentances as long as i can! It has to be 2,500 words which i could usually p**s out but i have literally said all i can. We can go under or over (yeah right!) by 10% which would take it to 2,250 words minimum! Another 500 freakin words that i have to magically pull out of my arse - not gonna happen! ooooo it makes me cause it's actually a good piece of work, and i'll get severly marked down for it being under by this much.
And i have really bad back ache from being sat at my computer ALL DAY! Ooooo, bed looks soooo appealing, and i start back uni 2moro - 8:30 AM! Who the hell starts a lecture that EARLY? I'm not paying £3,000 a year to drag my sorry arse out of bed THAT EARLY - it's wrong and it's against my laziness religion lol - i've made an oath to laziness and i like it!

Lwatkins · 25/01/2007 04:40

When i say start back at 8:30 AM 2moro i mean 2moro as in 4 hours time! My body clocks all messed up through lask of sleep - AGAIN!

Lwatkins · 25/01/2007 04:41

And my bum hurts.....
