Albums that's awful about the garden.
Thurlow, Douglas is on our boy list too, I think it's fab!

I am very very glad it's Friday. I already do a full time job in four days, and I was covering someone else too this week. Our secretary bought me a sandwich at 3.45 this afternoon when I hadn't eaten all day. I wish I could have Wine tonight.

latinata · 15/07/2016 19:38

Ooooh was ist das Facebook page?! Shock

needanewjob · 15/07/2016 19:38

Ahh I used to teach a Douglas. We used to call him Hugless Dpuglass after the book. So many lovely names being considered

needanewjob · 15/07/2016 19:41

Douglas!!! This iPhone is awful for not making the obvious corrections whilst also managing to overwrite correct words!?!

Just on our way down to St Ives for 2 weeks. Can't wait, I'm so tired and more than ready to work my way through a bit of chick lit with an ice cream on the beach!

latinata · 15/07/2016 19:50

Oh need that sounds amazing. So many happy memories of St Ives! Please eat a good pasty & lots of clotted cream on behalf of the rest of us. From memory there is an awesome window table at the Porthgwidden Cafe which is worth fighting over!

needanewjob · 15/07/2016 19:58

Latinata it's our fave place for tea so all booked for Sunday - I'll be debt song between crab linguine or fish pie yum! We've gone every year since we've been together so about fifteen years now and it holds so many happy memories for us.

needanewjob · 15/07/2016 19:59

Arrgh debating!!!

Fedupithink · 15/07/2016 20:16

Ahh Need that sounds fab!

I'm off work now for 10 days including the weekends, so pleased not to have any commuting to do. I'm planning on lazy days spent at the gym/pool followed by tea and magazines.

I haven't been to the gym for a few weeks so looking forward to getting back into it.

AlbusPercival · 16/07/2016 14:17

Tell me it's not only my house that looks like a child minders?

Where we are decorating upstairs all baby stuff is in lounge. No one would guess he's not due for over 3 months.

Have friends coming over tonight. They're going to think we're mad aren't they?

bobcat85 · 16/07/2016 15:40

We pre-ordered the Cosatto Giggle 2 travel system today. Only £350 for the car seat, pushchair and carrycot plus loads of extras like changing bag and foot muff and rain cover. It's really light as well and easy to use which is handy.

Fedupithink · 16/07/2016 17:16

Ooh exciting Bob I can't wait to actually order the stuff we've chosen.

Albus I've emptied everything out of the third bedroom so we can decorate as it'll be the nursery which essentially means I've just filled up the second bedroom with all the extra stuff Blush Actually sorting it out will be a job for this week sometime.

Have only got small bits for baby so far so just a few bags but I have started stocking up on nappies and wipes with the weekly shop and they take up so much room!

bobcat85 · 16/07/2016 20:28

Same here Fedup, our second bedroom was a mess because we moved everything out of the third bedroom as that will be the nursery. Took us a while to get sorted but luckily a lot of it was crap that we just ended throwing out anyway.

Gingernut89 · 16/07/2016 21:29

Hi All,

Very New here. About to hit 21 weeks with first baby, very scared but excited at the same time! We found out we are having a little boy so have limited the names... Problem is me and hubby can't agree! We also ordered our pram/buggy today, going for the bugaboo bee with carry cot, does anyone else have experience with a be?
Although I have to say that I found pram shopping was harder than shopping for a new car Blush
Anyway just wanted to say hello and I hope everyone is well :)

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 16/07/2016 22:17

I'm in the second bedroom full of crap situation after we emptied the 3rd bedroom to be the nursery for DD. The problem is now I have a doubly full room to sort out to move DD into it! Confused Wish we'd started that already!
Still no nearer a tandem buggy decision either. I think the summer holidays might be busy with lots of sorting out!

latinata · 17/07/2016 02:39

Welcome Gingernut! I'm going with the Bugaboo Bee too as it's the only thing that will fit in the tiny 1920s lift of our flat! Which colour are you going for? I'm torn between grey, yellow and the petrol blue (having a surprise gender baby!)

Slumberparty · 17/07/2016 03:14

Bobcat85 just had a look at the cosatto giggle 2 and it looks perfect for me. Can I ask where you got it for that price? I love the patterns too! Which pattern did you go for?

bobcat85 · 17/07/2016 07:15

Slumberparty we got it from Mothercare. I think the deal is on till the 22nd July where you can get the car seat free. Only one pattern is in the deal but we really liked it anyway. I've attached a picture if the pattern we got.

Slumberparty · 17/07/2016 08:31

Perfect thanks Bobcat85 I'll look into it!

Gingernut89 · 17/07/2016 09:06

Hi Latinata,
We have went for the Grey melange and aluminium frame, we weren't going to find out at first so thought grey was the best choice that and doesn't show any dirt up as much! I loved the concept of the bee, that and it fits in the boot of the car, we have a Volkswagen polo and still room left over! The lady in the shop let us try it so that was a bonus! We also have got a recaro privia car seat too, so we are getting the maxi cosi adapters as its the same fitting which my husband worked out as he is a manger that works in Halfords so not limited to car seat choices with it too. My sister had a bugaboo Cameleon and she struggled with lifts and getting through doors! I think the bee will be perfect :) I would recommend the grey if your not sure what you are having :)

Bollyroo · 17/07/2016 11:33

Hey Gingernut, DH and I weren't even in the same ballpark with names a couple of weeks ago but feel like we're getting closer. Still got a while to go though!

So I appear to be growing some very fine light lamb chops! I'm laughing at the moment but it better not get worse. In other news and this may be tmi, we finally did the deed since we conceived. Just haven't felt confident enough or any urge to but it was lovely and right so yay!

smellsofelderberries · 17/07/2016 13:16

Ginger we also went for the grey melange, albeit on the Donkey, not the Bee, but with a black frame and I am picking up a pink seat liner from John Lewis to go with it. Figured in Sydney we're more likely to get use out of a seat liner than a foot muff, as little one is more likely to be sweaty than cold!

Bolly, I'm assuming lamp chops are a typo?! Ha! And congrats on the sex, I think FH and I have only done it 3 times since I ovulated and there no sign of any more any time soon Blush

So tired right now and my throat is feeling a little constricted so should probably go to have my thyroid levels checked. I'm assuming it's just the heat though, and the overwhelming stress of the move. We're at battle stations right now as the removalists arrive on Wednesday and the flat is just a mess. We are leaving a bit and taking most of the stuff, so it all needs sorting into piles so the packers know what they're packing. But we have no boxes to sort stuff into yet! So I have piles of stuff everywhere, and I can not function without order so my brain feels like complete mush. Right, back to it I guess! 😩😩

smellsofelderberries · 17/07/2016 13:17

Not sure who FH is, obviously I mean DH!

Bollyroo · 17/07/2016 13:28

Smells, sadly lamb chops are not a typo! Very fine side burns... Yes! Tres 2016 apparently.

Stripykitten · 17/07/2016 13:35

Gingernut, I totally agree that shopping for prams is harder than shopping for a new car.

We finally got ours yesterday and I can't believe how good it feels. DH and I actually hugged in the car park - oh the relief- when we finished loading the massive box into the car. We went for the Mountain Buggy Cosmopolitan which seemed to fit our needs best. The pushchair converts into a spacious carrycot and it is on sale at Kiddicare for £339 including rain cover and foot muff. See buggypramreviews.co.uk/mountain-buggy-cosmopolitan-review/

Btw, I totally recommend having a look at Kiddicare. It was an hour's drive each way for us but totally worth it as they have a massive showroom where you can play around with pushchairs of all sorts, including brands you don't normally find like the Mountain Buggy, Quinny, Chicco, Maxi Cosi, etc. They don't have the really big ones like iCandy, Bugaboo or Silvercross, but that's ok cos you can find them everywhere else. Oh and have 9 lbs baby dolls you can play with as well to see what it would be like with an actual baby.

We very nearly went for the Cosatto Giggle 2, Bobcat. But I found the buttons a bit stiff and wasn't sure about the patterns... as DH says, I'm no fun. It's a great offer though and it's cool that you get 4-year guarantee with it, so it must be good quality too.

bobcat85 · 17/07/2016 14:07

Haha, yeah to be honest it was the only pattern I liked Stripykitten, didn't really like the other patterns. However the price was good so we went with it.

Went to a nearly new baby sale today and picked up loads of cheap baby clothes. Plus a baby bath for £3 and a changing table for £10. Starting to feel a bit more real now.

Really struggling with the heat at the moment. Not a massive fan of the heat any way but seems to be worse being pregnant
Hope it cools down soon.
