Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies Smile

Thanks Dolly! When I went to hospital on Monday night I was told I was 2 cm dilated despite no contractions, no BH or anything which was a real surprise. Since then I've just felt really nauseous and tired, lost a lost of plug but still no pain as such. I just feel rotten!! Has anyone had anything similar? Surely something tangible will start soon- lol!!

iamdivergent · 15/06/2016 22:50

I was 3-4cm for 3wks with dd2 after being admitted in labour, it all tailed off within about 6hrs. I was on the labour ward, mw were ready for it, regular contractions etc and it just stopped! She had the cheek to wait another 22 days before she arrived very quickly.

Thanks iam, had you lost your plug as well? Due date is Monday- I'm not impatatient for bubs to arrive (or I wasn't anyway!!) but I was just expecting things to be a little more textbook!

lovelilies · 15/06/2016 23:23

Still nothing to report here- BHs up and down, plug (?) coming away in bits, pressure down below and in bum, back ache, tiredness, insomnia, nausea on and off.

Trying not to feel too fed up, due date tomorrow and I've never been this pregnant before, the others were early!

Thanks dolly, this is my first DC and I have heard of people being a few cm dilated without realising but a kindof thought combined with plug etc maybe it meant more. The midwife also said she thought things would happen quickly but no such luck. Fingers x'd for everyone in the same position!!

emma85x · 15/06/2016 23:58

This is my first baby. I had a sweep this morning (due date is tomorrow) and I was 2cm dilated. FX

Eastend2015 · 16/06/2016 00:11

No contractions either Emma? Any plug lost? Fx for us both!

bikingintherain · 16/06/2016 00:14

Things did kick off for us. A quite night last night but lunch time today was starting to feel some contractions but nothing to shout home about. At about 4pm spoke to the mw to say it was definitely happening but not too intense yet.

Spoke again at 5.30 to say it had picked up but still not crazy. She was out anyway so decided to stop by at 6. Examined me to say I was 4cm but very thin cervix so she was going to stay as she thought it might've fast.

Annie Joy born at home at 7pm weighing 7lb 8oz. Everyone is sleeping except me, as I think I have too much going on in my head!

Spock27 · 16/06/2016 00:28

Congratulations biking! What a lovely name Smile hope you're able to get some rest soon, I can understand why you're still awake!

I said on the Facebook group that my waters went at 4am. No contractions despite a day of bouncing on my ball like a mad woman so I'm now in the hospital getting induced. Not had the propess in yet, currently getting a heart trace done. Hopefully baby will be here soon!!

Eastend my plug started coming away on Friday, I think it can happen a couple of weeks in advance even. But that along with the fact that you were a couple of centimetres sounds promising, things are moving in the right direction! Hope things pick up for you soon, it's weird hoping to feel pain isn't it?

Eastend2015 · 16/06/2016 00:33

Congratulations biking! What a lovely name. Thanks Spock and good luck to you! Yes wierd is definitely the word!

jellybelly85 · 16/06/2016 06:57

Dolly yes that bloody clip kept falling off! And it was such an effort to move around and off/on the bed to be in place for different procedures. Quite stressful, but worth it in the end. What have you decided regarding the sweep? Today is my D-Day and if Felix wasn't here already I'd be offered a sweep - not sure if I would've opted for it or tried to be patient.

Biking CONGRATS! Lovely news and a beautiful name. Welcome Annie!

strawberrypenguin · 16/06/2016 07:09

Congratulations biking lovely name. Hope you managed to get some sleep.

Good luck do the induction spock hope it's going ok

ILovePies · 16/06/2016 07:34

Sorry to hear you had such times of it jelly & violet. Congratulations on your beautiful babies Flowers

dolly i went 41+6 with DS too! Probably would have done with this one too if i hadn't pushed to be induced 10 days over instead of 12!
Sorry to hear you're still so undecided about your sweep/vbac/ELCS. Do you have a plan in place if you do into labour naturally? Would you be able to still have your section? The sweep might not do anything as you said it didn't help before, may just give you an idea if you'll go to your section date without going into labour yourself. It's so tough to make such a big decision!

Good luck eastend & emma i was 1-2cm last Thursday and still not had anything. It's so frustrating. Hopefully things start to pick up for you soon.

love sorry to hear things have died off. Hope they start picking up again soon! These babies do like to keep us on our toes!

Wow congratulations biking!! Sounds very fast! Beautiful name for your DD & a lovely weight. Hope you're resting up.

Good luck spock! Been thinking of you, hope things have started for you and you don't have to wait much longer!

1 more sleep here for me! So excited! Definitely won't be able to sleep tonight! Can't wait to have my little baby in my arms! Getting very impatient now!

iamdivergent · 16/06/2016 08:49

My plug didn't go until I was in labour. I think it seen coming away for a week or so, kind of jelly like mush coming away - gross.

More congratulations to everyone! I'm loving reading all these birth stories when I get chance. Violet sorry you've had such a tough time. Hopefully Matthew will keep making good progress. Keep going!

Dolly feeding's still tricky, he seems to either spend hours on one feed, falling asleep and finding it very hard work, or other times it's like he can't get much milk at all and will only keep going for a few minutes before he gives up. It's still so painful for me but weight gain has been good so far so I'm just going to persevere. He's having a gripey day today- not much sleep last night and we haven't made it out of bed yet except for nappy changes for him and tea/toast for me. Currently sitting up in bed with him curled up on my shoulder- the only position at the moment which stops him wailing. Poor little one- he's not having a good morning so far. (me neither!!)

MagicDucky · 16/06/2016 11:24

Congratulations biking!

I'm having a rubbish day, was up at half past three being sick and haven't slept since. Poor DD is having a TV day. Although it's raining so we wouldn't be going out anyway.

Hope everyone with babies are getting on well and all those still waiting aren't getting too impatient. I know I am!

GrubbyWindows · 16/06/2016 17:07

Yay biking , great news! V glad your midwife stuck around!!!
And congrats jelly and violet, you are strong women, getting through some tough births!
Sorry to hear you are having rubbish days mollie and magic. Not long now magic, and it gets easier mollie, honest!
All going very smoothly here, DS is being very demanding, but DP is taking the brunt of that, and I am getting lots of newborn snuggles with DD! Oh and my top tip is don't go and register a birth at 4 days old while your milk is coming in, however much you want a passport sorted. Stay in bed!
Good luck tomorrow pies and for heavens sake get some sleep you are going to need it!!!!!!

lovelilies · 16/06/2016 18:30

Congrats to all the new mummies!

Love reading your birth stories, just can't wait to add my own! Official due date tomorrow, MW offered me a sweep but we're going to try and hang on another week or so if possible, hoping baby comes before that. DP is rooting for Father's Day Hmm

No more signs yet, head 2/5 down whatever that means. Incredible back ache today but that may be down to me carting a toddler slide and little tikes cooker out of the car to the house and jet washing them (£10 bargain on FB!) , then hoovering entire house.

DP on toddler duty tonight so I'm watching TV with heat pad on my back, doing some knitting then having a bath then bed.

Congratulations to all the new mums. Haven't been online for a while. Baby Hugo was born on 11th June via EMCS. Doctors and midwives took good care of me so can't complain despite the emcs. Chuffed to bits and can't believe he is really mine 😍! Good luck to all those waiting, xx

PissPotPourri · 16/06/2016 22:22

Wow, Biking and Tomboy, lovely news. Thinking of those getting to grips with the first tricky days and weeks, and spock and ilove with your inductions.
lovelilies, we share a due date. No symptoms here other than a really bad mood.
How are the BH Iam?

emma85x · 16/06/2016 22:57

Due date was today, 16.6.16 was such a cool EDD but no baby! Positives though... Following on from my sweep yesterday morning I lost my plug this afternoon so hopefully baby is on his way.

jellybelly85 · 17/06/2016 00:20

Thinking of you emma - hopefully baby will arrive swiftly!

Eastend2015 · 17/06/2016 00:52

Congratulations tomboy!

*Pisspot" yup foul mood here too provoked by nausea and inability to sleep last night. Hopefully tonight will be better!

PissPotPourri · 17/06/2016 06:26

That's positive Emma. I'm still really annoyed that some of us get sweeps on due date and others told we have to wait until week 41at least. Ggrrrrr.
Eastend, I slept OK and no nausea so no excuses for my bad mood. Just very touchy! Hope you feel better and get some rest.
Due date for me today, and the birthday of 5 other people I know. A popular day for some reason!
How're others doing? Today's the day ilove!
