Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies Smile

Congratulations to everybody who has had they babies over the past week and half. I'm just catching up with everything. I had Isabella last Monday evening 20 hours after my waters broke and 17 hours in labour.

Oh she is just beautiful! Congratulations.

I just realised I have typos in my post, I meant that I didn't go over the previous births as much as I am now, I guess I never had a serious issue crop up before even though it didn't turn out to be serious. I googled birth afterthoughts I didn't realise that was a service, I'm not in the UK but it looks good. Thanks for the suggestion.

clarish84 · 10/06/2016 12:34

Well the did my sweep so fingers crossed she was very hopeful said I was 1 cm dilated but was a good sweep lol
She has booked me in for induction on the 18th which seems so far away I will be 41+ 5 by then . She wanted it to be as long as possible as she want me to got naturaly.

This little boy need stop being stubborn like his dad and get a move on x

Hope everyone is doing good today x

Eastend2015 · 10/06/2016 12:34

Congratulations everyone on your gorgeous little bundles! 10 days til my due date and no signs of anything here, oh well, at least I'm generally feeling well enough to get out and about Grin

Torfhinn · 10/06/2016 14:11

Congratulations snowflake! Beautiful baby and lovely name Flowers

dollydaydream84 · 10/06/2016 15:04

Congrats snowflake!! Loving all the baby pics!!

Didn't have a sweep as I can't decide whether I want natural labour to be brought on! Midwife said she felt sorry for me as I'm making decisions without all the facts (ie pelvic shape and other reasons why DD didn't descend last time) as no one has those answers. She seemed to think my plan of waiting for a natural labour until 40 weeks but not going overdue and having a c section booked is a good plan. She's lovely wish I could take her to the hospital with me!
Baby is apparently fully engaged which surprised me!

dollydaydream84 · 10/06/2016 15:06

Cartooner I was still re hashing the birth 8 weeks after last time, would have really helped to talk to someone, even now I still have questions which are unanswered and gaps in my memory which I absolutely hate. I didn't even consider it traumatic just frustrating not to know certain things. You sound like you've done amazingly well x

LouLou030783 · 10/06/2016 15:46

Congratulations to everyone hope you and babies are all well

Cartooner · 10/06/2016 15:53

Thanks dollydaydream84, I am going to take my notes to my community midwife for a chat anyway, to begin. It's good to talk it through, I have gaps in memory too, it's all so hazy but I was fairly zonked from pethadine, although I credit it for getting me the last stretch, great stuff.

By the way Dolly, a couple of my babies didn't descend easily so labour stalled mid-way, I had had an epidural then and not sure if that added to the longer wait for the baby to descend. The last baby was side facing and they had to turn him etc. It seems the luck of the draw as I didn't do anything different really and this baby was heavier and perfectly positioned and he flew out no issues or delay. For that reason I think waiting till your due date is a good decision, let it happen in its own time if you can.

dollydaydream84 · 10/06/2016 16:25

Thanks cartooner, I fully dilated last time and pushed and pushed and DD didn't move her head was also sideways but they couldn't move her round. In 6 hours of pushing I didn't actually once get an "urge" to push in the way people describe it. Measurements suggest I might have a better chance this time but I very much agree and think it's the luck of the draw on whether they are in the optimum position! I'm not keen to have a sweep on Thursday but the vbac midwife was so pushy last time I think even letting her examine me runs the risk of getting a sweep whether I want it or not. Definitely taking moral support in this time!

Definitely have a chat to your own midwife, it does help. Helped me a lot going through my notes as well but only did that when I booked in with this baby. I did have an option to talk to the supervisor of midwives but never took it up and should have. Xx

lovelilies · 11/06/2016 08:06

Congratulations on all the new babies! I MUST NOT give birth today- it's DD1's 11th birthday, and I am under strict instructions not to Grin

emma85x · 11/06/2016 11:49

I'd quite like to have my baby today! As a royalist, I'd love him to share a birthday with the Queen!! Grin

bikingintherain · 11/06/2016 12:24

I would like to have the baby today too emma, but more because I am done with being pregnant now! 40+4 today and no signs of anything. All the Braxton hicks have died down, no backache etc.

Spock27 · 11/06/2016 12:49

biking I'm the same, absolutely nothing happening despite my best efforts! Feels like nothing will ever happen Sad

MagicDucky · 11/06/2016 13:23

I'm with you on the tired of being pregnant feeling! Just want this baby now, I'm so sore all the time. Of course my cold isn't making it any better I'm a terrible grump. Grin

iamdivergent · 11/06/2016 14:08

Hello all, may I join? I've been lurking for a few weeks and counting off all the babies as they've arrived. Very exciting but feeling the pain with those of you symptom spotting and whiling away the days...
I'm 39+1 with ds3. Ds1 was a couple of days early, and ds2 was 4 days late. This one feels NOWHERE near ready...I have BH every night on and off and losing plug pretty steadily but I just don't think it's going to happen any time soon. Maybe because I'm not mentally prepared at all for this one!
How are you I am? From what you said yesterday I really thought it could be your turn last night / today.

iamdivergent · 11/06/2016 17:45

Nope just more BH unfortunately! And welcome Grin

Ooh I'm on my third too! Welcome Pisspot!

Ages ago we were having a discussion about clothes, and there were some people who really wanted primary coloured clothes. There's a new range by Jools Oliver at mothercare that is very brightly coloured if anyone's still interested.

laughingGnomette · 11/06/2016 19:41

Thanks biking they are so cute!

Welcome PissPotPourri! I'm feeling the same as you with regards to NOT being mentally ready for another DS!!

PissPotPourri · 11/06/2016 19:46

It's weird isn't it? First DC and you spend so much time preparing yourself for what it might be like based on what others tell you. After that, the emphasis is still on dc1 and keeping them happy, you don't give that much thought to actually preparing yourself for subsequent arrivals. I reckon that's why second children are traditionally more laid back - they just have to fit in!
As for dc3...well, remains to be seen.
Are we mad having more than two biking?
Birth certainly doesn't get less nerve wracking the more you do it...
