Thanks everyone! This is my 10th scan. You'd think I'd be grand at this stage! I have a nervous sick tummy. And a full bladder. This is not a winning combination lol

AyeAmarok · 17/05/2016 11:37

Aww Beezle, I'm sure it will be fine! 10 scans! I'm glad they are taking such good care of you.

Beelzebubble · 17/05/2016 13:19

Everything is perfect! I'm so so happy! SHE is gorgeous :D

smellsofelderberries · 17/05/2016 13:53

Congratulations Beelze!! Did you have an inkling before that she was a she?

Beelzebubble · 17/05/2016 13:56

I was SURE it was a boy. 100% positive

Thurlow · 17/05/2016 13:58

Congrats Beelze Grin

almondbutter · 17/05/2016 14:18

Hooray Beel, how's your girl name list looking?

copper also an emotional wreck over here. Watched a toddler running into her granny's arms on the Heathrow Express platform and my lip was wobbling in seconds.
Came home to find flowers and a card from DH and cheese scones from MIL, so feeling the love. Shame the baby doesn't seem to like cheese scones as much as I do, only kept them down half an hour.

tiredmumrighthere · 17/05/2016 14:27

Ahhh congrats Beelze! A pink one Smile

CakeAndChocolate · 17/05/2016 14:28

That's lovely Beel! I'm so excited to start hearing the gender news!

Beelzebubble · 17/05/2016 14:31

Thanks everyone! The girl name list is strong! Good jon too cos there is not one boy's name we agree on!

coppergrey · 17/05/2016 14:53

Oh amazing news, Beelze! How far along are you? I'm also very excited for everyone's gender news!

almond I'm feeling you on the emotions. Wobbly lips all over the shop.

Is anyone else massively bloated? I'm guessing the huge stomach I'm sporting can't all be baby already (can it? Please god!!) and it's much bigger when I've eaten. Feels really uncomfortable!

tiredmumrighthere · 17/05/2016 14:58

Copper I'm getting the bloating too, I'm huge in the evenings!

Got my maternity jeans on today and my god there comfy! No more walking around with my fly undone Wink

coppergrey · 17/05/2016 15:00

Mine just arrived via ASOS tired - gonna wear them tomorrow! I too have been walking round with my fly undone!

I'm wearing a dress today and the lack of waistband is an absolute JOY. Currently sitting in a cafe cradling what looks like a 5-month pregnant belly but no one knows me here so I'll just go with it! Grin

mrsdane · 17/05/2016 15:32

Wonderful news Beelze, congrats. I wonder what the boy/girl split will be on here?

Copper, I'm wearing a dress today and it's GLORIOUS. Who needs waistbands anyway?!

Beelzebubble · 17/05/2016 15:45

Thanks all! Aparently IVF favours boys. I don't know is that bull or if there's truth in it! I'm so thrilled!!

I'm 15+5 today and she's measuring perfectly :)

I'm very bloated. And fat. And swollen. My wedding ring will have to go soon. My engagement ring is off already. My fingers look like sausages :/

tiredmumrighthere · 17/05/2016 15:46

Copper-let me know how they fit,was looking online for more last night and did pop onto the asos website for a browse, they had some nice light denim ones!

I'm going shopping at the weekend and am going to get a few dresses, nothing fancy just something I can slob about in, plus need a few day dresses, saw some nice ones in new look maternity so I'll go and try a few on x

tiredmumrighthere · 17/05/2016 15:50

Beelze- my brother and sister in law had a son through IVF, there currently going through the process again and hoping for a girl this time (fingers crossed it all works out) so they don't have to have anymore, she finds out of its worked and is pregnant on the 9th of June so it's all going on in my family lol x

Fedupithink · 17/05/2016 15:55

Ahh wow Beelze that's so amazing!

Copper I really have the bloat too. I'm so uncomfortable after lunch time, fly undone and baggy top deployed! I'm desperately trying not to buy any maternity clothes until I get to 20 weeks, still feel a little like this all might not be real.

Looking forward to my scan on Sunday at 15+1, sure I'll be dreading it on the day tho!

needanewjob · 17/05/2016 16:12

Ahh congratulations beelze x

FuzzyOwl · 17/05/2016 16:16

It could well be smells and I think there is a lot to be said for intuition in pregnancy. Glad you are feeling good about things and being able to feel movement is a great way to reassure yourself.

Oh Beezle, wonderful news!

Almond that is rubbish! Luckily all of my babies have loved junk food in pregnancy and now I am struggling to wean DD, I suspect her general dislike for everything is because she had nine months of chocolate!

I didn't think I was looking very big or pregnant but when I collected a prescription earlier, with my 11 month old in the pram, and ticked the maternity exception card box, the woman at the counter smiled at my bulge and said she hadn't liked to assume! Surely the natural assumption is that the card is still valid from the baby with me?!

Yay Beelze fabulous news!

CakeAndChocolate · 17/05/2016 17:32

fuzzy that's a bit risky of her to say that! I would have assumed it was for your DD and if I thought you had a bit of a bump I would also have assumed it was just old baby weight, I certainly wouldn't comment!

I didn't get offered a seat on the tube today, but that could be general London rush hour rudeness rather than lack of bump. I did get semi-quizzed by the girl at work again through so I think she probably does suspect! Ah well, I'll be telling them next week.

DH is planning on telling him mum tonight, which means his whole family will know 5 mins after they get off the phone (or sooner if she texts mid conversation).

Beel that's really interesting about IVF and boys. I have read that male sperm tends to be quicker/stronger to break through the egg but they die more quickly whereas female sperm is slower and takes longer to penetrate the egg but can live longer. I wonder if that has anything to do with it, as obviously sperm and egg are in a different environment during IVF. Apologies for my general musings, I find the whole mechanics of getting pregnant/growing a human fascinating!

FuzzyOwl · 17/05/2016 17:41

My mum would definitely text mid conversation Cake!

Thanks again everyone, you're all so lovely :)

Cakeandchocolate, I find it sooooo fascinating. I wanted to know the science behind every step. That's really interesting. We were meant to have ICSI, which ''washes'' the sperm and only uses the ones with the correct structure and DNA, but on the day, the sample was good enough for regular IVF. I wonder would the two different processes make a difference? Sometimes I wish I knew the genders of the babies I miscarried, just to see if there's a link. We signed a consent for the clinic to use our unused sperm and immature eggs for testing and training purposes. I find it so interesting!

bobcat85 · 17/05/2016 17:43

Great news Beelzebubble.
