fraggle try not to worry about it too much did they say how long it would be until your consultant appointment?

Clank sorry to hear you unwell I would definitely take time off work in those circumstances!! Feel better soon.

anyone decided on when they intend on finishing work yet?

Fraggleface · 01/06/2016 14:11

Thanks Figgy. They said I should expect to get in this week but they haven't called yet.

Clank sorry you're not well, agree best to get checked out?

Fraggleface · 01/06/2016 14:39

Also re going on Mat leave, I'm trying to push it to 1 Sep (week 35) with all holiday used up before that so would actually finish early August. But my work are being such bastards I may go earlier.

Northernlight22 · 01/06/2016 15:11

Clank sorry to hear you aren't feeling great.

I'm hoping to finish at 36+2, 3 weeks hols and then mat leave to start the beginning of the week I'm due.

Gigglebert · 01/06/2016 19:23

I'm due 7th of October, as a teacher I can't take holidays to extend mat leave at the start and I fully expect baby to be late so my aim is 39 weeks (I only work 4 days a week so will have 23 working days after the summer holiday to survive!)- my last day at work will be 29th of September and my first official day of mat leave will be Monday 3rd Oct.

I finished at 35 weeks last time and Freya was two weeks late, I was bored and definitely would have been fine to keep working and then was gutted to not have more time with her at the other end! Plus I reckon work is far easier than looking after a toddler!!

I'm also aware if at any time after 35 weeks I don't feel like I can keep going I just have to let work know that I'm starting my mat leave the following day!

TeaGirl3 · 01/06/2016 20:07

Thanks everyone! Smile we chose not to find out the sex, but I love trying to guess.

Aw hope you feel better soon Clank, sounds awful!

AngharadTheSplendid · 01/06/2016 20:39

Welcome Yorkie! Congrats on your pregnancy especially after ivf and clomid, that must be v hard. Know what you mean about the sickness, mine finally improved at 20 weeks, phew!

Clank that sounds terrible, how are you feeling now?

We had a successful 20 week scan, all looks well. Would start shopping now but tbh I don't have anything to buy (except a double buggy) as it's another girl so don't need anymore clothes etc. Shame as I love to shop!!

Kariana · 02/06/2016 18:45

Clank that sounds awful. I hope you went back if you are still in pain.

Had the 20 week scan and it's a boy! Time to start shopping as this is our first so we're starting from scratch.

EnoughAlready999 · 02/06/2016 21:34

Had my 20 week scan today and it's a girl. I already have a 10 year old DD
so that's nice. I couldn't really imagine having a boy. It was quite funny as she had her legs crossed at the ankles and hands in front of her face as though she was shy! Placenta is anterior so that explains why I haven't felt much movement.

DP is still being unpleasant. I feel like he punishing me for being happy after the scan, on the phone to my mum etc. He keeps moaning about money etc.

Quite upset now and also have abdominal pains.

elliej83 · 02/06/2016 21:51

Evening everyone I've only just found these part of the forum being hanging around the pregnancy area. I'm due in October too so wanted to join the fun :)

LillianFullStop · 02/06/2016 22:44

Welcome ellie!

19+4 today I can't believe I'm halfway!!

elliej83 · 03/06/2016 09:54

Thanks lilian I am 20 weeks today so we are only a few days apart!

Angrybird234 · 03/06/2016 11:15

Hi everyone, just back from hols so am catching up. Glad that on the whole, everyone's scans have gone well. Any news on your referral fraggle?

Hope you're feeling better clank? Sorry to hear your DP is being an arse enough... How are you today? Do you have a plan of action, I mean if this is how he is behaving now, what's he going to be like when DD is born?

plan to finish work start of September but as my sick note covered a period of pre-booked leave I'm going to drop down to 4 days from July. Dreading return to work next week as I have to attend a "welfare" meeting, paranoid I'm going to be managed out but on the other hand am gearing up for battle...

Fraggleface · 03/06/2016 11:46

Welcome back angrybird! I've got my consultant scan on Monday...

Angrybird234 · 03/06/2016 15:22

Keeping everything crossed for good news fraggle x

clank2 · 03/06/2016 20:16

Is anyone else planning a home birth?

I'm hoping my plans aren't scuppered. My blood tests show I'm developing anti e , so they need to keep an eye on that.

I'm frustrated that I still have diaorrhea and stomach cramps that are doubling me up. I'm sad that I can't do anything fun with my son. Bless him, today he came to my midwife app with me which was boring enough as I had to wait an hour, but on the way back I thought I could take him to the park. Well, that was impossible. I had to keep stopping from the pain. I can't even walk 10 metres without being in agony. My son was such a sweetie ' just take little steps mummy, we're nearly home' he's so good. Feel like a rubbish mummy at the moment :( just had a big cry about it. Sorry, really moaning. Feel very sad, a bit scared and frustrated.

Nickname1980 · 03/06/2016 21:55

Oh clank, poor you!

Don't feel like a bad mummy. Just by the sound of your lovely little boy - you clearly aren't because you've raised him so far.

This will pass and you'll be able to do fun things again soon xxx

BadlyWrittenPoem · 04/06/2016 10:39

I'm planning a home birth clank. Smile

I had extended periods of time when I wasn't well enough to do much with my eldest and I think I minded far more about it than she did it. Your son sounds really lovely.

Gigglebert · 04/06/2016 15:52

I'm also planning a home birth Clank, hope you get some relief soon x

Northernlight22 · 05/06/2016 20:11

I've been so grumpy this week - the heat has been unbearable (I'm not a sun lover at the best of times!)

All rather uneventful at the mo (yey). I've got my matb1 form now which made things feel very real! Have had a few flutters but nothing major, think having an anterior placenta is cushioning a lot x

Fraggleface · 06/06/2016 17:30

Had my consultant scan today and she confirmed that everything with baby's heart looks normal. We're relieved and v happy. Hope everyone else is doing well Smile

LillianFullStop · 06/06/2016 17:43

Good to hear about the happy scan fraggle Smile

clank I hope things are on the up for you now.

northern my patience is very thin these days so feel sorry for DH as he gets the brunt of it I'm afraid!

Anyone else due for their 20w scans this week? Mine is on Friday! Bump is starting to expand rapidly and I've graduated to maternity jeans - will start telling colleagues this week now as it's harder to hide especially with the warm weather!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 06/06/2016 18:13

Great news Fraggle!

My scan is Wednesday afternoon - I'm very nervous now, though I am feeling some faint movements which is slightly reassuring.

Clank hope you're feeling better now. Hope everyone is doing well.

Blueskygirl30 · 07/06/2016 09:05

Good luck to everyone with scans this week.

Clank I hope you're feeling better!

I hope everyone is doing well too!

I'm quite enjoying the nice weather, I'm guessing the bigger I get the less I'll enjoy it though!

I'm going to a hen do this weekend, I don't know how I'm going to manage 2 nights out!

Figgygal · 07/06/2016 13:31

Lillian how are you able to hide it from people still? I am immense at 23 weeks and not been able to hide it for weeks. Had follow up scan Friday and all good and the baby looks so cute am even starting to feel light kicking in evenings so definitely starting to feel more bonded to the pregnancy.

I'm really struggling in the heat I couldn't sleep last night even ds wandered in at 4.45 thinking it was up time I think he was hot too.
