Checking in, I'm allegedly 12+6 based on LMP but I was having 32 day cycles so I'm more like 12+2. I tried to explain this at my midwife appointment but it was like 'computer says no' and my due date was confirmed on my file based on LMP, most frustrating. My scan didn't match either date so it's all a bit mind boggling.

Had blood taken today for harmony test. I'm living half way around the world but the blood will be sent to the UK for the test. The wonders of modern medicine!

Nausea has pretty much gone but exhausted and just want to eat junk food. I'm going to be the size of a canal barge the way I'm going.

Still not shared news with family due to the bleeding on my scan. Feeling quite guilty but my mum would only stress about it and there's nothing we can do but wait and see what happens.

positivity I'm feeling 'flutters' too but every time it turns out to be gas Blush

FuzzyOwl · 11/04/2016 17:16

Hello Tall. I am sure it wasn't that long ago that I read harmony tests here were sent to USA so clearly we are progressing in the UK.

I have been having a popping sensation for a while. In my last pregnancy I was certain it was the baby and it is the exact same sensation I am feeling now, having never felt it unless pregnant, but I have now accepted it has to be gas or else this baby is a real martial arts expert already as it started much too early.

Tallblue · 11/04/2016 18:06

Fuzzy maybe we both really do have martial arts experts in there!

The Harmony testing will be carried out at a lab in London. Strange to think my blood is probably mid-air on the way there by now.

I'm lying in a darkened room with a throbbing headache and trying to avoid cracking open the panadol. Grim....

FuzzyOwl · 11/04/2016 18:13

Always possible Tall. I am tucked up in my bed with a throbbing headache so sending lots of sympathy your way. I bought some 4head today in the hope it would do something and a big bar of chocolate but still feel very sore.

Checking in to the new thread - 12w today and scan booked for Friday!

athousandsplendidsuns · 11/04/2016 19:25

Potential exposure to slap cheek today, off for yet another blood test tomorrow to check I'm immune......

BadlyWrittenPoem · 11/04/2016 19:31

Thousand my children had I

BadlyWrittenPoem · 11/04/2016 19:33

Thousand, my children had it during my last pregnancy. Thankfully I was immune. The main reason it isn't one of those things that practically everyone has had (like chicken pox for example) is that it is less infectious so even if you're not immune the chances of catching it are relatively low.

evs34 · 11/04/2016 19:44

My nifty went to Hong Kong! It is a bit crazy really.

Afreshstartplease · 11/04/2016 19:55

Ah yes bigpig it was me who coughed, heaved and nearly pissed myself on a train. Thankfully it was only once.

12+5 today

Have ordered some maternity bits and awaiting delivery.

I have booked a gender scan for when I'll be 16+3! £50 nearest place so not bad! Used them last time and was happy with experience although seeing baby on that big a TV was a little scary!

athousandsplendidsuns · 11/04/2016 19:56

Thanks badly, it wasn't long exposure and the mum said that the walk in centre said it might be an ear infection instead. Fingers crossed. Also hope the nurse can get blood as it took 4 people at my scan and the midwife at booking had to send me to the hospital too!

BadlyWrittenPoem · 11/04/2016 20:14

We'd spent two hours in the waiting room at the hospital antenatal clinic when they were infectious (by the time the cheeks come up they're not infectious) due to the clinic running very late and when I phoned the hospital to tell them that other people at the clinic would have been exposed they were not concerned at all.

climbingcheesecake · 11/04/2016 20:25

Thanks for the link to that article Giggle. I guess I don't need to worry too much at the moment..
I am having nipple issues! Everytime they get cold, they hurt so much, and its usually when I'm outside so I have to walk along hugging my chest.

I thought pregnancy was supposed to be beautiful. It's just one gross thing after the next.

Northernlight22 · 11/04/2016 21:33

Definitely with you on the nipples!! I hate getting cold now as they are so painful!

Figgygal · 11/04/2016 21:40

God yes nipple pain is PAIN!!!

SimileMilly · 11/04/2016 23:44

Checking in @ 15+3 (almost!)

Can't sleep. Start pregnancy yoga tomorrow and gender scan on Sunday. This pregnancy seems to be flying by compared with DD although my stress levels are at least triple this time round!

FuzzyOwl · 11/04/2016 23:56

Is it Raynauld's Climbing? Try to keep your bra padded for extra warmth and so that any temperature changes are gradual (I suffer all the time with my hands and feet and it is horrid).

Afreshstartplease · 12/04/2016 06:50

Awful nights sleep. Dd very unsettled. Me worrying about something at work. Think I've had about three hours.

Morning sickness still happening too.

12+6

TheCake · 12/04/2016 07:29

Thread 4 already! Can't believe how quickly this is going now. At 16+3 today and starting to feel more normal so going to try and make the most of this bit before it starts getting hard again...

Hi to everyone and hoping things are ok with you Paige

BlueberryMuffin85 · 12/04/2016 08:22

After lurking for a while I would like to join Smile I am 13 weeks today DD 18th Oct baby #1. Had my 12week scan on Friday and it was sheer relief to see baby ok and heart beating! Now I'm already wishing away the weeks for the next scan!
Had my bloods taken on Friday for combined test and hoping I don't hear anything in the next few days. Generally been lucky with my symptoms just the tiredness is intense and I'm not sleeping well. Also spending most of my day weeing! I am pretty obsessed with staying hydrated and feel like I spend half my work day walking back and forth to the loo! Average getting up 3 times a night to wee too it's such an effort pulling myself out of bed can't imagine what it is going to be like when I get bigger!
Hope everyone is ok today x

Figgygal · 12/04/2016 09:24

Welcome blueberry

15 wks today and I'm now 5lbs up how much has everyone put on? I put on 3 stone last time I don't want that again 5 years older doubt will fall off as easily

Tallblue · 12/04/2016 09:48

Hi blueberry we have the same due date- mine was originally 22nd but changed after first scan to 18th October.
figgy I don't know how much weight I've gained but I just saw myself sideways in a mirrored lift and got the shock of my life. I'm a 14-16 anyway so quite curvy, but I now look so much bigger. I look the same way I looked in first pregnancy at 6 months. Eeeek.

FuzzyOwl · 12/04/2016 10:04

Welcome Blueberry.

How are things Paige?

Hope everyone is doing ok today.

Hi Smile had my first scan yesterday, I was a nervous wreck! I thought I would cry when I saw him/her but was just so shocked there was an actual baby in there that I didn't, haha! Baby was a lazy lump, I was tipped around on the bed, had to empty my bladder by half (how the hell do you know what half is?!) and had my tummy shook by the sonographer, it just bobbed around, moving its arms and legs, lol. Had the NT test done too, bloods are being sent off but measurement 1.3mm which from reading on here I assume is ok? So glad everything seems to be going ok, it's such a relief. Due 12th October
