Fresh when I was scanned by a consultant I had the whole consultant appointment all in one go in the same room but it probably depends on the reason for it.

Afreshstartplease · 11/05/2016 12:42

I've had two LGA babies and I'm only 5'1 and a size 8, my babies have got a good few oz bigger with each one and all born by due date so think they are concerned it'll get stuck

Figgygal · 11/05/2016 13:12

19 weeks + 1 day, up 11lbs scan tomorrow and am bricking it that something is wrong. Roll on Friday when DS and I are off for the weekend with my mum and 4 yo niece.

still resisted buying anything but first things will be Next sleepsuits!!

Afreshstartplease · 11/05/2016 14:30

Always next sleep suits online in sale section, more in first size which is up to 10lb and a few in 0-3 usually. They are half price so about £8 for three.

FuzzyOwl · 11/05/2016 15:47

I had to have two 20 week scans last time because my baby was in an awkward position. The first one was about half an hour and the second one was twenty mins.

Hi everyone I'm due on 10/10/16. Can someone explain nub theory to me. My 20 week scan is on 24/5/16 and I'm so impatient

FuzzyOwl · 11/05/2016 17:41

Hi mummy. It is said that if the angle of the nub is 0-30 degrees, the baby is a girl and higher is a boy.

pod100 · 11/05/2016 19:32

Had my 16 week check today and all good. It's little heartbeat was chugging away! 😊 I thought I felt a kick last night, but I know I definitely felt two this afternoon. The first made me jump!

We also bought all the big stuff last night as there was a discount evening on. Ordered the pram, nursery furniture set, car seat and base. Exciting!

Afreshstartplease · 11/05/2016 20:15

I'm in so much discomfort tonight with pgp/spd. It's horrible.

I'm just 17 weeks and I can't get into a position which is comfortable at all. God knows what I'll be like by 27 weeks!

I haven't even done anything particularly strenuous today that I can think might have aggravated it.

Waiting on an appointment for physio but think I need to see gp for some decent pain killers already as physio could take weeks

I know all the tricks of keeping your legs together, don't do X y z already and I'm generally pretty good at following the rules!

Sorry for the moan Sad

Afreshstartplease · 11/05/2016 20:16

What pram did you get pod? I like pram talk it might cheer me up

Kariana · 11/05/2016 20:52

Thank you for all the info on scan length, sounds like I will have to let my employer know I won't be back in work after the appointment.

On another note the roads I drive to and from work are very bumpy country roads and I always worry they will do damage to the baby. Today I was driving to work and suddenly felt a jab in my tummy - baby was obviously giving its opinion on the bumps! Goodness knows what it will be like when it can give me a proper kicking!

pod100 · 11/05/2016 21:21

I went for the silver cross pioneer. We got it for £565 instead of £695 so chuffed with the bargain! Got it in black but we can always change the colour pack later if we decide

Northernlight22 · 12/05/2016 11:11

Oooh that's the pram we're going for pod, waiting for my 20 week scan to order it though

Figgygal · 12/05/2016 13:45

Just back from 20 week scan and I'm officially a boy breeder

Need another scan in 3-4 weeks as there was one measurement they couldn't get but we all definitely spotted boy bits!!

I wanted another boy but there's a small part of me that is a bit sad over not having a daughter am sure it'll be fleeting. I Find girls names so much easier than boys names.

Loft full of boys clothes, toys will come in handy.

LisaTheGreek · 12/05/2016 13:53

Congrats on the baby boy, Figgy, that's lovely news! Glad you got to see all the 'bits'! Grin

Quick question - are the 20-week scans when we get our MatB1 forms filled in as well? If not, how do we get those sorted? Thanks

clank2 · 12/05/2016 14:00

I'm feeling pretty fed up tbh. Symptoms all eased off, but I am in so much pain. Irritable uterus, I feel like I'm in early labour no joke, it's so painful. Terrible back ache and sciatica. I'm so worried about keeping working. Honestly just in despair right now. Baby is lovely and wriggly, and that's great, but all I've wanted to do this morning is cry.

Alice1209 · 12/05/2016 14:16

LisatheGreek I am getting the form at my next MW appointment on 27th of June! Cutting it fine!

Afreshstartplease · 12/05/2016 14:31

I think mat b1 are now given out after 25 weeks, people I know have phoned midwife and requested it then you don't need an appointment I don't think!

We saw all the boy bits at our 16 week scan too!

I think I'll get a cosatto pram but I'm waiting for the new fabrics to be announced

bringonthrsummer · 12/05/2016 14:36

We saw girly bits at a private 16 week scan Grin really wanted another girl so I'm super happy!

I already have a Stokke xplory which I absolutely adore so I've just bought the izi sleep car seat and matching Carry cot to go with it!!! Smile

BadlyWrittenPoem · 12/05/2016 15:45

I'm glad somebody has mentioned MATB1s. I must order my maternity allowance form so that I'm ready as soon as I have the MATB1. (I'm self employed.)

Northernlight22 · 12/05/2016 15:51

I've got a midwife appt at 21 weeks and she said that's when I'd get my matb1 form.

Congrats figgy :)

Kariana · 12/05/2016 17:45

Congratulations figgy!

I get my MATB1 at my 21 week appointment too.

Not bought anything yet, still trying to hold back on looking until after 20 week scan!
