Hope all goes well at your appointment Afreshstart, I'm sure it will. I'm having to wait till 16+6 for mine due to the bank holiday. Easter already messed up my booking appointment and supposed 12 week scan (13+5 in the end), I just hit the wrong time of year!

Anyone else getting horrible restless legs at night? I am and trying to walk in the day to help but that causes horrendous and scary stomach pain/cramps. Stuck until I can start swimming next week!

Nickname1980 · 29/04/2016 08:47

Thank you ditsygal! Yes I think I am now conivinced to get a bit of private physio. I really didn't want to spend the money but I don't have another midwife appointment (to as for a referal) for weeks and definitely don't want it to get worse!

I'm glad yours has gotten better. Fingers crossed you manage to keep off crutches this time!

I totally feel for you, Schnitzel, I had the worst nausea and headache on Sunday and my husband was working all day. My toddler isn't difficult, but I found the day really tough and was in a rotten mood by the time husband got home at 9pm!! Have you tried 4Head? It helps me. I hope the day isn't too bad... If you've got a garden, some fresh air might help too!

Nickname1980 · 29/04/2016 08:48

Whoops I just realised that your post was yesterday, schnitzel. Well hope it wasn't a bad day then, in that case!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 29/04/2016 09:54

Nickname it didn't turn out too bad I'm the end - bit difficult to get DS to sleep due to the hail and wind, but not too bad. Ending up spending most of the night in bed with him though - I think the wind scares him.

And so far I'm not feeling sick today, and I'm working from home, so I can spend the day on the sofa.

I'm supposed to see the midwife at 16 weeks, but as she's only at the surgery on Friday mornings, and I have work commitments on those Friday's, I won't be able to see her until I'm 18+3. That should still be ok, shouldn't it? I haven't been able to get through to speak to her.

Gigglebert · 29/04/2016 12:27

Schnitzel my 16 week appointment wasn't very due to be exciting, reviewed blood results from booking, checked urine, confirmed I had a 20 week scan appointment through from hospital and then tried to get the heartbeat(though apparently policy in our region is that they shouldn't try until 20 weeks)- midwife couldn't find it so I got sent straight to hospital for an emergency scan! Sure it wouldn't be an issue to have it a few weeks later!

Nickname unsure where you are but I got paperwork for self referral to physio at my booking appointment. Maybe if you have your midwife team a call they could start the ball rolling on a referral now? I know that I need to go to a group class in he first instance and then they do 5 minute consults at the end for anyone who feels they need more help and can then make appointments from there

BadlyWrittenPoem · 29/04/2016 13:38

I asked on a local mum group if anyone had had successful treatment for SPD/PGP through the NHS and the answer was a unanimous no but I did get recommendations of private physios/osteopaths who have helped which will be handy as there's nothing that local on the pelvic partnership list of recommended practitioners.

Figgygal · 29/04/2016 14:34

I bloody have thrush again is it common for it to follow a UTI and antibiotics? Same happened at 8 weeks, I literally feel like my "downstairs" is on fire Blush.

Gigglebert · 29/04/2016 14:40

figgy I get thrush whenever I have antibiotics, apparently they distrupt the helpful bacteria in your body that normally fight infections... Hopefully you can get something to treat it quickly! I had it last pregnancy and had a nightmare getting anything as pharmacy refused to give me anything without a prescription as I was pregnant! My midwife this time said it if happens I've to call and she can sort out for a prescription to go to a local pharmacy!

FuzzyOwl · 29/04/2016 14:56

I'm another one who gets thrush after antibiotics. My doctor used to prescribe me treatment for it as the same time as giving me the antibiotics because it was so predictable. Really hope it all clears up for you soon figgy.

Thanks ladies I got some canesten from dr after last time so just going to keep using it. So fed up

FuzzyOwl · 29/04/2016 15:38

Hope it isn't long before it goes Figgy and if you need antibiotics again, I would consider starting canesten from the last day of your treatment as a precaution/assumption.

Hi ladies,
I'm due 16th Oct - been lurking a bit. Having really crap lower back pain but not sure (even after obsessive googling) what the difference is between normal / expected back pain and spd?

Definitely worse after lying down - only way I can describe it is that it feels like the bits of my lower back are out of place when I stand up? Everything feels like it doesn't fit.

Midwife on Thurs so maybe time to ask.

Blueskygirl30 · 29/04/2016 20:29

Hi ladies,

I've been AWOL for several weeks but thought I'd catch up and see what you guys are up to. If anyone is interested, Toys R Us are doing an offer until Monday, £20 off when you spend £100. I'm only 17 weeks today but have just splashed out on a Chicco Next 2 Me from Toys R Us on their offer to celebrate hearing the heartbeat at my midwife appointment yesterday.

Figgy I get thrush after antibiotics too, I feel like I might have a UTI on the way, I'll see how I am over the bank holiday weekend. Using canesten as a precaution like Fuzzy said sounds like a very good plan.

Anyone else having nightly indigestion? Any remedies??

FuzzyOwl · 29/04/2016 21:29

Definitely chat to your midwife Jub as you might be able to be referred to physio.

Thanks for the suggestion Bluesky and I planned to go there tomorrow anyway, so will definitely make sure I do now. I am taking Rennies all the time now which help for a short amount of time.

TeaGirl3 · 30/04/2016 07:51

Morning ladies, I've also been AWOL for a while due to work, so it's lovely to catch up on how everyone is doing. Hope all those in pain feel better soon! Got my 16 wk appointment on Tuesday, which is exciting. Hoped my nausea would have gone by now but it's still lingering! I love trying to guess what we're having and change my mind everyday - would anyone like to guess?

Afreshstartplease · 30/04/2016 09:02

Tea I think that's a boy!

Kariana · 30/04/2016 11:08

Tea I think it's a boy too.

Fraggleface · 30/04/2016 12:34

Tea I think boy too.
Any thoughts on mine? I can't wait to find out at 20 week scan - 3 weeks to go.

Afreshstartplease · 30/04/2016 12:40

Boy fraggle

FuzzyOwl · 30/04/2016 18:00

Tea and Fraggle, I think both are girls. Although I think mine is a girl as well, so maybe I just see a baby and think girl!

Hope your midwife listens on Thursday Jub.

Kariana · 30/04/2016 22:01
