Thank you disney and pig! Unfortunately, I work for myself and have a lot of large items to carry around and post with no one else to do it. Maybe I need to think of getting one of those old lady trollies or something!!

Good tips on physio, I'd definitely like to get this sorted out soon in case it gets worse.

I have a personal trainer (though he keeps everything very light for me) - when you say impact exercise, what sort of thing should I avoid? Do you mean stuff like boxing? (Which we do a little of.) I don't do the exercise to stay trim, it just lifts my mood no end. I'd miss it so much if I stopped!

(I also do yoga twice a week, again, to lift my mood!!)

BigPigLittlePig · 27/04/2016 14:57

I found that anything that caused an impact hurt, so cycling and walks were a no-no. Swimming was good, and if you can find a really warm pool all the better. Yoga should help with core stability which can help. I found that turning over in bed and getting out the car were awful - a carrier bag on the car seat helps you spin round. Keep your legs together when changing posture!

DisneyDiva87 · 27/04/2016 15:10

What Big said! Think of impact as anything that would make baby bounce off your pelvic floors, like running, cycling, jumping. That will add more stress to your pelvis, yoga will be good. I do a yoga/Pilates/tai chi class (all through my last pregnancy too) and had some bleeding after over doing the abdominal exercises last week but midwife said to carry on but take it easier next time as it will be good for my core and subsequently labour.

It is definitely worth getting something that would make moving stuff around easier for you, or if you are able to save it up and get a helper in (friend, partner, friendly postman) to do it for you. Moving things will only get harder as your pregnancy progresses so best to find some alternative/solution now.

Like Big I also found getting out of the car and turning in bed the worst and I only had a teeny bit of pgp, I had forgotten the tip about keeping your legs together, that does help, I suppose it reduces the strain on the pubic symphysis.

Afreshstartplease · 27/04/2016 18:16

I have spd/pgp

It's getting worse constantly I'm going to get refered next week when I see mw

I had it in last two pregnancies too. Mildly with DC2 but then during his birth my right leg was pushed and held back. Funnily enough this was the first and worst bit to hurt with both pregnancy 3 and 4. I am now completely blaming that mw for my waddle!

I'm intrigued as well by people mentioning feeling their uterus. I have no idea how big mine is or where to feel it - any tips? Possibly it's hidden in my enormous bloated stomach and I've no chance but it would be nice to feel how big it is if possible.

BigPigLittlePig · 27/04/2016 19:31

I only know due to my job & background. Bt essentially, if you lie flat and feel for the very top of your pubic bone, above that your tummy would normally be all squishy and soft. By 20 weeks, you should be able to tell that the area up to your belly button is firm, and may be able to feel a firm ridge at the level of your belly button, which is the top of your uterus. At 16 weeks, that ridge should be halfway between the bone and belly button. It maybe harder to tell at this point if you are naturally bigger, but will get easier as the baby/uterus grows.

Afreshstartplease · 27/04/2016 20:00

Mine is Already at my belly button

Unsure if this is because it's baby four or because I'm so small

naomijd19 · 27/04/2016 21:58

Had a little stalk through your conversation and I like you all already!

And for the record.. Wipes all the way for me.. Did cotton wool for about a week with DS- drove me insane!

Afreshstartplease · 27/04/2016 22:23

Great result Naomi!

Welcome Sophie!

Really tired today and heart burn is awful, to the point it's making me notice the spd/pgp less lol

I need shares in Rennie's and gaviscon

naomijd19 · 27/04/2016 22:40

Sophie we have the same due date Wink

IrisPurple1 · 28/04/2016 07:13

That's a great result Naomi really pleased.

Welcome Sophie

I'm really glad now that my news ended up spread round the office - I'm now benefitting from lots of advice and offers of barely used secondhand baby gear Grin

LillianFullStop · 28/04/2016 07:50

fresh mine also feels like it's already up to the belly button but I'm tiny at 4'11!! I'm 14+4

SophieVictoria1213 · 28/04/2016 10:47

Wow Naomi, due date buddies!
Great screening result too, I'm still waiting for mine.

Figgy I'm with you on the choc biscuits, I'm scoffing one as we speak. Have to cram all my food in early in in the day as still getting nauseous after about 3pm.
Anybody else still feeling rotten?
If not, when did your symptoms wear off? Can't wait to feel human again!

Wheels1986 · 28/04/2016 11:39

Hi ladies waves

I'm 14+1 today and due October 26th. Baby number 2 for us Smile

Hope everyone is doing well x

fish88 · 28/04/2016 12:37

sophie I was still throwing up during week 15 but seemed to turn a corner around 16+3. At 17+1 now and no nausea now unless I let myself get really hungry.

Alwaysinahurrynow · 28/04/2016 12:55

Mmmm chocolate digestives - managed five in a row yesterday 😳

ditsygal · 28/04/2016 14:39

Nickname I have had pgp since 14 weeks this time. It didn't come until 26 weeks last time but I quickly ended up on crutches so wanted to avoid that this time. A physio worked wonders on me in the end last time, so I've started physio already and now at 17.5 weeks I am better then I was at 14 and definitely getting no worse at the moment so it is so worth getting a private physio or osteo if you can afford it who can do manual manipulation as well as teaching exercises

positivity123 · 28/04/2016 14:54

Is anyone feeling anything yet? I'm 16+1 and think I just had my first movement. Felt like a goldfish flapping out of water on the right hand side of my tummy?

Kariana · 28/04/2016 17:26

I was sure I had replied yesterday BigPigLittlePig but either the internet are my reply or baby brain means I posted in some random other thread. Thank you for the instructions. I tried to feel for my uterus last night, I'm naturally very small and slim so thought it might work. I think I felt it but pressing even lightly caused me to have mild cramps so I decided to stop!

Exciting news Positivity! I am 15+2 and was convinced the bubbly feeling I had earlier today was baby moving. Of course it might just have been gas but it was the first time it has happened and instinct tells me it was baby so I'm going with it!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 28/04/2016 19:04

After thinking I was passed the sickness I've just thrown up again. And now I feel absolutely dreadful, and have a stinking headache. And to top it off DH is going out so I'm going to have to deal with bed time on my own, which is never easy. Sorry for the self-pity, hoping everyone else is well.

Northernlight22 · 28/04/2016 21:45

16 week check all ok - found the heartbeat really quickly so that was good for my anxiety!

Afreshstartplease · 28/04/2016 21:49

15+1 here

5 sleeps til 16 week app and hopefully hear a heartbeat !

Feeling much better in myself, just killer heartburn and bad leg
