We're handholding for the newly graduated viroids and handing out hooyahs to badly behaved miroids. Between womble pains and boobs with veins, some of us are still managing to shag! It's JS Grads 47!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 47th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 46th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 60th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

corgi88 · 19/04/2016 19:38

oh cats I am so sorry to read your rubbish news. I hope you are doing OK. Flowers chat I may tag along to this mc board/group too. tried to go back to work yesterday but didn't go too well - ended up in hysterical tears in loos 4 hours into shift...whoops. another week off I feel...

lildottie · 19/04/2016 21:41

So sorry cats be kind to yourself. Hopefully the recurrent mc clinic cab give you some answers. It may be worth knowing that when I had my mc there was a study called TABLET being done investigating anti thyroid antibodies link to mc. It was just a blood test to see if you had the anti bodies and if you did you could go in for the trial. Obv could get placebo but it might be worth thinking about ID it's being done in your area.

corgi sorry you're not doing so well. Definitely take more time for yourself if you aren't ready.

CarrotPuff · 19/04/2016 22:40

Oh cats I'm so sorry Thanks

Catscatsandmorecats · 20/04/2016 07:02

Thank you Viriods for the words of comfort.

Chat I think I may well head over to the recurring mc board.

Lil thank you for the heads up on tablet, I will ask when I am in next week.

Corgi I'm sorry you had a horrible day, take all the time you need.

I have been offered a procedure called an MVA instead of a full D&C or medical management. It sounds like a good option, no general anaesthetic and they will definitely get some samples to test to start the investigations into my recurrent miscarriages. But it also sounds pretty horrific and I am not entirely sure I want to put myself through it. It also doesn't negate the cramping and bleeding. Does anyone have any experience of it?

Canters15 · 20/04/2016 08:23

I've never heard of MVA cats. What are the advantages of it? Just that you don't need GA?

Corgi Flowers

lildottie · 20/04/2016 18:13

cats I've not heard of it or been through anything similar as I mc naturally at 5weeks, but fwiw I think it depends on your attitude ATM to going forward vs what you need now. I was one of those who must get back on the horse immediately so to speak, and in your situation the guarantee of having samples would be a big draw for me as I am the kind of person who finds comfort in information, regardless of what that information is. But you have to weigh that up with your current emotional needs. If you aren't strong enough to deal with tests, or not having GA, then do what's best for you in the here and now.

Started metformin tonight and feeling a little relieved as I was feeling more and more restricted as numbers were creeping up. Also off to first NCT class tonight. Dh is nervous bless him, he doesn't do groups!

Catscatsandmorecats · 20/04/2016 19:36

Thanks Lil and Canters, I definitely want them to get samples, they can do that with the MVA or a D&C. The advantage of the MVA is it is done in RMC by the lead doctor with just painkiller pessaries and a local anaesthetic to the cervix, they basically go in and get the pregnancy tissue and that kicks off the bleeding. You can go home half an hour after and even drive. But, they have said it is extremely painful and I know from my previous MCs it takes my two cycles to get rid of everything so on that account a D&C would be better. I just don't know. I've been having some cramps today so maybe it'll happen naturally before next week and I won't have to make that decision.

Enjoy your first class Lil, DH and I were very naive when we went before DS and came out a bit shell shocked Shock

ChatEnOeuf · 20/04/2016 19:57

Think MVA is US guided as well, so they can see when to stop. Otherwise, it's much the same as an evac without the GA. Not for me and my wonky womble, we've gone au naturel whenever possible - just the ?partial mole that got the surgical treatment.

You'd both be more than welcome in the RMC group. Sorry you're still feeling fragile, Corgi. Definitely, take all the time you need before hurling yourself back onto the front line. For me, getting back to the madness of the unit was most therapeutic - sitting at home was making me despondent and costing us money (one and a half holidays and a new car...).

Mermaid36 · 21/04/2016 08:49

Hope everyone is doing ok Flowers

I was discharged yesterday and am now free to spend my time on NICU instead of having to go back onto the ward for obs/meds etc.

KateBeckett · 21/04/2016 11:22

Sorry to hear your news cats I hope you get some answers soon Flowers

It's been a busy week here! Had growth scan last Thursday, we are currently on 10th centile with another scan next week to check that he stays on the line. Was 50th centile at 20w scan but no one mentioned that so I am assuming it's not necessarily a problem...

Then spent over 2 hours being monitored on Sunday. We went in as I have reduced movements, then had to stay and wait for a consultant to come and check as baby's hr was dipping. Consultant said all okay though, which always a relief after being strapped to a machine for ages!

mer glad you can spend more time with the girls, you are doing fantastically! Star Brew

feathered how are things now? Will you have any more monitoring of baby's position before due date?

Peenut · 21/04/2016 13:08

Sorry fallen off the thread a bit the last few days after a trip back home to see family.

Oh dear, so so sorry Cats. That is horrible news to deal with and hope you are doing OK, the same to Corgi and Chat. Fingers crossed for answers and happy outcomes at some point soon.

Glad to hear you are officially discharged Mer. How are the two teeny tinkers doing? What a whirlwind you must still be in.

Goodness Kate, glad to hear all is OK after a scary monitoring session. Best to get checked out and good your growth results are looking healthy.

I still feel like the movements are akin to a giant flump marshmallow rolling around with the occasional 'doof' sort of feeling in my sides, but really quiet for large portions of the day.

Just had a midwife session and heart beat sounded like a rave was happening ... 150 bpm! (Have already googled this to look at gender theories, girl?!) Midwife said as long as I can feel movements it's normal. I suppose I'm just worried as I have nothing to compare what I am feeling to to know what is 'normal'.

Glad I swapped doctors as was a MUCH better experience today. Midwife and her student actually read my notes before waving bits of paper at me and asking why I was there. She even gave me a large pot with a pouring spout to dispense wee into one of those impossible to wee in tubes. This alone made me happy.

Get snacks in your hospital bag Feathered! Picnic anyone? Hope the baby is in a more suitable position for entering the world, perhaps baby is just limbering up having a final spin before business begins!

CarrotPuff · 21/04/2016 13:28

For those not on FB pickle has done a girlbee on Monday!

SockQueen · 21/04/2016 14:42

Glad you've been discharged Mer, hope the girls are doing ok? Make sure you still allow time to look after yourself - you've been discharged from hospital but your body still has plenty of recuperation to do!

Congratulations to pickle!

I'm off today, but back on nights again tomorrow. Being very domesticated with lots of batch cooking and cleaning. I might even mow the lawn later (first time this year!)

Carrot or anyone else in the know, any chance I could be added to the FB group? If I'm allowed, could someone PM me?

CarrotPuff · 21/04/2016 15:01

Sock I'm not sure who can, I could try if you pm me you email address that you're registered with on FB?

lildottie · 21/04/2016 17:41

Damn hormones. Just got home to find Plasterer had arrived early and was having a go at dh about the work he has been sent to do in the kitchen which is a result of homebase cocking up our kitchen plan. I tried being rational and calm but he was awful to me, and in my own house! I left dh there and came to my mum's in tears and now my mum has gone over to sort the nasty git out. Agggghhhhh don't need this shit!

fruitlovingmonkey · 21/04/2016 17:52

Glad you got discharged Mermaid, how are the babies doing?
I'm officially top of the list now, eek! What have you been cooking Sock? I can't think of anything to batch cook. Doesn't help that we only have a small freezer so whatever I make would have to fit into one drawer.
Hope your next growth scan goes well Kate. Minifruit has gone from the average line to the small side in the later stages of pregnancy but my doctor doesn't think it's anything to worry about.
Feathered I was disheartened with the epi-no at first but then I started doing breathing exercises whilst using it which made a massive difference. I was consistently gaining 0.5cms each day but that has slowed down a little now. Going to aim for 8cms tonight, the head is measuring 9cms so not far off!
Must finish packing the hospital bag tonight. I don't actually need to take that much as they provide everything over here so should focus on snacks and comforts.
Love to Chat, Corgi and Cats if you're still reading. Take it easy on yourselves.

SockQueen · 21/04/2016 21:00

Nothing very exciting fruit, just beef stew and bolognese sauce. I still haven't fully mastered the slow cooker - keep having too much liquid and/or not enough flavour.

Mermaid36 · 21/04/2016 21:05

Our little lovelies are doing ok - they are stable and making good progress. We've got a long way to go, but the staff here are fantastic.
We're staying in the onsite hotel/accommodation, so I'm trying to get DH out of the unit more. Sent him to the shop today, plus we went back to the room for a nap today. Progress!

FeatheredTail · 21/04/2016 21:06

Fruit that's brilliant epi-work! I'm now up to 6cm. Boy did I feel it! How long do you spend on each session? I find it quite hard to keep in for more than a couple of minutes, let alone 10! I do need to put more effort in, I know. Will try again tomorrow and aim for 10 minutes with my 'golden thread' yoga breathing.

Kate going in for monitoring is a pain isn't it? Has to be done though. Glad all's good with your little one. Remember even on the lower centimes it's all completely normal - and you may be grateful for a wee one nearer your due date!

FeatherFoetus feels like s/he is head down - feeling movement on my ribs/right side, so assuming they're feet, all's good. I see the midwife again on Monday and a consultant on 2 May to confirm position.

Pee - sounds girly to me!

Lil WTF? The handyman was having a go at you in your own home?? Seriously?! I hope your Mum gave him hell! He would lose my business before he could draw more breath! Hope you're alright - you certainly don't need that!

MyBlackCat · 21/04/2016 21:47

I'm not going to ask what an Epi-no is - it just sounds painful. I'm definetly too close to the beginning to need to know anything about things like that Shock
