Welcome to another riveting instalment of TTC#1 grads.

We've got new grads POAS every day just to make sure, 1st Trimesters wondering if they will be hit by the dreaded morning sickness or not, those approaching the hollowed promised land of the second trimester where all is good and the glowing will prevail... Those who have reached the second trimester and are thoroughly miffed at the lack of glowing.
We have scan photos, bizarre symptoms and the joys of baby shopping, and very importantly we now have Stark!

All are welcome on the wild gas powered ride that is TTC#1 grads Grin

I really like the name Harrison or Harry too but my DH's best mate is called Harrison and he would literally never let us live it down if we named him after him lol.

I'm a teacher so if you ever want my generalised opinion of current teenagers names, just ask haha. It's going to be a nightmare picking a name!

Just done my food shopping- 6 ready meals for DH and bread (for cheese on toast), frozen broccoli, frozen potato waffles and special K for me. That's probably us set for the week! Roll on second trimester already!

Mileymoocow · 04/04/2016 18:19

jam my shopping list is carrot sticks, hummus and muesli. OH was cooking mince last night and it turned my stomach! I'm almost into 2nd trimester and still feel horrific. Into my 7th week off work too. Sorry you're suffering already

Peaches8Posies · 04/04/2016 18:31

imp sounds like things are going as they should be, fx.

Was out doing a big shop today (always makes me think of Peter kay when I say that 😂) was looking over at baby stuff but I feel it's too early for me to buy yet.

Iv stocked my cupboards and freezer so I just need to buy some fresh stuff fruit, vegetables, bread, milk etc.. over next few weeks. Everything was making me gag today so I was quite pleased I got through it (with a bit of help from my mum). OH has just made me a lovely salad and baked potato which I thoroughly enjoyed. I walked in to the kitchen and straight back out when I caught a whiff of his cooking away. Mince would kill me right now haha

I find if I don't eat every couple of hrs I feel yucky so Im trying to keep little bits of fruit handy and get a little sugar/sweet fix that way.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/04/2016 18:49

I'm having the opposite problem to being off food atm, I'm RAVENOUS. We keep joking I'm not actually preggers but that I've got worms instead. As a result, it's nickname is now "Tapeworm". I'm having to be really careful what I'm putting in my mouth now. Otherwise I'll be the size of a house. When I've not eaten im getting a bit light headed/acid refluxy.

I'm reading and lurking but not posting much because I really can't convince myself I'm pregnant yet still I don't feel like I am, I won't be convinced until I've seen a heartbeat on a scan I think. But I'm here, silently cheering you all on and hoping for the best for everyone! 🐛🎊🐙💐

Shelb I'll be using cloth nappies so I need to get them bought.

Turns out the group I went to today is now just a babies group. But was still nice to go along. I contacted my local breastfeeding support group and they say I should go along any time so I may start going there for a natter.

I've spent the rest of the day putting up the tree decal in the nursery. Individual sodding leaves!! But I love it!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/04/2016 19:15

bunch the aldi near us had loooooads of cloth nappies. Inserts and the actual nappies. We were thinking about cloth nappying long term. Get on ebay, there's loads of bundles on there at the moment depending on which brand you want.

BunchOfBobs · 04/04/2016 19:43

Yeah Starky I got some of the miosolos
From Aldi. There's loads of groups on Facebook too for preloaded bundles. I have the beginnings of a stash. We plan to use Muslins/terries with wraps to begin with then go into all in ones or all in twos.

shelbTa · 04/04/2016 19:44

Omg bunch I'm getting a tree decal, I've spent hours looking at them! Which one have you gone for?! X

ImpYCelyn · 04/04/2016 19:47

Bunch I've been "topping up" my stash from preloved on Facebook - I'd forgotten how quickly it gets out of control... GrinGrin

BunchOfBobs · 04/04/2016 19:55

Imp are there any specific wraps you recommend for newborns? Btp just look so big. I think I'm going for a mix of milovia smells, blueberry mini coveralls and mother ease rikkis. Then once big enough for btp who am I kidding, I'm sure I'm growing a beast I've got some cheapies from TJs and some miosolos.

Shelb this is the one from Amazon I got, such a bargain and quite fun if time consuming.

Photo attached for what I've done so far, I've got some more leaves to add to bulk it up tomorrow .

shelbTa · 04/04/2016 20:17

Gorgeous!

We've got light grey walls in the nursery now, thinking of a white one x

ImpYCelyn · 04/04/2016 20:38

Bunch my newborn wraps are all motherease, rikkis and some airflow. I really rate them. And then a couple of tots bots fleece wraps for nights. Bigger than that I have blueberry coveralls, a few motherease and one wee notions.

BunchOfBobs · 04/04/2016 20:49

Sounds lovely Shelb, exactly the colour scheme I was going for but the room was already grey and I got itchy and wanted to redecorate.

Thanks Impy I'm not the hugest fan of the motherease prints but I've read so many good things about them I'll just have to suck it up Grin

leoniethelioness · 04/04/2016 20:49

Love the tree! Our nursery currently houses most of our furniture as we're getting the other rooms plastered first. Once we've sorted out our room and the guest room (I'm counting on more visitors after baby is here!) I'll be on to the nursery! Very excited! I wasn't planning on doing much as the baby will sleep with us for a while but I'm now tempted!

Co5mo · 04/04/2016 20:51

So I met this little one this morning measuring bang on 12+4 as per my own dates. All feeling a bit more real now.

Off to pinterest so wall decals now cause that looks fab.

Mileymoocow · 04/04/2016 20:55

Ok, bat shit pregnancy hormones in full force. I just cried at starky not letting yourself get excited yet cause I can totally relate. Then cried at your tree bunch because it's lovely and soon a baby will be enjoying it! I'm literally fucking mental at the minute.

Anyone who doesn't already know have an inkling of sex? I really think we're having a little girl.

Our nursery will be lemon with cream carpet and lemon/cream curtains and we have the roll up roll up bedding set, canvases and wall stickers from mother care. We have an oak 3 piece nursery set. I can't wait to get it started, I'm so excited!

starky I'm so jealous you have a good appetite! Brilliant for you tho, glad you seem to be bypassing the hell that is morning sickness.

Mileymoocow · 04/04/2016 20:56

Ahhhhh co5mo brilliant! Lovely scan Smile

BunchOfBobs · 04/04/2016 20:58

Oh Co5mo congrats, what a lovely photo.

Leonie I won't really need the nursery for nearly a year but I've been too excited not to do it. It will be used for clothes storage etc but will have a futon in for guests, we're doing Christmas this year with 11 adults descending so I need every spare space for beds. The cot won't be going up in there until after Christmas.

Haha Miley bless you.

Co5mo · 04/04/2016 21:05

Thanks. Took nearly half an hour of prodding poking and jumping around to get it to move it's hands away from it's face.

Starky I went through the ravenous stage. Now I don't have the same excuse for eating so much I'm somewhat disappointed.

Pinklily1 · 04/04/2016 21:16

Cosmo, that's a lovely scan picture! And you obviously had your calculations just right!!

Miley, we don't know the sex yet but I'm fairly convinced it's a little boy. Not really sure why, just a feeling. Hopefully we'll find out on Wednesday, unless baby has its legs crossed or something!

Do you still have your 12 week scan on Wednesday too?

I've been having stomach cramp like pains all day. Hopefully it's just wind or stretching going on!

Pinklily1 · 04/04/2016 21:16

And I love the tree bunch!

ImpYCelyn · 04/04/2016 21:27

Congratulations Co5mo! Gorgeous scan pic!

Bunch the new patterns are not very nice, I have some much older ones which are more pastel and gentle and seem right for a tiny. And then it's monsters, monkeys and a t-Rex when they're bigger Grin blueberry are great!

PotatosMum · 04/04/2016 22:00

You ladies and your nurseries are making me jealous! I want a nursery too Envy

Woohoo Cosmo that's a lovely picture Grin

I knew Starky would be a jammy bugger who didn't get morning sickness, I just knew it Wink

Miley your not mental you just have a very sensitive sob reflex right now Wink
Oh, and I'll be surprised if ours isn't a boy, but I'll have cute girly clothes to console myself with Smile

Feeling really achey today. I always feel dreadful after sitting at work all day and have nasty sharp pains around my tummy (particularly the left side but I think that's how I sit) and my hip and foof area. I hate it and it's making me hate going to work. Angry
