I hope you all had lovely Christmas's and that Father Christmas bought everything that you wanted.

I got the new Take That album so i am really pleased Also DH got me a day at the Sanctuary Day Spa in Covent Garden, so i am looking forward to booking that up.

Bubs has been moving, kicking, somersaulting etc over the last week, especially when i lie down or just as i am dropping off to sleep!

Going to hit the sales today - i know that it will be madness, but not as mad as my mum who went to Next at 5.30am this morning!

BTW i have changed my email address to [email protected]

Katybumps that sounds a bit of a nightmare 24 kids

12doc you will soon go full circle so you end up going to bed at the right time - just means you will either be awake or asleep for a long time to get there, it is grin with the bins, i had a moan at dp the other day told him to get of his lazy ar*e and help - didnt go down well, oh well,

I like the bugaboos havent pushed one but wayyyyy out of my budget atm, hoping mum might offer to put towards a pushchair, I have a quinny atm but need a smaller stroller with travel system and ideally carrycot (just fancy one lol) looking at mamas & papas on ebay

Am sat here with bottle of alcho free wine and huggggeee tin of heros watching csi, grrrr new year lol

katybumps · 31/12/2006 22:35

IM BORED!!!!

i hate new year, it used to be great getting all dressed up and sparkly, now i cant be bothered god im grumpy

MKG · 31/12/2006 22:41

I'm bored too. Dh is working late, and I'm sitting here like any other day.

katybumps · 31/12/2006 23:06

i feel like i should be celebrating something but i cant remember what, not having to start dieting tomorrow maybe

twelvedaysofchristmas · 31/12/2006 23:16

Just found a pushchair which is like a bugaboo but half the price. (It actually looks like a direct rip off.) It's called a Hauck Infinity. You can get brand new ones on ebay or kiddicare for around £170 including the pram bit and I think the car seat is about £70. So less than half the price of the bugaboo basic bit. It's also known as the I'coo Infinity and the Jeep Infinity. They're all names owned by Hauck. Haven't pushed one, but read some good things about them on here just tonight. Going to try to find a stockist and try it out. Will let you know when I do. Oh and there's one called and icandy Apple which looks quite qroovy, like a cross between a bugaboo and a quinny. Am going to investigate those too. Bit more expensive, but I think you can still get the complete package for about £400, compared to Bugaboo costing upwards of £650 before you even add any accessories.

Next NYE I will be better prepared. Decided I fancied a chocolate milkshake and a burger, but of course all the restaurants are closed. So went to the late night Sainsburys to buy the ingredients and they didn't have any frozen burgers, burger buns, vanilla icecream... Hmm. Oh well. Had some pate instead and since DH was eating it earlier and isn't ill; I shall assume there is no listeria lurking.

Happy New Year all. Might pop back on later MKG. Not 2007 for you for another few hours yet!

Where is Jess? Haven't heard from her in aages.

Bye for now. x

twelvedaysofchristmas · 31/12/2006 23:18

Wrap some tinsel round yer head katy. Then you'll be dressed sparkly for the evening!

Watching Jules HOlland, will switch over for the fireworks and have a sandwich I think. Woop de woop. Wooo hooo! Celebratin' in style. Yeeehaaa.

katybumps · 31/12/2006 23:33

thanks for the idea, did buy myself some sparkly shoes in asda today think i'll put em on

ive bought the i'coo infinity in the aqua colour its cooool {havent actually paid for it yet just the deposit} it cost 150 quid for pushchair , carrycot ,raincover and cozy toes only thing is you have to take the seat off fold it but i walk nearly everywhere so not really a problem

MKG · 31/12/2006 23:53

Yup I still have another 5 hours till NY. Oh well, I have cheesecake (which I made this morning) to hold over until then.

LupinsBigLump · 01/01/2007 00:00

katybumps · 01/01/2007 00:05

happy new year o my god we have our babies this year

MKG · 01/01/2007 00:07

Happy New Year to all of you. I'm still here in 2006.

I was thinking about Jessinwa today also. She's probably packing up her house, for her move, or away on vacation, or her computer broke, or it's like last month where she posted and no one saw it, because it didn't go through and she thinks we're ignoring her.

charleymouse · 01/01/2007 00:42

Happy New Year Hope you all had a good Christmas
I wrote a message earlier but DH wiped it DOH. Sorry Have been without PC since just before Christmas. DH bought laptop yesterday so am back online, have to wait 'til he is offline though.
Welcome Madeindevon and Abbylou, Happy Birthday for yesterday Letitshnow.
Thanks for your message on the multiples board Merenoel.
Well after the good news from the amnio am just waiting for 20 week scan exactly a week today, nervous but excited as feel we are on a roll at the moment. Still can't believe there are two in there . I must confess I have not done TPT so will do that this week I promise. I am sure I am huge though, definite bump there, a friend came to visit yesterday and commented I was the same size as her SIL whos due date was yesterday .
Cat is currently hiding under the bed as she doesn't like the firebangs as DD calls them, will have to try and coax her out as soon as they all stop.
Hoping you are all keeping well and will catch up in more detail later.

Hope 2007 brings you all you wish for. Happy New Year.

twelvemonthstil2008 · 01/01/2007 00:59

Two glasses of champagne and I've suddenly become rather animated! Rarrr rarrr rarrr!

Started crying when the bongs went at midnight. Stupid hormones. DH said, "just the three of us tonight (ie the bump). Big year coming for us." And I was off. Doh.

Then reverted back to the Grinch that Stole New Year and complained about the tv coverage of the fireworks at the London Eye. "What's the point of close ups of fireworks? You can only appreciate the wide angled shots. Honestly! I'm going to write to Points of View and complain about the director."

Any of that cheesecake going MKG?

Oooh, someone with an Infinity... It's nice when someone backs up your choice.

katybumps · 01/01/2007 01:18

MKG · 01/01/2007 02:19

No cheesecake gone yet. I ate dinner without dh, but I promised I'd save the cheesecake for both of us.

Gingerbear · 01/01/2007 09:33

Happy New Year to you all.
MereNoel - who art thou? OK, I will post more often - but only if you put my name back on the stats list (sulks)
DH and I went out for NYE, it was such fun , there are only so many Apple and Mango J2Os a girl can take, I resorted to mineral water (and hence lots of trips to the loo, lol). Still, it was good fun as we met up with friends we haven't seen in about 10 years.
I am feeling lots more movements from the baby now, and too many kicks in my bladder for my liking. I am also beginning to resemble a beached whale.
Does anyone know how late you are allowed to fly? DH and I have been discussing half term holidays abroad, but I can't remember the rules. (I will google otherwise)

LupinsBigLump · 01/01/2007 09:56

Morning all - Just realised we can laugh at all the people with sore heads today

Charleymouse glad everything is going well

12doc bloomin hormomes doesnt take much to set me off either, i turned tv off as i knew i would have cried at the fworks lol - what hour did you fall asleep, hope it was reasonable?? did the champers help

Katybumps hope you got some sleep

Gingerbear sorry no idea on flying, think it can be quite late but depends on your insurance and the airline - they dont want ladies labouring on the plane

Good luck all that have scans this week

SnowyMeadow · 01/01/2007 10:13

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Gingerbear its 28weeks standard, but i think if you are having a good pg and your doc/mw says you are in good health then i think it can be as late as 32weeks. You need a note for that though and would need to be back in UK on the 32nd week.

Somehow managed to stay awake and see the rubbish fireworks on the London Eye. Thought that the TV was pants, even with sky. Ended up watching 'the spice girls - 10years on' and then the 2 episodes of Little Britain Abroad. Before dosing until 23.55.

Packed up the Xmas tree and took all the cards down last night, one less thing to have to do after work this week. We told J that Father Christmas had put the tree up, so decided to tell him that he had come back a taken it away until next year. We did say that he would be able to keep all of his toys - just incase he thought they would be taken away as well.

Dh has spent the last few days in our garage drilling a hole in the wall to vent the tumble dryer, sort through all the boxes that were placed in the garage on moving day 6weeks ago. He managed to be quite ruthless and got rid of loads of crap - why we couldnt have binned it before we moved...? Can actually walk around in there now and see everything easily. Although we do still have 4 large boxes that we havent even opend yet. Goodness knows what's in there! He does have a reason for doing this other than actually doing it. He wants to build a track for his and J's trains sets and needs the space to be able to do it.

Hoping that Jess is ok. I was also thinking that we hadnt heard from her in a while.

Can someone start a new thread for this week please
