I hope you all had lovely Christmas's and that Father Christmas bought everything that you wanted.

I got the new Take That album so i am really pleased Also DH got me a day at the Sanctuary Day Spa in Covent Garden, so i am looking forward to booking that up.

Bubs has been moving, kicking, somersaulting etc over the last week, especially when i lie down or just as i am dropping off to sleep!

Going to hit the sales today - i know that it will be madness, but not as mad as my mum who went to Next at 5.30am this morning!

BTW i have changed my email address to [email protected]

A very big welcome to the mad may thread Abbylou (oh, sounds like a slimming world meeting) lol. Congratulations on your number two. If you've been reading us for a week no doubt you will get the general gist! Measure your bump with loo roll every Tuesday, TPT (toilet paper tuesday). Off load, rant, rave any problem anytime, we love listening to them and are all pretty good at posting them. No doubt you'll be hit back with endless support and help, cause thats what we are all like on here. Oh, and we love sweet, cute, funny, stories too. Ahhhhh, god, that was a bit of an essay sounds like we neally have a May Manual, Sorry all

Do you have a Krispy Kreme dounut addiction, it goes down well on here?
Are you going to find out the flavour of number 2.

MereNoel · 31/12/2006 15:45

Gingerbear we miss you, post more often!!!!!!! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!

MKG · 31/12/2006 15:49

Did anyone else here about the 67 year old woman in Spain who gave birth to twins? Apparently she's the oldest woman on record to give birth.

MereNoel · 31/12/2006 15:54

Was it a natural conception? Can't have been surely

MKG · 31/12/2006 16:00

It was invitro wow

But who wants to do that she'll be 80 when they're 13.

AbbyLou · 31/12/2006 16:49

More welcomes, wow - I feel all popular now! I have only heard of Krispy Kreme Donuts through the Simpsons and I don't really know what they are I'm afraid? Where can I buy them to try? Dh and I are sooo tempted to find out the flavour this time, we didn't last time. I really don't want to as I think it will take some of the magic away but I really really want to know. I think if I left the decision to dh he would choose to find out but I am torn at the moment. I don't really mind what it is but I suppose deep down I would really like a girl as I have a boy already but I can see plus points to having another boy too. Who knows........

MKG · 31/12/2006 17:09

AbbyLou, paste your stats. A couple in my hypnobirthing class were like you and your dh. The husband wanted to know, and the wife didn't, so the tech wrote it down on a piece of paper for the husband, and he didn't tell her. Except she figured it out when everyone gave her pink clothes and toys before the baby was born.

How do I paste my stats? Sorry if being a bit thick!!

MistletoeandPebblemum · 31/12/2006 18:09

Evening all

Happy Birthday Letitshnow!!

It was my mums 60th last night and because ds2 was back to his normal self it meant that Dh could come with me. It was a great night. I bought a new dress from New Look, it was only £7 in the sales, it was just a normal one not maternity or anything but it looked really nice. It actually made me look pregnant and not just fat like the dress i had planned to wear. I dont normally drink champagne but last night i had two glasses of it and loved it then again i have no taste buds at the moment due to a cold so maybe that helped

Tonight we are off to IL's for a big family party. We have dropped our chocolate fountain off there already (i can imagine the mess the kids will make ). FIL had bought some rockets to let off but looking at the weather i think he will have to think again. It is chucking it down outside and blowing a gale, the winds are supposed to reach 75mph tonight, what fun!!

Im feeling really rough today, i have a stinking cold, sore throat and my nose is bright red. Hope its better by Tuesday (my scan yippee!!) To be honest at the moment the thought of snuggling up under a duvet all night sounds really appealing but ds1 has been looking forward to this party for days so i cant let him down. Its just the thought of all the screaming kids and drunk adults i dont feel in the mood for, maybe i will get into it once im there, its just that its so warm indoors i dont want to move Also we are staying over at IL's so i will be sleeping on the sofa instead of my nice comfy bed boo hoo.

Anyway i had better go and pack PJ's for everyone. Will try to get on here tomorrow to hear how everyones New Year went (and Letitshnows birthday)

MKG · 31/12/2006 18:21

ABbyLou,

All you need to do is left click your mouse, drag it over the text then right click, hit copy, then in the message box right click and hit paste. After just add in your stuff and send.

Pebble,

I don't know if I should be happy because you are having a great time, or be sad because you don't feel good. Either way Happy new year.

SnowyMeadow · 31/12/2006 18:27

Hello there,

Welcome AbbyLou to the madness of the May thread!

Lupins, if you are having a blue one then i have 3 plastic roll boxes full of clothes ranging from birth to 18mths. Jack was born at the end of April, so its all the right season.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Letitshnow. Hope you have had a good day.

MN - hope your mass catering party goes well. I will try and think of you at 11, but cant guarantee that i will be awake!

Evening All. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LetitShnow!

Welcome Abbylou.

That's pants about the fortnightly bin collections. How do the councils get away with it? You know what you need to do... Next local elections. I'm appalled. In Camden we had two bin collections per week, and one recycling. Islington and Haringey are once per week, but both do kitchen waste recycling too (from a lockable box) so if you use that, the bins don't smell bad anyway. Couldn't bear to have nappies in the bin for two weeks. That's DEFINITELY a good reason to use reusables.

Merry New Whatsit to the rest of you. Harrumph. Gone off New Year. Probably due to the fact that I didn't manage to get to sleep until some time near 7am this morning. Went to bed just before 3, couldn't sleep, made hot chocolate, went to the loo three times, read, read, read some more. DH started snoring which was really just the end of the line. Started crying with frustration as I was actually really tired. Oh well. Set the alarm for 10am as I figured I had to try to reset the body clock. Dragged self from bed eventually, at 11.20. Went to Brent Cross to look at pushchairs (and to get out of the house). DH stayed in bed LITERALLY all day so I got in a strop when I got home as the washing up from two days ago STILL wasn't done, despite my repeated pleas. Did it myself and washed the kitchen floor. Tch. Bah Humbug.

Bought yet MORE maternity bras. Changed size in last three weeks. It's getting ridiculous. Underwires finally bit the bullet. Felt like they were spiking me in the armpits. Ummm... Got a pair of soft slouchy trousers in Mothercare and a nice top.

Umm... Oh. Swore blind that there was NO FRICKIN' WAY I was going to buy a Bugaboo pushchair and then had a push of one in John Lewis and actually really like it. I mean, I don't like how they look but they push like they're on air cushions. Also quite liked the Urban Detour but it's very wide. Going to look at a Mountain Buggy as well. Seems there aren't many stockists so will make a shortlist after that and if DH still refuses to go baby shopping ("It's FAR to early," he says), then I'll choose myself.

That's it really. Going to watch Jules Holland tonight, possibly have a couple of drinks and try to get to sleep before 2am!
