It's the calm before the storm (sort of) that is Fantastic February and the March Madness - we did a lot of shagging last summer! We need more JSers on this, our 44th thread!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 44th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 57th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

Haha! Given the fact that 2 days childcare for twins would be almost £200, it might end up as the best option!

5hell · 21/01/2016 20:15

soreen = purchased
nails = strong but not long at the moment
hair = better than normal, but not as mermaidy/swishy as some ;)
me = jealous of pee's xmas cake!!!! Envy

glad your nct cake thingy was better than expected pretz :) ...was there anything you could eat though?

pretzelpieces · 21/01/2016 20:27

Just told DP about my soreen craving that I can't indulge till after baby and he laughed at me!

5hell I had a chicken sandwich! Everyone else had sandwiches AND cake, the lucky buggers.

Would you believe that I generally don't have a sweet tooth at all?! It's just when someone says you can't have something that's fatal isn't it.

pretzelpieces · 21/01/2016 20:28

I'm going to be a SAHM. Well, that's the plan anyway.

honeysucklejasmine · 21/01/2016 20:34

Yay! We can hang out together Pretz!

Blimey Mermaid, you and dh would have to have v highly paid jobs to make that worthwhile.

Mermaid36 · 21/01/2016 20:50

honey I know! And if I'm on part time pay already, it's a massive chunk of money.

We're on decent wages, but not for unexpected twins!!

jellypi3 · 21/01/2016 21:15

I want to be a SAHM and DP wants me to as well but it's really hinging on finances. I know I don't want to go back to work in London, the travel alone is a huge financial and time burden.

My nipples are flaking. I'm getting lumps fall off of them, little white bits which I assume is dried milky stuff, and darker nipples coloured bits too, which I have no fucking clue about!

fruitlovingmonkey · 21/01/2016 21:41

Haha Pee, a few people have confused us lately, must be the F names! I did have a good breakfast (spinach omelette) but not nearly as good as Feathered's hotel brekkie bonanza.
Glad you had a nice time Pretz, not long until you get your baby cake now.
Bloody hell Mermaid that's pricey. It's unfair that you don't get 2x the mat leave/ pay for twins.
Went out for giant pizza tonight, thought I was too full for dessert, then stopped off at the garage on the way home to buy Ben and Jerry's. Turns out I had plenty of room left for ice cream.

pretzelpieces · 21/01/2016 21:45

Yes honey!

jelly yeah mine have been doing the flaky white thing for a while. Not sure what it is either cause I'm getting fuck all colostrum out when I try.

fruit mm yes, the ice cream just slips down the sides and fits in somehow.

KeepTheHope · 21/01/2016 22:02

Thanks all, feeling very happy and relaxed after the scan. Everything just feels good.

Jeez mermaid that's steep!

Nails are amazing and hair is suddenly very long, not sure when that happened.

pretzelpieces · 21/01/2016 22:29

Someone needs to cut my debit card in half, I've just ordered two(!) changing bags when I already own a multi compartment backpack that will do perfectly well?! I also recently bought captain calamari, the lamaze octopus and some vest tops that I hope to come in useful for feeding.

Hobbit19 · 21/01/2016 22:33

Mermaid, have you looked into a nanny? Might be cheaper. Also try contacting TAMBA for twin advice/support.

KateBeckett · 21/01/2016 22:34

Well, I just had a mega tantrum.

Tried to take a pic of my rapidly growing bump in the mirror, but couldn't get one where you can actually see the bump... Dp tried to help, but I'd gotten myself all wound up, so pics came out terrible. We were laughing at the particularly bad ones and my laugh turned into sobs!! Out of nowhere!

Decided it was probably time for bed, but I needed to have my vitamin before I went, got one out, went to get my drink from earlier but I'd drank it all.

cue hysterical crying/ laughing because I knew it was so ridiculous! Just managed to calm myself down Confused ffs!

honeysucklejasmine · 21/01/2016 23:15

Welcome to pregnancy Kate. Flowers It is quite frustrating isn't it? You know its irrational, and yet...

Ah, must write on notes "I am a crier. Doesn't mean I am upset, please just continue as if I wasn't". So embarrassing.

Well, turns out there are still a few bits I need to get for hospital bag. and other bits that were downstairs and I was too lazy to get Will sort tomorrow.

Have lots of acid reflux today. Eating Rennie like its going out of fashion.

5hell · 22/01/2016 06:32

But you're saving money on cake/carbs pretz so surely it balances out!? ;)

Oh kate don't worry, bump will show up, hope dh was supportive Flowers

Yeah plenty of scabby flaky nipple bits here, but your nipple-coloured bits sound a bit odd Confused maybe mention to mw?

Mermaid36 · 22/01/2016 07:45

pud we got our Tamba membership yesterday Grin and have signed up for a specialist antenatal course next month

On the childcare front, I'm hoping that we can persuade one of the impending-grandma's to provide 2 days of free/very cheap childcare until the free nursery hours kick in. Not sure we can lose my while salary if I SAH....but if I do 2 or 3 days it lessens the blow....

Or I look for a new p/t job once the babies arrive....

ThursdayLastWeek · 22/01/2016 07:50

Hmm, the flakey nipples is a new one on me Confused.
Mine have gone much darker already though.

Oh Kate Thanks I think sometimes it's best just to embrace the madness! I often say to DH can I have a hug, he asked what's wrong and I reply with I don't know. Luckily he likes to just gives hugs. And luckily he works at home so is available for hugs often.

No preggo Pilates today - instructor poorly. So I'm going into town anyway (alone! What bliss!) and meeting my friend for a coffee. Going to book myself in for a maintenance haircut before baby arrives.

Six weeks today hurrah!

Well done Mermaid, must be such a headfuck trying to make all these new decisions you weren't prepared for!

OP posts:
Peenut · 22/01/2016 07:57

Oh dear Kate! I've done this a few times ... I'm also having large periods of time where I just feel on the cusp of weeping for no reason really followed by periods of feeling hysterically happy. Weird! Soon bump will be evident from any angle.

On bumps ... before getting a proper bump did anyone find they got double tummy? The bit under my boobs has gone all wobbly and is separated from the second bump bit by my belly button. Hoping I don't go for double bump throughout, maybe it's just things being pushed into strange places causing it or all those Feraro Rocher over crimbo.

I have no clue, but is there extra tax credits help for twins Mermaid? I suppose it's still mega pricey. Yikes! Aside from the SAHM decision maybe you can be a really canny nearly new shopper to save on the double bubble of x2 baby everything? TWINS! I'm so excited for you, but I understand it must bring lots of extra stress!

My nips look deformed ... all bumpy and werid. Not leaky yet. #BoobWatch.

Pretz BUT you neeeed all those Lamaze toys! ESSENTIAL! I bought my niece a Dalamtian stretchy Lamze toy (from our DD, who is a dalmatian.)

I just won on the sleep front! Asleep by 11:30, wake up at 2:00 for a pee, wake up at 6:00 for a pee, don't wake up again until 15 minutes ago! Feel like a new person!

Can't wait for the baby boom to happen! Mostly because there will be loads of babies but also mine will be here too!

pret you have less than 1 week till you are induced. Holy fuck.

I swear baby just stretched. Pressure in my fanjo at the same time as pressure by my ribs. Going to be a fucking ginormababy I know it.

honeysucklejasmine · 22/01/2016 09:11

Baby kicked me so hard last night DH claimed it almost hurt him too (he had his arm over bump). I did give him a look and he hastily added "are you OK?" which saved him.

I am confused though because at lsst midwife appt she said baby was head down like a good child but I mostly get kicks in my side. Last night it was kicking both sides simultaneously. Makes me think it must be transverse. Not sure how its managing to reach both sides otherwise.

Must get up and get going today. Bit of shopping to do, and lots of paperwork. Yay.

ThursdayLastWeek · 22/01/2016 09:20

I think they can spread eagle pretty well in there honey. They are just floating around, and but the third trimester pretty well all scrunched up!

My,last MW appt she put a hand on each foot and they were quite far apart!

Huzzah for the sleep jelly

How are all you EDD ers feeling?!

OP posts:
jellypi3 · 22/01/2016 09:30

honey they are pretty darn flexible in there! When's your next mw app?

I'm just feeling incredibly impatient thurs. My nct group are popping them out like mad, and I just feel like I'll never actually have this baby lol. No signs of labour yet, convinced I'll be induced.

FeatheredTail · 22/01/2016 09:31

Oh god, Mae's post about the post natal ward has given me the shivers! Having to share a room with loads of unknowns and other babies! I would be that whinging woman if I was in that situation although Mae seems really chilled out and relaxed! Hats off to the woman.

Hope I don't have to stay in, but am definitely booking one of the single rooms if I do.

Hurray for sleep Jelly! I wish I could have stayed in bed all morning. Are none of you mat leavers tempted to just stay in a dressing gown all day? Mat leave in January would be great just tucked up all day. Ahhh.

My nips are horrific. Really dark and growing. This child is going to have to have a big mouth.

Mer the childcare thing is a killer! We're kind of lucky in that there's a great little nursery on our road on the way to the station (where we get our trains to work). Downside is it's about £70 a day. Ooof. Definitely enlist a grandma to help! My mum has offered a half day to maybe a full day of help for when I'm back at work (hopefully 3 days a week....If I can wing it)
