Lana exciting about your scan appointment. I haven't had mine through yet but I can't wait!
Leslie that's a gorgeous scan!
Pink I've been the opposite today. I seem to have been munching through all the junk food in the house but nothing makes me feel better
Good luck for tomorrow New
Shelb I hope the snacking continues to help. Worked for me for a while. Fingers crossed!
Bubbles as others have said the cramps are normal. Pregnancy hormones slow down your digestive system which causes trapped wind and constipation. The extra pressure on your intestines and colon cause period type pain that can be excruciating especially when mixed with the growing pains your stomach are going through anyway. The best thing you can try to do is drink more water and eat foods that usually make you poop. That should help your body deal better.
Sophie good luck with the early scan. Stupid metallic taste is normal. I have days when I can't taste food because my mouth tastes like I've been licking dirty gravel!
bunch glad you had a positive experience with your midwife... No advice about the chillie up your nose, just, ouch!
Mor it really irritates me how different NHS areas do things differently. Surely it would be more efficient and therefore more cost effective to have one system for all. The PM in me finds the lack of consistency aggravating.
So, unsurprisingly I'm still feeling sick and mostly staying in bed. I'm feeling a little less exhausted though.
I spoke to a social worker about my mum today. I found out that the stupid assessor who came to see her had reported that she was perfectly capable of looking after herself. Luckily the social worker had been caught by mums nurse and informed that she's unable to do anything without supervision and encouragement. Having then spoken to me the social worker is now going to apply for funding to get mum a place in a care home and make sure that she has hospital or interim care until they can find her a new home. This is fantastic news as it means she'll be properly looked after 24/7 and I won't need to worry. We're having a meeting tomorrow to make arrangements. (Slightly love my mums nurse as I think this turn of events is largely due to her recommendation)
