Well we were TTC but now we've graduated to growing a small human. Good buy peeing on opk's and ic's every day hello monitoring exactly how sick and bloated we feel and ensuring that we're never more than 30ft from a bathroom!

It's the TTC#1 graduates thread! Come and join us on a no holds barred exploration of first time pregnancy (but be really careful about opening any links about cervical fluid unless you have a very strong constitution... Let's face it you're pregnant so you don't)

Oh wow Morwenn, £65 is much more reasonable! Definitely need to scour around a bit more!

DrWhy · 07/01/2016 21:01

Morwenna I love the idea of you just wrapping your baps out and seeing how it goes! Smile
I'm faffing a bit about the exercise as I haven't done much for ages so shouldn't start loads now but I was very fit back in the summer so hopefully some of that is still around and I'm not shocking my body with something it's never done before. I had got a sprint distance Tri planned with a friend in May? I think she did it several months pregnant a couple of years back but she was more active than me to start with so I might have to just go and help with the child wrangling!

Early scans in London seem to cost a fortune! :(

Pinklily1 · 07/01/2016 21:22

The cheapest I can find here (North East) is £99. It seems to vary so much depending on location!

Runner05 · 07/01/2016 21:59

Scans in West Midlands are about £90. OH wants to just wait and see and it's not that long to 12 weeks really. I think it's probably easier to just wait once morning sickness kicks in because bloody hell do you know you're pregnant!

Desperate for the weekend. Poor old neglected OH has been informed that I am putting myself on bed rest and lots of it!!!

Morning ladies, how are we?

I feel bit more sick, fucking tired, and period type pains Confused.

Runner05 · 08/01/2016 07:53

Morning Shelb woke up this morning and started feeling sick as soon as I started moving about again. So tired and starting to feel a bit distressed from always feeling ill. We've got to take the dsc to a cousins birthday party this evening and go shopping. I honestly could cry as I just want to go to bed.

Trying not to get too melodramatic but I think today will be very hard and I may well end up crying in the toilet before its done. Sad

Think I'll get a bacon butty as soon as I get to work but I won't know until I smell it if that's a good idea. Confused

Aw runner, keep going. I hear you - I'm much less nauseous than you it seems and I'm struggling today. Im trying to limit my food intake from going too wild but I'm going to have to have something really bad for breakfast I think too! Just want to be in bed!

Can your oh not do the party and shopping tonight?

X

Runner05 · 08/01/2016 09:21

Aww Shelb sorry you're suffering too. I've just choked down a bacon and scrambled egg bap. Struggled to eat it but feeling a bit better now. Also finding that caffein free diet coke helps, no idea why Confused

Morning ladies

I'm just going with the flow food wise and eating what I feel I can. I don't normally eat bready stuff but have had croissants today for breakfast as its all I could stomach.

I'm wearing my travel bands constantly but they aren't helping me a great deal unfortunately.

Shelb, I had period like pains through the night which woke me up. I'm 6 weeks today so baby has increased from a sesame seed to a blueberry so I'm putting it down to growth!

So pleased it is Friday!

shelbTa · 08/01/2016 09:56

Me too! Going to sleep all weekend!

Any of you ladies really cold? I just can't get warm.

We were doing the maths for SMP last night, money is going to be tight.

Runner05 · 08/01/2016 10:11

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow so baby has gone from a blueberry to a raspberry and uterus has grown to about 3 times normal size Confused tummy muscles are killing me.

Shelb yes! Cold all the time. Driving me crazy.

Well, I just had to ask to work from home for the rest of the day. I just about got home in time to be sick and have a short but violent hormonal sobbing fit. Now sat in bed feeling sorry for myself because I still feel sick Sad

Oh runner bless you! You actually barfed? I hope you feel better now that you are at home. Arrg you are a bit ahead of me time wise, that worries me!

BubbaNo1 · 08/01/2016 12:34

Oh no runner... Hope you start to feel better soon! Not looking forward to that kicking in.

Agreed it's freezing shel... And people in my office keep putting the air con on! Angry

Runner05 · 08/01/2016 12:37

Bright side, I just read that studies have shown that if you have morning sickness you're more likely to have a healthy pregnancy.

Still considering having another cry on the bathroom floor though. It was cathartic... I wasn't even upset, just a bit "I've had enough, I'm just going to sit here on the bath mat and sob"

Bubba different people experience morning sickness to different degrees. I am luck enough phah! to feel really nauseous from first thing in the morning to last thing at night. But some people only have it on and off. This must be my fifth or sixth day with only the odd half hour here or there when I don't feel like barfing Hmm

Just found out that we're allowed soft boiled eggs as long as they have a lion stamp. Yay!

Pinklily1 · 08/01/2016 13:03

Bless you Runner. I think we are sickness buddies, mine is morning to night too.

Stay tucked up in bed if you can this afternoon!

Runner05 · 08/01/2016 13:09

I've got to go to a child's birthday party tonight and then shopping. Planning on buying as many remedies as I can think of.

Pinklily1 · 08/01/2016 13:11

Oh no, that's crap!

I'm going to tell my boss next week, hopefully get a bit of leeway in terms of getting in on time and travelling to things while I feel so sick!

Just realised that Ovia says I have a blueberry and pregnancy + says it is a grain of rice, that's a bit of a difference!

Nevlet · 08/01/2016 13:24

Afternoon girls,

Finally feels "real enough" to make my way from 99% lurker to actual group. One of you suggested it to me on another page yesterday!

Sorry to hear that sickness is stepping up for you all I think I am about a week behind most of you so suspect it may be coming for me soon...

On the plus side - Friday!

Runner05 · 08/01/2016 13:35

Welcome Nev how many weeks are you? We have a few new grads from our ttc page who are a week or two behind us and a couple of grads who are ahead of us. I think the furthest along is around 10 weeks might be wrong

Pink I'm thinking of officially notifying work now. I would have left it unofficial but with feeling so poorly and being off with stress for 6 weeks before Christmas I feel like I need to protect myself.

Oh, and I've noticed the difference between pregnancy + and Ovia too. I thing P+ estimates on the small side as most of the things I've seen say blueberry. (This is now what we call the baby... Until tomorrow when his name changes to raspberry)

Nevlet · 08/01/2016 13:39

Thanks runner.
I think 5+4 but could be 6+4 as I have PCOS and had two bleeds a week apart end of november/beginning of december.

I also use both Ovia and pregnancy +...think Ovia's fertility app was excellent and this one is a let down!

Runner05 · 08/01/2016 13:49

Nev totally agree with you regarding P+ an Ovia. But I still dip in there. Looking forward to seeing the hand thing start showing.
