Well we were TTC but now we've graduated to growing a small human. Good buy peeing on opk's and ic's every day hello monitoring exactly how sick and bloated we feel and ensuring that we're never more than 30ft from a bathroom!

It's the TTC#1 graduates thread! Come and join us on a no holds barred exploration of first time pregnancy (but be really careful about opening any links about cervical fluid unless you have a very strong constitution... Let's face it you're pregnant so you don't)

Morning ladies

Shelb, I've actually switched to decaf. I bought it so I could have decaf sometimes and then maybe a normal cup of tea a day as well but to be honest the decaf is nice so I'm sticking with that. I'm a tea girl through and through so always thought I would hate decaf, so I'm quite surprised! I got the Yorkshire tea one and it's nice.

I've just been spinning this morning and feel a bit like I've overdone it. It was a new instructor and harder than usual Confused The doctor did tell me to continue as normal but I think I may bring it down a bit. It's kind of hard when you are not obviously pregnant as I don't want to look like I'm just giving a half hearted amount of effort but baby has to come first! Hope your exercise goes ok Shelb, i'd be interested in how you feel afterwards.

Runner, 3am is rubbish! I'm averaging two wee's a night, about midnight and then at about 4am and I struggle to get back to sleep afterwards. I might start having a nap during the day whilst I'm off work!

I imagine a house will be so much easier with a new baby!

I ordered some maternity leggings and jeans from topshop when I was at my most bloated. They are the same jeans I usually wear but just maternity style with an under the bump band, so will see what they are like when they arrive later today. I'm going to hold off wearing them as long as possible but they were almost out of stock in my size so I thought I'd get them while I could. New Look and Asos seem quite good as well for maternity selection.

Hope everyone else is feeling better today!

Newmrs22 · 28/12/2015 10:34

Morning all. Hope everyone's feeling ok today. I'm feeling a little sick. Was really hoping I'd avoided it!

My scan is on 21st jan, can't wait. Think it will be good for DH. He still doesn't really believe it haha. Every so often he says 'are you really pregnant?' I guess it's weird for them.

I've been looking at maternity stuff. My normal clothes fit for now but I don't really have anything for the in between stage. I don't know whether to get some jeans in a size up or just try and hold out until I need proper maternity stuff. pink let us know what the maternity jeans are like.

Pinklily1 · 28/12/2015 10:42

Will do Mrs.

I don't really have anything for that in-between stage either. I was thinking I need leggings and long tops so that nothing is too restricting/ clingy but that's not the kind of thing I normally wear so that might raise eyebrows too!

Is it your early scan on 21 Jan Mrs? How many weeks will you be then?

shelbTa · 28/12/2015 10:51

Well wafer thin ham is now off the menu! Took one sniff and gagged!

I might join you on decaf now pink.

Where are your jeans from?

It's a three hour walk we are doing, will report back! Spinning is high intensity, you did well!

Pinklily1 · 28/12/2015 13:32

Shelb, the jeans are Topshop maternity, style is Leigh. I usually wear those anyway, just not the maternity version.

They have arrived and are super comfy. Two downsides - they run short in comparison to the non-maternity ones, so I may exchange for the longer length. I'm also not convinced they will stay up that well as they are an under the bump style, but a few friends have told me over the bump ones are a nightmare for rolling down and for being really hot, which isn't good for a summer pregnancy!

I also got some black topshop maternity leggings and they are amazing. They come over what would be bump but are super soft.

Enjoy your walk!

shelbTa · 28/12/2015 15:41

Cool, thanks pink will take a look.

Walk was fine actually, tired now and few twinges during but putting that down to new ligaments being worked etc. Felt really good and like my old self, def keeping the exercise up as long as I can.

Still no bloating today, hope everything is ok...

Runner05 · 28/12/2015 17:44

Hello ladies, hope you've all been having a nice day.

I've just about finished pacing up anything we can do without for the next 3 months from the kitchen and living room and it's all looking a bit bare which was the point.

I can't believe how exhausted I am now though. Before I was pregnant I would have had the whole flat done by now but I've gad to stop twice for a nap because I've been so exhausted Confused

Time for a cup of tea and a sit down then I think I'll look at the hall cupboard. Hmm

OP posts:
Pinklily1 · 28/12/2015 19:39

Hope the hall cupboard was a success Runner! I had to have a nap today and that was only after hoovering and polishing Smile

Newmrs22 · 28/12/2015 19:49

On the 21st I should be between 10-13 weeks. I think 11 but we'll see. Can't wait to have an actual due date Grin

I've been feeling exhausted today too. Think I might head to the gym tomorrow. Hardly been in the past 2 weeks.

That's interesting pink. I might leave the jeans for a bit and go and try a few styles once I have a bump.

Pinklily1 · 28/12/2015 22:20

So exciting that you have a scan date! Will this be our first thread scan?!

Runner05 · 28/12/2015 22:47

Ooo... Yay! First scan picture Grin

Anyone else totally bored of early pregnancy yet? I want to fast forward to second trimester already Wink

Hall cupboard didn't happen today. Too tired. Shall do some more tomorrow while OH is at work. Smile

Hello!! I'm still here! waves

Just spent a while trying to catch up on the thread (had a break over Christmas) so I hope you are all enjoying the holiday!

I'm now going to be 7 weeks tomorrow, still got bloating (although mainly after food), no nausea/sickness Shock but then my Mum said she didn't have it so I'm hoping I follow after her! Boobs are only really sore (and I mean really sore) at night Hmm Only POAS a few times over Xmas for reassurance, but in actual fact the line got slightly fainter which I've read is down to the Hook effect (so much hormone in your system that it perversely makes the line fainter). So I'm leaving the tests alone now to avoid driving myself mad. I just won't know what's going on until I have an early scan just before 9 weeks.

I've had days when I've thought I've imagined it all, and days when I most definitely wasn't imagining it!! Symptoms come and go, so I've relaxed and accepted that what will be will be.

Parents and in-laws were thrilled, but have reminded them it's early days!

no unusual cravings yet, but when I'm hungry, I'm hungry!!

Oh, and extremely tired. Night all.

Runner05 · 29/12/2015 08:21

Hi Mor glad to see you're still about.

I'm probably jinxing it now but am I right in thinking that none of us have really suffered with morning sickness? That's pretty lucky Smile

Glad that telling the olds went smoothly for you Grin I still haven't told anyone. Think I'm going to wait until 12 weeks now. I'm already 5+3 so it won't exactly be long Smile

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 29/12/2015 08:25

Huzzah, I've finally had a night without pain still up pissing 2/3 times though!! Fx that's the end of the awful trapped wind a girl can hope.

I think I'm the first scan, I get mine tomorrow, I should be 7+5. My first nhs scan is then booked for the 1st of Feb. Eek 1 more sleep!!

Anyone else got theirs booked?

Runner05 · 29/12/2015 08:35

Eeeee exciting Bunch!!! Make sure you post your scan ASAP so we can have a nosey.

No scan booked for me yet. I have my booking in appointment in 2 1/2 weeks. And I'm going to wait for my 12 week scan which I should have sometime mid February Smile looking forward to that as afterwards I can tell everyone in the world that I'm upduffed (and probably will!!!!) Grin

shelbTa · 29/12/2015 09:35

Morning ladies, hi Mor!!

Awwww first scan bunch, how exciting. And glad you had a better night last night.

Good effort with the packing runner! When do you move?

Got midwife appointment for the 12th January! Also, first really upduffed body sign today (apart from giant nips) I've got the beginnings of the that line you get down your tum from the pregnancy hormones. Not overjoyed about it, but it's ok, and there will be worse to come!

X

BunchOfBobs · 29/12/2015 09:54

Oh wow Shelb that's early. I'd be super excited with the extra symptom, though I'm hating my mahoosive nips!!

shelbTa · 29/12/2015 09:59

I know, it's is early isn't it, I really hope there isn't two of them in there, I'd struggle with that! Although I don't really have any sickness or anything which apparently is a real sign.

Bunch - my nips are ridiculous. They use to be quite small and discreet. You could hang you shopping bags off them now and they are so sensitive.

X

Pinklily1 · 29/12/2015 10:29

Morning ladies!

With all this nipple talk I'm a bit disappointed mine haven't changed! Hmm

Bunxh, so exciting you have your scan tomorrow. Hope all goes well. I have my booking in appointment on 6th Jan and hoping to get a scan appointment sorted then or shortly afterwards.

The lack of sleep and constant weeing is a nightmare. I've started to feel a bit nauseous again too, but too early for morning sickness I think.

I had a really vivid dream the other day that we had twins. It freaked me out. Does anyone have twins running in the family?!

Runner05 · 29/12/2015 10:38

Wow Shelb that is early! If you don't mind me asking, have you got quite big already?

I don't know when we're moving yet. The estate agent told us to clear out the flat as much as possible to make it look minimalist so I'm packing up all out stuff and we're going to store it at OHs dads house until we move.
The flats part buy so I have to get a surveyed in to value it, then I can get it on the market. Sh hopefully be sold within the next 2 months Grin

Pink I'm also disappointed that I have the same old nipples I've always had.

Jumped on the scales this morning and nearly burst into tears. Between Christmas and early pregnancy I've put on about a stone and I already wanted to lose a stone before I got upduffed Sad feel like a right pig already!

OP posts:
shelbTa · 29/12/2015 10:44

Ladies - don't envy the nips honestly!

Runner - no it's totally flat, don't even have any bloating. At first I thought it was fake tan but nope it's definitely there! Reading up its hormone related, and sometimes indicates low folic acid (though I've been taking the supplements for months).

Pink yes re twins on OH side, not on mine. Do you? Does anyone?

X

BunchOfBobs · 29/12/2015 10:53

I have twins running on three sides of the four (I.e on both my mum and dads side and on my fils side) yay Confused----
I'm also firmly of the opinion I ovulated twice as I had two bouts of EWCM , one after my apparent fw was over. I've had numerous dreams I'm having twins too. But I haven't had much sickness yet, just minor bouts of nausea. I'll find out tomorrow either way.

Definitely don't be jealous of the mega nips. It's more my aureola that are terrifying me. Ugh.

shelbTa · 29/12/2015 11:07

Wow bunch!!

X

Runner05 · 29/12/2015 11:08

Wow! We'll all be waiting with bated breath to see how many are in there Wink

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 29/12/2015 11:49

Also forgot to mention that my mother who's a bit woo has had numerous fortune tellings saying that they can see twin boys in her future. So she's very much of the opinion I'll be having two. DH fully prepared and we both think we'll laugh if told its twins but I'm hoping for a singleton if only to save my fanjo
