Well we were TTC but now we've graduated to growing a small human. Good buy peeing on opk's and ic's every day hello monitoring exactly how sick and bloated we feel and ensuring that we're never more than 30ft from a bathroom!

It's the TTC#1 graduates thread! Come and join us on a no holds barred exploration of first time pregnancy (but be really careful about opening any links about cervical fluid unless you have a very strong constitution... Let's face it you're pregnant so you don't)

Shelb, my bloating was from gas and I have been farting like never before. But I've woken up this morning and feel fine, no symptoms other than super tired, and that worries me too. I like having symptoms as it makes it real, if you see what I mean?

How are you feeling otherwise? How far are you now?

shelbTa · 27/12/2015 09:25

Thanks pink.

I'm 4 weeks 6 days I think. What are you?

I'm ok really, tired (sleeping solidly all night which is unlike me), bit emotional, few food tendencies I think. The worse one so far though are my nips which believe me when I say they are MASSIVE! Massive.

What about you?

Just downloaded pregnancy+, really good.

Pinklily1 · 27/12/2015 09:29

I'm 4 weeks 2 days so not too different. Have you got your first midwife appointment yet?

I'm shattered by about 9pm, falling asleep as soon as I get into bed but then waking up in the night to go to the toilet at least twice, which is so annoying. Other than that, occasional nausea and bloating and a bit of constipation. So glamorous!

My boobs haven't changed. They are already sizeable, but I'm sure bigger boobs would go down well with OHGrin

I've just downloaded pregnancy + as well and just based on a quick look it is so much better than Ovia pregnancy!

Newmrs22 · 27/12/2015 11:28

Morning ladies. Hope you all had a nice Christmas.

runner thanks for the app reviews, I downloaded pregnancy+, seems much better than Ovia. I'm currently being dated as 9 weeks because of last AF. Can't wait for my scan to find out actual dates. I think I'm 7 weeks.

Not much to report symptom wise, except tiredness. Doesn't feel particularly real!

BunchOfBobs · 27/12/2015 11:41

Morning all.

I too have now downloaded pregnancy+ but can't seem to figure out where to put symptoms. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

My bloating is no where near as bad as it was a couple of weeks ago but the trapped wind feels so much worse. I too wake up twice in the night for a wee but the pain from trapped wind wakes me more often than that.

I'm struggling to sleep past 6-6.30am and to go to bed any later than 9.30 but then I really struggle to sleep for a long period of time. Cramps have mostly eased but trapped wind and constipation has taken its place. Still awaiting the start of morning sickness though. Food is a bit weird. I ate left over tomato pasta for breakfast followed by a gu pud haha. Off for a food shop shortly if DH can fix our front door else we're waiting for the locksmith. I have a sizeable list of treats to help me feel better because I'm so fed up with my guts playing up.

Sore boobs have started to ease off a smudge though huzzah!!
I hope everyone else is feeling slightly better.

Runner05 · 27/12/2015 13:40

Gah! I had my first "proper" symptom today. I was walking though next when all of a sudden I was so dizzy I couldn't stand up. OH has to grab my arm and I managed to catch and lean on a clothes rack. It was scary as hell as I honestly couldn't tell up from down.

At home having a nice lie down now while OH plays StarWars on Xbox.
I hope this doesn't turn out to be a feature of my pregnancy Hmm there was a pregnant woman in our office last year who would pass out all the time with no warning ShockSad not fun

Hope you're feeling okay now Runner. That must have been really scary.

BlueGirl1982 · 27/12/2015 14:24

I've had those runner, it was probably my first proper pre test symptom, at the time I thought I was just tired or had vertigo again, it's settled down since although I had another bad one yesterday...thankfully I was already sitting down!

Feel a bit generally rubbish today, think the hectic-ness of the last few days has finally caught up with me...

Runner05 · 27/12/2015 14:24

Yeh, it was a bit. I was laughing because it was so unexpected and came from nowhere but I was also close to tears because it was so scary.
Just hope it doesn't happen again Confused

Hope you are feeling better Runner!

Pinklily1 · 27/12/2015 19:32

New, when is your scan? So exciting to get dates confirmed or at least firmed up!

shelbTa · 27/12/2015 20:26

Runner that sounds awful - and you've suffered too blue.

Blimey bunch yeah sounds like your tummy is acting up? Have you tried a yakult or something like that-are upduffers allowed them?!

Pink no appointment yet for me, going to ring tomorrow and hopefully they'll have them for the new year.

Exiting new! Fingers crossed stays the same and no morning sickness for you any time soon!

I'm feeling very symptomless, just tired. And all I want to eat is fish. And dairy.

Is anyone getting an early scan? (Sorry if missed that your scans are early ones)

X

Runner05 · 27/12/2015 20:36

Ooo! Blue I missed your post. Glad I'm not the only one. Slightly worried about it now. There are lots of stairs where I work and if I had one while walking up then it would really hurt. Might use the life from now on just in case Confused

No early scan for me Shelb OH thinks it's a waste of money and I guess he's right as it won't really make a difference.

Have started the great moving pack today. We need to pack up a load of our junk and put it into storage before we have photos done. Hopefully we'll get it on the market in the next couple of weeks and sold by the end of Feb fx. Then we can look for a nice little home with room for a nursery Grin

Hi Shelb

I've got my booking in appointment on 6 January and am going told out for the 12 week scan after that rather than having an early one. What are you thinking about scans?

Hope everyone else is ok.

I had a quick look at maternity clothes today and there isnt much in the shops. I think I will be looking online when it comes to it!

Pinklily1 · 27/12/2015 20:38

*hold out for the 12 week scan

Pinklily1 · 27/12/2015 20:39

Runner, exciting about a possible move! Will you be moving from a flat to a house?

BunchOfBobs · 27/12/2015 20:47

I have an early scan booked for Wednesday.

I've got some deflatine Shelb, that's safe for pregnancy according to the packet.

I'm having a really rubbish couple of days. Feeling really meh and fed up. Took a funny turn sat watching tv and just felt really off and woozy so I've come to bed where the room is much cooler and I can lie down. DH has been an absolute darling- backache mega kicked off again today so he's been wonderful rubbing it and making me endless cups of hot water or peppermint tea , I think the exhaustion has kicked in which doesn't help. I'm hoping tomorrow is a better day as I feel such a whinger.

shelbTa · 27/12/2015 21:42

Oh bunch sounds like you are really suffering, hugs! Whinge away. You are way ahead of us all aren't you by about three weeks I think so we will all be whinging too soon!

Yeah think we are going for an early scan, just cos we are excited really!

Pink hmmm I've been looking at mat clothes too. I need something not obviously maternity but roomy and smart to get me through the next few months undetected in a formal office! What about you?

Move sounds exciting runner!

BlueGirl1982 · 27/12/2015 21:49

I've booked an early scan Shelb, for 9th Jan when I think I'll be 7+3...was too impatient to hold out for 12 weeks and it's only £45. OH doesn't really see the point, thinks what will be will be, but said if it makes me happy...anything for a quiet life I think!

Had a rubbish day too today bunch, not feeling great and feeling a bit overwhelmed...sure it's just another hormones boost though that will hopefully settle in a day or two.

Started looking at prams and things...some stuff is super expensive Confused

Also looked at maternity clothes, really knew what size I was going to end up in, as next had some bargains online!

Pinklily1 · 27/12/2015 22:02

Hugs to Blue and Bunch if you are feeling a bit crappy today.

Shelb, I need smart casual for the office. I generally wear dresses so will opt for maternity dresses too. Will be wearing my slightly roomier dresses to hide any bump to start with and then I'll go for close fitting so it's obviously I'm pregnant and not just fat! I want to spend as little as possible on clothes so it's very tempting to get stuff in the sales but no idea if it will fit!

Pinklily1 · 27/12/2015 22:03

Ps Blue it's the prams and car seats etc which I think are really eye watering cost wise!

Runner05 · 27/12/2015 22:09

Yes, shall be moving from a 1 bed flat in the centre of town to a 3 bed house out in the estates. It's going to be a bit of a leap really but I'm looking forward to it. Just wish I wasn't so lacking in stamina at the moment though. Everything exhausts me so quickly Sad

Sounds like you're having a rubbish time Bunch flat your OH is looking after you.

I've been thinking of looking at maternity cloths too. My size is so changeable with bloat at the moment. Sometimes even my cloths a size up feel snug that'll be because of Christmas. Feel a bit silly buying maternity clothes this early though, for your first you're not supposed to show until 20 weeks ish but why the hell does no body ever talk about how bad the bloating can be?!

Resisting the urge to get out of bed and make a sandwich, so hungry!!!

X

Runner05 · 28/12/2015 03:05

Lol, did you get your sandwich Shelb?

Have just woken up needing both a wee and a drink of water... Now see no reason to get back to sleep straight away as I'll need a wee again in 20 minutes Confused

shelbTa · 28/12/2015 09:16

3am runner!! Did you get back to sleep? I hope so. How are you feeling today?

No I sucked it up and went to sleep! Solid 8 hours and woke up feeling barfy. Just had saviour cup of tea - pink are you still having tea?

Going for first major bit of exercise today since getting upduffed.
