Scrowy so sorry to hear your sad news. Sending hugs.
I don't know how to add to the list but DD 1st July , DC1

Pinseyboo38 · 05/01/2016 18:44

Also can't find the fb group x

pulpi · 05/01/2016 18:44

Oh Scrowy, I'm so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself.

pulpi · 05/01/2016 18:51

Found the group and am pending. Accept me, I crave your acceptance!!

Am 11 weeks today, but the recent sad news in this group has me a bit on edge. Booking appointment on Monday and fingers crossed I'll hear the heartbeat.

Scase1firsttimemum · 05/01/2016 18:52

Magic- I have heard that employers dont need to know until 20 weeks I think it was! This may be untrue have a little look on the internet however if you were to take it you would not be entitled to maternity pay from them and would have to go through the job centre

And to all those struggling to find the group Im sorry but heres a link which should get you to the page

So sorry to hear the bad news, thinking of you all.

I've added myself again, just been lurking... I suppose I'm still being cautious.
We had a private scan before Christmas so we could confidently tell family. I didn't realise what a relief it would be. Only had my booking in appointment today, so waiting for my scan date from nhs. Christmas delays!

My ms improved a lot over Christmas but I have lost about 5kg altogether, and still have a weird reduced appetite and find some things totally repellent. I'm trying to keep eating through it... And have stopped wearing sea bands 24/7 and felt OK. Ish. Thank goodness for vitamin tablets or I think this baby could have come out wrapped in a snickers wrapper with a satsuma for a head!

I'm self employed and going to have to give up work - anyone got any advice about when I should do this? I teach in schools self employed status, I'm just not sure. And I don't want to be giving up too early and missing my wage :( I don't have any maternity pay or etc through the contract work, so I suppose I can research what the government offers.

Lucia82 · 05/01/2016 18:58

Ps I don't want to join the Facebook group as it says that it is a closed group but you can see the members- am I being an idiot?... I don't want work people on Facebook to find out before I'm ready!

Magickal · 05/01/2016 19:04

I'm sorry for all the sad news. I miscarried in May so am on tenterhooks all the time. We've had a death in the family recently too so things feel difficult and precious.

Re mat leave, I wouldn't be entitled to anything from employer and, legally, I don't have to say anything til April but I feel like it is only fair to let them know. Or is that daft? They've been good to me and I don't want to take the piss but I also want to protect myself.

Magickal · 05/01/2016 19:05

Lucia - I can't join the group for the same reason. People can see a closed group. If it's secret then no-one can see but also no-one can find it unless added by someone else.

Scase1firsttimemum · 05/01/2016 19:13

I put it as a closed group because only members could find the group where as anyone can look for the group, so if people are purposefully looking then they will find out you are on there otherwise they wont, they wont see you have posted because it wont go on your timeline for them to see so that was the safest option as when I was creating it I wasnt ready to tell everyone yet, however join when you are all ready :) the link is there for the future if you cannot find it :)

People can see closed groups - it comes up on the ticker 'Magickal has posted in July 2016 babies (closed group)', it just means other people can't easily find it and can't join unless approved.

For various reasons, my pg cannot be public knowledge yet.

RoseInWonderland · 05/01/2016 19:39

Hello all! I posted briefly on the earlier threads but wanted to say I'm still here and have been catching up. Christmas and having my twins off school was a bit of a distraction!

Absolutely gutted to hear the recent sad news. Am thinking of you and your families Melvali and Scrowy.

I had my 12 week scan on the 29th and all was good. Such a relief. Baby was so wriggly! I'm still waiting for the blood test results but I'm assuming it will be good news seeing as no-one's rung me? Finally felt like it was the right time to tell my girls they're going to be big sisters. They are beyond excited Smile Both convinced it's a girl as apparently they can see it's long hair on the scan photo!

So now the countdown is on to my 20 week scan on 16th February. Can't wait to find out if we're team pink or blue (I think pink Smile).

Will try and post more often from now on! Sickness is starting to wane so I'm feeling slightly more human!

RoseInWonderland · 05/01/2016 19:42

I will try and join the Facebook group too if that's ok! Will try and find it now.

CultureSucksDownWords · 05/01/2016 20:19

I can't join the FB group just yet, unless it's secret, as I'm not telling work just yet. I know at least 1 person in my office is a nosey FB stalker, as she's mentioned a few things that I've posted and I think we have friends of friends in common. She would definitely find out!

Cheery1 · 05/01/2016 20:54

Same here culture - will wait to join until I'm ready to be publicly expecting!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 05/01/2016 21:02

Scase glad the scan went well. I can't find the fb page.

Cheery I'm self employed too so I feel your pain.

Hopes its crazy the worry isn't it. I have been more worried this time than ever before. You would think being my fourth I would be used to it all by now. I hope the meds kick in soon and that you start feeling better.

Pulpi they don't usually check for the heartbeat until 16 weeks. I'm sure everything is fine. It's such a worrying time. I'm sure the midwife will help put your mind at ease.

Can we change the fb group to secret as I don't want the whole fb announcement thing. Especially without actually announcing it if you see what I mean.

Scase1firsttimemum · 05/01/2016 21:04

Heres the link again for those struggling to find it
m.facebook.com/groups/1540417712935507

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 05/01/2016 21:07

I've sent a request my initials are R then the letter after L. I won't post until it's secret though as I don't want it to show on any friends timelines.

photographerlady · 05/01/2016 21:31

Btw we could always change the Facebook group to something like MN July or MN 716 something people can't really guess is a pregnancy group :)

Fourormore · 05/01/2016 21:32

That's a good idea photographerlady

Lucy90 · 05/01/2016 21:49

Sent a request I'm Lucy O

Scase1firsttimemum · 05/01/2016 22:10

Thats a good idea, I'll look into changing it

OP posts:
Scase1firsttimemum · 05/01/2016 22:11

HopesAndDreams15 · 05/01/2016 22:14

Beaut you'd think we'd more relaxed but I definitely feel more anxious than I did with my first two about the scan... Or perhaps I've just forgotten the worrying and can only remember the nice bits? Thanks, hopefully should feel better for the meds Smile

Cookiesandcoffee · 05/01/2016 22:50

I will be up for the Facebook group if it's private Smile I think they're a really good idea once babies have arrived as its easier to post. I've lost touch a bit with my precious group and I feel sad, I hope I can stick with you ladies Grin

I've got my 15 week app next week to hear heartbeat ( we have them @ 15 around here) I'm counting down! However STILL nothing from my scan/blood results . I think it's 3 weeks tomorrow Angry Eeekk sounds so lovely becky i think it's really emotional hearing the heartbeat, I can't believe you're 16 weeks already!

Lovely scan photo scase thank you for sharing, very happy everything is ok.

Would be lovely if you could face popping in mel, I feel like I've really been on your journey over the past few months.

great news on your results culture that's fantastic. That's a really low one too.
