Scase - yep brown patches on boobs / nipples..really common in some people due to hormones affecting melatonin levels apparently. I also get that brown linea negra too. If only it looked like a nice tan...

Becks - lovely pic, excellent jaw line!

Julfin - m&s have good selection of maternity bras but def get fitted because you'll be horrified amazed at what size you become.

Loki - I hope yr SIL is right as I def qualify for rounded stomach status and I'd love a girl!

Sweet dreams everyone including pregsomniacs/pee repeat offenders/scan anticipators and pickled onion eaters! (Beautician I've just ordered some, totally caught your craving!)

Ellizardo · 15/12/2015 21:57

Sorry Jemima I meant your scan. I'll go to sleep now...

Jem01 · 15/12/2015 22:51

Finally arriving in Canada. Exhausted. 24+ hours in transit. Hard to know where the morning sickness ends and the motion sickness begins.

But on the upside, we're telling my parents tonight!

Loki17 · 16/12/2015 06:09

I meant to say yesterday, I picked up some 'smoothing bras' from Sainsburys the other day to wear for bed or bumming around the house. They are so comfy! Just enough support to help with the sore boobs but not restrictive. They were only £6.

julfin · 16/12/2015 07:09

Thanks ladies for the bra advice! Really helpful. Will go and explore the shops tomorrow.
Hope people are feeling well/better today...?
My scan is still nearly 3 weeks away. Feeling impatient! (Also, hungry.)
Only 10 days til Christmas - crikey.
Have a good day everyone!

Scase1firsttimemum · 16/12/2015 07:11

Thanks Cookies x

Glad you arrived safe and sound pulpi - bet your parents are going to be so chuffed Smile

£6 for a bra! loki you are the bargain hunter!

Slept so badly last night, was crampy and so started to worry that something was wrong. Argh! Just want to get through this week ok. Scan on Sat! Keep calm and carry on!

Happy Wednesday ladies. Xmas Smile

Kaytee1987 · 16/12/2015 08:14

Mascara it's funny how it's done differently everywhere, I had the date for my booking in & first scan the day I went to the GP and as far as I know I won't get any more bloods until I'm 16 weeks they just do the scan at 12 weeks.
My dating scan isn't until 13th January but got an early private scan on 22nd, can't wait! Loads of the women at the hospital yesterday had people with them but I just went on my tod - didn't think it was the norm for your partner to come to anything other than scans Hmm

Bluebell20 · 16/12/2015 08:38

Becks, sorry your sonographer was abrupt - glad the baby was happy and waving though :)

Beautician and Cookies, I've got to say I don't love my new short hair. It's not terrible, though, and if I grip the front bits back either side then to be fair it is quite Clara Oswald! They put some products in it that have made it look a bit messy, so I think once I've washed it and styled it myself I'll be much happier.

It has motivated me to go and get my contact lenses sorted, though - I haven't been able to wear them for a year due to developing an allergy to them, but the optician thinks my eyes will have settled down enough now to try a new type. And I think I will like my new hair more without my glasses :)

I've had the sneezing / coughing + sharp pain, too. It's not very nice but it goes away quite quickly and so I've not worried about it.

Pulpi, hope that telling your parents goes well!

P.S. Bluebell - bet your hair looks lovely. Always takes a bit of getting used to a crop

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 16/12/2015 09:51

I'm 12 weeks today according to the dating from my 8 week scan. Still being sick sadly!

wantingno2 · 16/12/2015 10:13

Morning ladies
my Internet wasn't working yesterday so couldn't get on glad your scan's went well ladies I'm 9+1 now my 12 week scan is on the 7th I can't wait to get this first trimester out the way then hopefully I might feel human again I'm sooooo tired.

felinewonderful · 16/12/2015 10:31

Morning ladies, hope you are all ok, not been on here for a few days as been ao exhausted and nauseous. I'm 10+3 today and this week, my sickness has been worse, I've thrown up every morning at least twice and feeling sick on and off throughout the day. I thought it would be easing off now, is anyone else feeling like this? I'm also having sciatica type pains down my legs. Anyway, lovely scan pic Jemima :-)

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 16/12/2015 10:51

feline my sickness seems to have been getting worse since 10 weeks - it eased off considerably for weeks 8 and 9 but now at 12 weeks it's as bad as ever!

beckslovestimmy · 16/12/2015 11:00

Will catch up properly later but thought I would add our scan pic it's not great but we saw baby really clearly through the scan.

Woodsy81 · 16/12/2015 11:50

Love all the scan pics. :)

feeling starving and nauseous today. This nausea is so random. 99% of the time I feel normal then suddenly I am really hungry and feel like I am going to throw up. Today has been the worst day for it by far. I know I have been really lucky to feel like this so infrequently. Craving a bacon roll but with only 1/2 hour for lunch that's not going to happen. Bacon crisps may have to do.

Cheery1 · 16/12/2015 11:54

Woodsy - top tip from a friend who's now 19 wks. Keep a banana/oatcakes by your bed at night and in your bag in the day to preempt hunger and hopefully stave off the nausea. Works for me when I remember!

Cheery1 · 16/12/2015 11:55

Aw becky -glad you saw your little one loud and clear!

Kaytee1987 · 16/12/2015 11:56

My nausea has 100% gotten worse in the past week. I feel sick all day every day but am not actually sick very often. I feel better whilst eating but the minute I finish a meal I feel sick again. Don't know how people with HG cope.

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 16/12/2015 12:22

Kaytee I'm the same as you with the nausea only subsiding when I'm eating. Currently finding that having a punnet of grapes next to me so I can graze on them really helps as they're small but enough to help. Ginger biscuits did help initially but I got sick of eating them. Could go the same way with grapes (although hopefully not too soon not only because they're helping but because DP bought in 4 punnets from the supermarket yesterday so still have lots to get through!)

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 16/12/2015 12:37

Anybody else really bloated? Currently look closer to 4 months than 2 and my favourite trousers are getting snug Blush

Pinseyboo38 · 16/12/2015 12:41

Hi all,
I have been lurking and reading from thread one but too afraid to join. I had a missed miscarriage on March this year and had an awful time needing blood transfusions. Anyhow I had a private scan on Monday and they have dated me one week ahead making me 11+2. Symptoms haven't been too bad which I should be happy about but really want symptoms to keep me feeling pregnant if you know what I mean.
Baby looked all good on scan and wouldn't keep still so that she keep me going till I get my appointment through for 12 week scan.
Sorry for the rambling and lovely to be here.

InsufficientlynCaffeinated, I feel huge with bloat. Am just on my way out to buy the next size up jeans as my 12s just aren't comfortable anymore and my boobs enter the room before I do lol

Cheery1 · 16/12/2015 12:59

Hi Pinsey - Lovely to have you here! so sorry to hear about your Mmc. I had a mc at 10 wks in April so I know a bit how you feel. Holding out for private scan on Sat.
10+3
