Thanks for the reassurance ladies. Didn't ring the mw as blood had gone by lunchtime. Hurts a bit tho so gonna keep an eye on it.

MissClarke - sorry to hear things are still worrying. Hope everything works out ok.x

Re pram: Personally I'd advise people to get a cheap pram and spend the money on a really good pushchair instead. We used our fancy pram for 10months and a crap pushchair for 3 years. I cant wait to chuck the damn thing away and get a nice one for this baby lol.

Hello everyone! I have mostly been lurking and reading along but had my scan today so feel more confident now! Although symptoms have been plenty! my original dates were 11+1 but put back by 3 days so now 10+5/6 so due date changed to 21st Smile feeling very relieved to have seen baby looking so wriggly and midwife/sonographer was amazing, checked stomach/kidneys etc and said all looked really good so we came home and told our DD (big age gap she will be 9.5 when this one is born) have to go back for downs testing but couldn't wait any longer to tell DD! Fingers crossed all will be well in 2 weeks when we go back! Good luck to everyone going for scans soon. Feel pregnant and excited! Going to tell Mil on New Year's Eve at family party and my mum tomorrow. Just work to tell in the new year not looking forward to telling my boss but hopefully all will be ok! Cake to celebrate in this house Grin

bluebell that's a good point re bloating, I really hope it's just that as that means it's temporary.

beautician mine are a bit big too but I don't mind as I know I'll grow into them eventually and I can't bear to keep stuffing myself into my normal clothes it's so uncomfortable

welcome rolly and congrats on the scan

hopes I've got my scan on the 7th too

Cheery1 · 29/12/2015 18:23

Hello all. Scan was great. Lovely normal, wriggly jumpy baby with right number of everything in right place (so jumpy sonographer took ages to take measurements). So relieved and delighted. Just waiting on bloodtests. DH was lovely in the end and has agreed to go see GP about anxiety and IBS (big step, but I think today made him confront it, he really doesn't want to miss out on these important milestones). Thank you so much for all your brilliant, kind support. You are all such wonderful women. X

Brilliant news elizardo and rolly! Glad all well with your little ones. Hooray!

Cheery1 · 29/12/2015 18:26

missclarke - I'm so sorry you've not had better news. This must so hard for you. Sending you much love and support and hoping all turns out ok for you.

Vickie360 · 29/12/2015 18:28

Mel mines at 11.40 so at least they are quite are early and we don't have to wait all day.
Sorry to hear your news miss Clarke fingers crossed for you.
Congratulations to everyone who's had their scans and good luck to everyone still waiting

redstrawberries101 · 29/12/2015 19:02

HopesAndDreams15 · 29/12/2015 22:05

A busy week for scans next week then, good luck ladies!

Glad the scan went well cheery Smile

Scase1firsttimemum · 29/12/2015 23:13

Anyone got one on the 5th? Im bricking it! I pooed myself today! Found the tiniest spot of blood in my pants (sorry for tmi) but nothing on any tissue at all and it seemed to have come from the outside of them rather than the inside.. How I have no idea and no idea where on earth it came from! But bloody scared me! Just want to see the baby!

OP posts:
julfin · 29/12/2015 23:49

Yes I've had the tiniest bit of spotting too, the last couple of days, when I wipe. The first two times it was very pale pink, but today it was (pale) red - so I'm really worried. Seems it's not unusual but I'm still really anxious. I have my first antenatal appointment tomorrow so will ask about it. There's not been enough to leave any marks in my pants (as far as I know, although have been wearing black panties so can't be sure) but I'm really worried as it's red. Wish next week's scan was this week :-(

What questions should I be asking at my antenatal appointment? I feel as if I ought to have a long list of things to ask, but I'm not sure what - I feel a bit clueless. I don't really understand what the different appointments/tests/scans are for and what happens at each of them. And what is Harmony all about, and should I have it?

Good luck to the rest of you who have scans/appointments coming up, and congrats to those of you who've already had positive results. Thinking of those of you who are going through tough times.

julfin · 29/12/2015 23:52

Ps scase I'm on 4th - I'll be 12 weeks to the day.

CultureSucksDownWords · 29/12/2015 23:52

julfin have you had your booking in appointment yet and got your maternity notes?

julfin · 30/12/2015 00:16

Culture - no I've only had a GP appt where I told her I was pregnant and got referred. The GP was helpful but we pretty much just covered the basics eg general health, what not to eat etc. Tomorrow is my first proper appt which I think is the booking in...? So I have no notes except whatever the GP might have sent to the hospital with the referral.

CultureSucksDownWords · 30/12/2015 00:42

The booking in appt is very long and the midwife will ask you loads of questions. Then they'll give you your maternity notes, and usually in those notes is a list of appointments, with timings and a brief explanation. If it's anything like mine, you'll also get a shed load of leaflets that cover loads of stuff as well. You can always ask the midwife to explain the appointment schedule to you, I think they'll probably explain it fairly well if it's your first pregnancy. And they should also explain the 12 week scan and test to you as well, as that's coming up soon.

julfin · 30/12/2015 01:33

Thanks Culture, that's reassuring!

mascaraisamust · 30/12/2015 08:26

All the best to those with scans!

Seems like it's the week for spotting, mine was just the once that I went to the loo and was very light brown. Nothing since but I feel the same way Scase! Scan isn't until the 12th (better than the 24th but hey)! Just under two weeks of waiting!

Julfin, mention the red spotting to your midwife, they might refer you for an early scan.

pulpi · 30/12/2015 09:26

Hello again ladies! Back in Scotland after 24 hours of travel. Absolutely shattered. The nausea was pretty awful, but I'm not sure if it was because of the traveling or hormones.. or both!

I'm rather confused as to why the nausea has waited until week 9 and 10 to make it's appearance. Anyone else experiencing this late appearing symptom?

Am 10+1 today and so excited for my booking appointment on 11 Jan and scan on 14 Jan. A little over 2 weeks!

redstrawberries101 · 30/12/2015 09:50

Welcome back pulpi!

mascaraisamust · 30/12/2015 10:07

Pulpi I'm 10+4 today and I've had the worst nausea, started at 10 weeks. My app says this may be the worst week too. I've only actually been sick twice though (in public, not nice)! Find I've got to eat past it, which is hard! Apart from this week I've had a bit of nausea but not been too bad!

Scase1firsttimemum · 30/12/2015 10:21

It was blood red, but as I said seemed to be from the outside of the pants rather than the inside, so not quite sure what happened! Ive had nothing since so Im not worried about it, I havent had any pains either so Im hoping all is well!

OP posts:
Cheery1 · 30/12/2015 11:17

Welcome back pulpi! Sorry to say I had worst nausea at 11 weeks - bleugh! It seems to have eased off though now. Apparently often the later it starts the shorter the time it lasts.

Cheery1 · 30/12/2015 11:21

julfin - the midwife will take you through every step during the booking in. Don't worry! Also they may well scan you, just to reassure you, if you've got a bit of spotting. Hope it goes ok x
