Good luck to ladies with scans tomorrow. Hoping to see some lovely scan pics! x

Pinseyboo38 · 20/12/2015 22:09

Good luck to everyone having scans tomorrow.
I've got my nhs scan on the 29th and even though I've already seen little one I'm still panicking over the next one. I suppose the anxiety never goes.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 20/12/2015 22:14

Gnat you have put into words exactly how I feel. Sick of running around doing everything. My DH is going out drinking all day tomorrow. I so can't be arsed to deal with his drunken annoyingness. I am nervous for my scan too it's just so dragged out. When is yours? Mines 30th. I just want to tell my children. I don't think the rest of the family will be overly excited with it being my fourth. Plus I'm expecting lots of "oh hopefully it's a girl this time". Did you like Star Wars? Have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I loved it.

Cheery that's a really sweet photo. Glad all is well.

MissClarke thinking of you and I really hope that all is well at your next scan. I think early scans are quite hit and miss and difficult to date.

Cookies I've got myself maternity pjs for the Christmas Eve box I can't wait to wear them.

I'm going to be buying just a few neutral sleep suits and bits for baby as we won't be finding out the sex. With my first two I bought blue. We were never told the sex as you couldn't find out where I used to live unless you paid private. I just knew. With ds3 we found out although I had a strong feeling it was another boy. So this time is going to be strange.

Good luck to all having scans today! We have decided that if all goes well in Wednesday we are going to tell our families on Christmas Eve. I think dd will be too distracted by presents on Christmas day so we are going to give each set of grandparents an early present. I can't wait to have it out in the open. Really nervous and excited for Wednesday now. Just got to distract myself as much as possible until then!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 21/12/2015 09:08

I've got flipping sciatica. I sometimes get it anyway, and I understand it's common in pregnancy (my mum said she had it badly when pregnant with me). But it bloody hurts! I've had it for a while now, but it's been getting worse. I went to a carol service last night and sat on a really awful uncomfortable rickety wooden chair, and that seems to have set it off!

Cheery1 · 21/12/2015 09:40

Thanks beautician - very relieved! Good luck with Drunken DH, I don't think I could cope with my OH being drunk at mo. So hormonal - I'd either cry or lose my temper!
loki - we told M&FIL last night but think we're holding off the rest of his family. I'm not ready for it to be public and his lot aren't the most discreet! There's bloomin loads of them and they all like to know everything - not ready for that scale of interference! Going to wait til after NHS scan I think. Good luck on Weds, excited for you!
pinsey - know exactly how you feel. Think it's understandable after mc - can't quite believe we saw our little one on Sat and all was well. Anyway, we've got to try to think positive Smile Is it your first too?

youandme - you poor thing, sciatica is awful! Can you see an oesteopath? Might that help? So rubbish for you x

Vikkijayne2507 · 21/12/2015 10:00

Been coughing like crazy and fter a very strong coughing fit trying to get all the crap outive got a very very painful left side in my pelvic area it doesnt hurt when im still but hurts like hell if i move a certain way, i can feel it now sitting im worried about ectopic jow or my coughing has caused damage i guess ill found out in an hour or do it hurts atm and paracetomol hasnt done anything, any ideas ladies

11 weeks

Loki17 · 21/12/2015 10:08

Vikki I think at 11 weeks you are passed the stage where it could be ectopic. At 11 weeks the baby is two inches long which is much bigger than your fallopian tube. It is much more likely that you have pulled something. Try not to worry. I stood up quickly the other day and felt a really sharp pain but I know from my first pregnancy it is normal x

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 21/12/2015 10:09

Vikki I've had pains from coughing. Last night in bed it felt like my sides were really pulling whenever I turned over in bed. A stretching/pulling pain all the way from my hip to my bits.

Welcome Sasha!

I have occasionally had sweating as part of my morning sickness, and a wave of sweating and nausea sounds familiar to me. I think it's probably normal. Did you have dizziness too?

I've got a 2 year old too, and it has been really hard juggling sickness with entertaining a toddler.

Lots of hands to hold here. Fingers crossed it sounds very positive at the moment.

I'm just coming out of morning sickness I think/hope(!). 12wks today. My scan is tomorrow morning so I'm nervous about that.

I haven't been keeping up with the thread very well - it moves too fast! But I hope everyone is doing ok. Looking forward to seeing some more scan pics over the next few weeks.

Woodsy81 · 21/12/2015 11:33

Good luck to everyone who has scans today. I have my 12 week scan tomorrow afternoon.

Hi Sasha. You'll get lots of support from this group. Its been great to have somewhere to chat/ask questions/vent in these early weeks.

I think I read a couple of days ago that some of you were experiencing sharp pains in your bladder or there abouts. I have started to get the same. I am 90% sure its not a UTI as I get them quite frequently and it doesn't feel the same. The pain isn't there when I pee and I can go to loo normally without discomfort. Its just sharp pain/discomfort every now and then. I am wondering if its just pressure from somewhere. Is anyone else still getting the pains or seen a GP about them yet?

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 21/12/2015 12:00

I've just realised that I'm 13 weeks today and so now officially into the second trimester! Exciting.

AndersArms · 21/12/2015 13:22

Hi everyone. Need to catch up but the thread is moving fast!

Had an early scan this morning and saw a heartbeat so that was good. Scan put me 2 weeks behind my dates - so 9+3 not 11+3. Have NHS scan on 31st so hopefully will work out definite dates then. Am trying not to be disheartened - second trimester further away than I expected which does nothing for anxiety.

Although what was lovely was that DD came with me as she isn't in school and was v excited when she realised what was in my tummy! Told her it was a big secret but at 4 she doesn't quite get it and has so far told my sister (who knew), the lady in the shoe shop and the bus driver...

foobio · 21/12/2015 13:24

Hi everyone, sorry I've been so busy I haven't RTFT for a long time, but I know everyone likes a scan photo, so here's mine. Very seamless process, but make sure you tuck the tissue in your trousers properly or you get very gloopy jeans from the gel (oops!). Hope everyone is well and good luck for those with scans soon!
12+0, now due 4th July

Hi sasha! Welcome - always a hand hold here. As my GP keeps chirping at me (had late mc in April) "Think Positive!" X

Cheery1 · 21/12/2015 13:29

Lovely pic foo! X

Cheery1 · 21/12/2015 13:35

youandme - hooray!!!

anders - that is so sweet that DD is so excited. Bless her!

woodsy - could be part of the general aches and pains....can you call your midwife if you're worried? The hospital I'm booked into has a helpline which has a lovely midwife on call to reassure. Check your hospital's website maybe? Hope you feel better.

Kaytee1987 · 21/12/2015 13:36

Sasha welcome to the thread :)
On Friday afternoon I was sick 4 times and was covered in sweat and shaking by the end of it :( not pleasant but probably normal.
Was only sick twice on Saturday but feel like I'm at the brink of throwing up all day everyday. Praying for the sickness to end at 12 weeks.

Cheery1 · 21/12/2015 13:49

Kaytee you poor thing. Really hope you feel a bit better soon x

Kaytee1987 · 21/12/2015 14:45

Thanks cheery, DH got in at 7am from a clubbing night out on Saturday night / Sunday morning then complained about feeling sick with his hangover all day. He's usually quite good so I restrained myself to a sarcastic "oh that's such a shame you're feeling sick" Grin tbf he had the good grace to look embarrassed while we both lay on separate couches, sick buckets beside us.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 21/12/2015 15:01

Eh I feel really sick today. I have had very mild nausea throughout but I have had to stand over the toilet a few times today as feel like I'm going to vomit but haven't. I'm 11+4 I thought I had escaped sickness. Please tell me it can't be starting now Sad

Woodsy81 · 21/12/2015 15:09

Beautician, I was the same last week (week 11-12). Felt really sick most of the week especially when hungry, gagging in the morning especially when I brush my teeth for some reason. I was so worried that sickness may just have arrived late for me but I am feeling much better this week though still feel like throwing up when I brush my teeth (strange). Hopefully it will pass for you too.

redstrawberries101 · 21/12/2015 15:11

Youandme I check how many days I am several times a day! Wish I could be as relaxed as you to just realise
I'm 13 weeks :( lol

Had to change my scan from the 6th Jan to the 8th as DH been invited to an assessment day for
A job he applied
For.
