Hi everyone haven't posted in a while, it's been super busy at work so feeling very tired most days. Had booking appt on Monday with a lovely midwife. Unfortunately I've had more spotting this week and had another scan this morning to reassure myself. Everything fine though nurse saw blood below the sack so could explain the spotting. I think spotting is going to be "normal" for me but still quite worrying! Anyhow, I've attached scan pic. Baby is doing a headstand which really made me laugh and nurse too.

Pulpi - are you drinking enough fluids? I've had awful headaches recently and was told I'm too dehydrated.

Hope everyone is doing ok, love seeing all the scans more please! Oh and roll on Christmas!

P.s. pulpi you poor thing! Sounds awful! It's a roller coaster this pregnancy lark! X

Ellizardo · 09/12/2015 14:19

Jem - wonderful scan pic! that's a proper baby looking baby! Glad you're being reassured. Fingers crossed you'll feel less nerve-wracked after the 12 week mark. I know I'm looking forward to that too.

Jem01 · 09/12/2015 14:21

Thanks cheery and Ellizardo! :-) I'm literally counting the days until 12 weeks think it's been a difficult few weeks for a lot of us. I'm hoping 2nd trimester gets easier?!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 09/12/2015 14:46

I'm feeling rubbish today - totally exhausted. Called in sick as just couldn't face work and have been mostly asleep all day.

I can't wait to get the scan over with - it's a week on Friday. I've been having some cramps but the midwife was confident that they are just stretching pains and not anything sinister.

Cookiesandcoffee · 09/12/2015 14:51

jem that's an amazing scan photo for 9 weeks! A real life baby! Hope it's given you lots of reassurance. Do you have a 12 week scan date to concentrate on?
I feel like I've been run over by a bus today. I think its because I jinxed it yesterday but saying I had more energy again.

Has anyone in the south ever had a scan with 'window to the womb' ? (Or if they do them in other parts of the country?)
They do gender scans cheaper than Babybond (who I've used before) and was going to ask for one for Xmas as there's nothing I really want.

Good to hear from you sonia and glad to hear you're feeling a little better. Come on 2nd trimester !

Sorry to hear of those in the London area who are not getting appointments etc. Sounds like you're handling it better than I would. Sorry I have no advice to offer.

cheery I really hope you feel better soon. Stupid immune systems. I have no glow. In fact I look positively awful and greasy.

Love your head standing baby jem!

Loki17 · 09/12/2015 16:13

Lovely scan pic Jem! I'm still feeling very sick and exhausted. Also getting tension headaches. As long as the baby is ok uts worth it. Two weeks until we have our early scan. 8+5 today.

beckslovestimmy · 09/12/2015 16:32

Wow Jem what a picture! Amazing. Making me impatient for my scan next week!!

mascaraisamust · 09/12/2015 16:49

Ah what a fab scan pic Jem! Early scan for me is a week tomorrow... Keeping myself busy until then!! Booking in appointment Saturday. 7+4 and still feeling all too well Confused

XL · 09/12/2015 17:34

Hello everyone! Until my 12/40 scan my EDD is 23/7/16 although I have to have an elcs so will definitely be sooner! I'm 7+4 atm... Seen the GP and am due my booking appt with the madwife 30th Dec have my scan booked for 8th Jan! Exciting but terrifying!

redstrawberries101 · 09/12/2015 17:37

Jem that picture is amazing!!! Makes it all seem real! I had my booking in appt yesterday, it went well. I'll be under the care of a consultant given my medical history so will see him at 16 weeks unless he wants to see my earlier. Really struggling with the tiredness these last few days.

The midwife said I should go by 8 weeks opposed to 7+3 which is what I would be according to the early scan. She said they aren't very accurate and it'll be adjusted at 12 week scan anyway. Everyday is a milestone so I'm so pleased lol! But seems a long way to wait yet...

Sorry ladies, only just found this thread.
I am 9 weeks, first child.
Currently been signed off work with HG, on cyclizine.
I have had first midwife appointment just waiting for first scan letter/date etc.
Midwife gave me the 9th July as date

Kaytee1987 · 09/12/2015 19:28

Hello bluemoon, sorry to hear you're so ill, I hope it eases up for you. Here's me moaning most days about how tired I am. My booking in appointment is next week, having private scan 22nd then dating scan 13th January. Can't wait for the scan, been so anxious!

mascaraisamust · 09/12/2015 19:39

Mel I imagine they'll push me to LMP then so I'd be 8+3! Even though I'm sure I am 7+4. Either way I'm nearly past where I mc last time x

mascaraisamust · 09/12/2015 19:42

Kaytee that's great you have your dating scan, so wish I could be given mine. Another milestone date to work towards. Question, does the dating scan get sent off after the booking appointment? Or when you sign the paperwork at the doctors? Can you tell I'm impatient Hmm

beckslovestimmy · 09/12/2015 19:57

Hi blue moon I've got HG too and had it in my first pregnancy too. I had cyclizine the first time and am on prochlorperazine this time. It's utterly horrible isn't it. Hopefully when we get to 12-14 weeks it will start to improve when the placenta takes over the hormone production. I'm nearly 12 weeks now and am going to try and reduce the amount of meds I'm taking as they make me so so tired. hoping things improve for you soon Thanks

crazycatlady39 · 09/12/2015 20:23

Thanks Ellizardo I have read about that place. Am 39 and it's my first so was thinking it could make sense to do the other scans so that's good to know. I will give my hospital a call tomorrow to try and chase up on things. jem amazing pic - that's so cool!

Kaytee1987 · 09/12/2015 21:58

Mascara I didn't sign any paperwork at my GPs. She weighed me and asked when my last period was and gave me number to call. Phoned up and was given booking in and dating scan appointment verbally that day then received them in the post a week later. What paperwork did you have to sign at the doctors? Xx

XL · 09/12/2015 22:17

Mascara when I went to gp he just weighed me asked when my lmp was and gave me an envelope with a green book and a signed form for free prescriptions. He said he'd refer me to antenatal and a couple of weeks later I had a scan appt thro the post and a letter from the community midwife with a date and time she'd be coming to my house!

XL · 09/12/2015 22:18

Hi melvali!! Xmas Smile

Kajamite · 09/12/2015 23:20

That's a great pic jem it put a smile on my face Grin

I had my booking appointment today and I've come away feeling really worried about my weight. I've lost 4st since July but still have a BMI of 35.5.

Eating well and exercise (what I can manage!) have become habit since I was trying to lose weight but the midwife I saw kept bringing it up despite me telling her that. I know she's right, it's just really frustrating because it's something I'm obviously really conscious about it anyway.

Sorry for the rambling Grin
