Is anyone else really struggling to sleep? I keep waking up to go the loo at 2-3am and it is then taking me over an hour to get back to sleep. It's awful.

Cheery1 · 27/11/2015 10:55

You and me - I find I'm getting up to go to the loo, and waking up really early then being tired all day. I think it might be another lovely pregnancy symptom!

Stinkilinky · 27/11/2015 11:16

Marking my place Smile

Went to the doctors yesterday and they've put me at 5+5.

Sickness has reared its ugly head this morning, not fun with a demanding 5 month osold!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 27/11/2015 11:19

I've not gone to work today and I have my toddler home. He's supposed to be at nursery but every time I stand I want to vomit or feel faint. I'm self employed but I don't think the owner of the hair salon that I rent off will be too happy with me. I may have to tell her sooner than I wanted.

8+1

lilygirl81 · 27/11/2015 11:23

I've got a question for you all. For at least 2 years, my cycles were pretty much exactly 28 days. Then things have been a bit mucked up with chemical pregnancies and mc, and averaged about 31 days. So, do I tell the midwife my cycles were 28, or the 31? Not sure it makes a difference as I am certain we conceived on 5 November which puts me at 5+1, but I'm curious

Fourormore · 27/11/2015 11:39

I told my midwife last time that my cycle was way out but she didn't really care. They go from the dating scan usually anyway.

SoniaShoe · 27/11/2015 11:40

oh no beautician i hope you're ok. get yourself on the sofa with the tv on and lots of toys for your toddler and have a relaxed day, it sounds like you need it. make sure you eat and drink as much as you can too.

not sure lilygirl but i think you could base it on 28 days. that's what i'd go for

SoniaShoe · 27/11/2015 11:40

yes that's true, loads of our no of weeks and due dates that we have now will change when we have our 12 week scans anyway.

Kaytee1987 · 27/11/2015 11:46

Quick survey - when did you all get your bfps? My friend is ttc, she took a test when she was 3 days late and it was negative, she's now a week late. Shes usually like clockwork - I so hope she's pregnant xx

pulpi · 27/11/2015 12:24

Kaytee, I got mine on the day I was due.

Beautician - i hope you feel better soon!

Am 5+3 today. I've been eating very healthy since just before falling pregnant (lots of fruit/veg, no sugar, proteins with every meal, a litre of water a day, and snacks of walnuts, almonds, and apricots)... But now I'm so very bloated! Had to break out the fat pants today. Any debloating tricks ladies?

Pregasaurusrex · 27/11/2015 12:29

Hi ladies- been so busy with work not managed to keep up on here. Have been signed of work for two weeks- actually only taking two days. A decision I am already regretting. Went to the Dr on Tursday- who found ketones (?) in my urine. Not sure what that means to be honest! And 7 + 3 today and have had to change midwives due to the one I was refered to, being attached to my place of work. I seriously feel like I am failing at this pregnancy lark!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 27/11/2015 12:30

I got my BFP really early Kaytee - it was only 10dpo, so about 5 days before my period was due. I was getting a positive on a digital test two days before I was due.

Stinkilinky · 27/11/2015 12:33

Got my booking in appt booked for the 17th Dec.

The receptionist told me I'm going to have a tough time with two babies so close in age, as if I wasn't full aware of that. Starting to get fed up of the comments now.

Pregasaurusrex · 27/11/2015 12:43

To be honest- will all the hormones etc. Comments like that, would make me fuming!

Pregasaurusrex · 27/11/2015 12:44

Although I have a friend, who I suspect is jealous of my pregnancy, sending me updates on all the poor ladies she knows that have had a miscarriage. Am I alone in thinking that this is an odd thing to say to a first time pregnant lady?

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 27/11/2015 12:47

Thank you Sonia & Pulpi
I've just eaten scrambled egg and spaghetti hoops( no bread) as I feel I need something in my tummy.

Stink what's the age gap. I have 17 months between my first two and I've always loved it.

jemimahpuddleduck · 27/11/2015 12:48

This time around I found out at 5+2 it was a very dark line but i hadn't even thought to test earlier (happy surprise)

With DD i found out super early using a first response which was about 9DPO so about 6 days before period due.

To add another experience though my period before BFP was 6 days late which was unusual and tests kept saying negative, period came the next day.

Stinkilinky · 27/11/2015 12:55

pregasaurus that is a really off thing to do. I can't fathom why she would do that?

beaut There will be 13 months between them, providing this LO doesn't make an early appearance!

redstrawberries101 · 27/11/2015 13:16

Morning all

Afternoon I should say!

I've had some more bleeding. Quite dark brown. Not sure what to do. Phone EPU or monitor it? I had this between 5-6 weeks also and had a scan a week ago today. They had put it down to implantation bleeding but did say it should settle. Not had any since Monday so thought it was settling down :(

I don't really want to ask for any more time off work as I took time out last week twice to go to EPU. I don't want to tell work yet. Literally half an hour ago my manager asked if I had eaten and I said I felt a bit sick, and she said oh is there any news! I immediately replied no. She has asked me a few times over the last couple of months.

6+4

Woodsy81 · 27/11/2015 13:21

Mel, if it's not to much bleeding, I would phone EPU for some advice. Hope your ok. x

redstrawberries101 · 27/11/2015 13:22

I'm just wondering if a scan would be useful at 6+5, do you think they could pick
Up a heartbeat on an abdominal ultrasound ?

Stickyjellybean · 27/11/2015 13:26

Hi,
New here, first time posting. I'm due July 2016 too, currently 8 (or 9) weeks, not really sure until we have dating scan. Can't wait to hear a heartbeat and know everything's ok.
It's exciting but nerve wracking too!

redstrawberries101 · 27/11/2015 13:26

I don't want to waste EPU time
Either, there wasn't that much blood but it looked like a clot had passed when I got up but there was no pain?

Pregasaurusrex · 27/11/2015 13:27

Stinkilinky- I'm really not sure either. Especially because she had one, before her son was born. Six years ago- so by no means a life time. I was a bit shocked and didn't reply to the message as I had no idea what to say!
I wanted to say, erm- your poor friend probably wouldn't want you telling random people. Also, thank you for bringing the worry to the forefront of my mind!

Pregasaurusrex · 27/11/2015 13:28

Melvali- I wouldn't worry about wasting time. I would go if I felt I needed support. Hope you are ok.
