I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

lily and ellie I've been trying so hard not to let my organising kick into overdrive too! It all sounds so exciting and if it makes you happy :) i lie awake in bed for hours ( despite feeling so tired allll day!) thinking through different combinations for DCs bedrooms and all sorts. I've even ordered DD2 a new bed today so this little seed can have her cot... Then I worry I don't know where the car seat adaptors are or if I got rid of the baby monitors... It goes on! I'm wide awake yet again and it's driving me insane!!!

dollydaydream84 · 10/11/2015 23:24

jade one thing to remember is that no one will think you are being over dramatic. I had reduced movements and felt dramatic ringing the midwife, she was so reassuring and everything was fine. This is a story repeated by many pregnant women, if you are ever concerned, never be worried about contacting someone as no one would (or should) treat you like that. Hope all is just fine for you tomorrow, ps yes a lifetime of worry :)

Loki17 · 11/11/2015 06:21

Thinking of you, Jade. Glad you got through to out of hours. Flowers

jemimahpuddleduck · 11/11/2015 06:47

Thinking of you too Jade, I hope all is well this morning.

redstrawberries101 · 11/11/2015 08:12

Jade - all the best! Please keep us posted!

Ellie jay jay happy late birthday!

My dilemma today is that hubby wants to tell his mum which I'm fine with but I don't particularly want his sisters knowing yet. Problem is that one of his sisters is always with his mum so it's impossible to get mum on her own. It's motherinlaw Birthday tomorrow and we decided it would be a nice time to tell her ( she will be 75 ). Sis inlaw will most definitely be present too.

Now I want to back track and say I really don't want his sisters knowing yet, as she will tell the other sisters too and my relationship hasn't been great with them. Hubby and I already had a little tiff last night because I said to him once he tells his mum then we need to be prepared for the interfering and I don't have much patience at the moment. I just feel it's a bit early , I'm only 4 weeks and 3 days yet. Hubby is super excited and because his mum is in really poor health and has been in and out of Hosp all year, he wants to tell her ASAP, preferably before she is in hospital again as he said he would feel guilty then.

Maybe I should just let it be now rather than causing another argument I 'm suprised at myself, now I feel like just keeping it a secret and enjoying it until at least midwife appt on 8th December and scan on 6 Jan.

Bloody inlaws!!!!!!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 11/11/2015 08:21

Jade hope the bleeding has settled and that you get some reassurance this morning.

Melvali that's why I don't want my MIL to know yet as I'm worried about everyone finding out. MIL has stage 4 cancer and last week had to have a scan as they are worried about something else now. DH has said if it's bad news he wants to tell her but I think that telling her may make her worse and sadder as she may worry how well or not she will be when the baby arrives. I just want to tell everyone after the scan.

Having said that I almost told my childminder yesterday as she's a friend and I feel like if I don't tell someone I might burst.

DH and I had an argument last night. I'm so incredibly grumpy. But he is driving me mad worrying about money already. Telling me I can't buy Christmas presents etc. My business is quite new and taking a while to build but he makes no allowances. Aargh.

JadeT2 · 11/11/2015 08:24

Unfortunately it's not looking good. They did my bloods last night to check my hcg to see if it was high enough for an ultrasound, and they were only 280. Although there is a slight chance it will be okay, I know that's really low considering I should be 5-6 weeks along. They're repeating the tests in two days to see if it doubles but I don't believe it will. Oh well.

CultureSucksDownWords · 11/11/2015 08:36

Oh, so sorry to hear that Jade. Thanks

Jade I'm so sorry to hear that but there is still hope until they confirm. Is the bleeding quite heavy?

Bluebell20 · 11/11/2015 09:02

Jade, I'm so sorry. I hope someone is looking after you.

Melvali, that's quite a tough situation. I think you have made the right decision in sharing with your MIL tomorrow, given the circumstances. If the sisters are pains in the neck, would it be possible to gently remind them that your body will find it much more difficult to deal with pregnancy? It seems awful to me that after you have suffered so much, they would be so dismissive of what you have gone / are going through. You never know, though - perhaps with their mother being ill now, they might have a little more empathy and understanding?

Beautician, you also have quite the dilemma. Are you dead set against telling MIL? Perhaps, given the situation, if it's what your DH wants, he should make that call about whether or not to say anything? Hopefully he would be a good judge of what his mother can / can't cope with?

Loki, can't remember if I said before, but I love the calendar idea. So sweet! And I think it's lovely that you are so determined that your daughter will be the first to know. What a lovely mum you must be :)

lilydaisyrose · 11/11/2015 09:08

Jade - I'm crossing my fingers for you.

I had a small smear of brown stringy old blood when I wiped last night, but am not worried - nothing since and all feels fine. I feel really pregnant so am staying positive. Felt like a tiny body getting rid of old matter. Did another test this morning with FMU - strong + - CB not-digital.

Felt a bit nauseous this morning when making the packed lunches and constantly not feeling 100%. I have a big drive ahead of me this morning so am hoping my bladder holds. I'm going to have my preg vitamin with my breakfast (which I'll have at 10am when I get to work) this morning as I think having it on an empty tummy was one of the reason I felt so pukey and retchy yesterday morning. I found out today that a school Mum acquaintance is pregnant - due end March - I wanted to shout out "me too"!

I hope you all have a good day!

Thanks, Bluebell! That is really sweet of you to say. Smile

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 11/11/2015 10:05

Really sorry to hear your news *Jade.

I've* just had a panic because I thought I was throwing up blood. Then remembered I'd had some blackcurrant squash...

NicolaM84 · 11/11/2015 10:05

hello everyone, me & hubby found out on Saturday that we're expecting! It is planned but still a shock as we got caught 1st month of trying and expected to at least take a few months. We've been married just over 3 years.
According to my period tracker app, I'm currently 4+5 so still very early days & hubby is convinced something is going to go wrong but I'm feeling positive so far.
Sorry to hear about your rough time Jade, hoping things turn out ok for you

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 11/11/2015 10:19

Jade I hope things work out for you. Fingers crossed.

Melvali wow you have been through it. I would probably tell your MIL. I would also tell the sisters a little white lie that the doctors have said to take it extra easy due to what your body has been through and that your body will feel it more than the average person. Let's be honest it's not even really a lie and is probably what the midwife will say to you anyway. Wishing you a fully uneventful 9 months.

Bluebell yes I think I will leave DH to make that call. I just worry as his mum is very fragile. Her diagnosis was such a huge shock to her and us all. However, on a positive note since her diagnosis she has seen two of her three children married.

Lily hope you get through the drive ok.

Nicola hi & Congratulations. Wow there are quite a few of us now. I'll bump the stats list to the top for any new comers to add themselves but also because I want to see how many of us there are.

Jade I'm so sorry to hear that, sending you big big hugs xx I hope you have someone with you as I don't think you should be on your own xx

Mel I told my mum as I had to tell someone, plus she's my mum and was coming to celebrate my birthday and would have guessed as since the week before I'd been talking about champagne etc etc - since then I've pretty much told anyone I can who doesn't know me lol I can't keep it in :D waiting for mum at M&S outside the changing room told the assistant, restaurants are great as you "have" to tell them - I digress sorry I said to DP did he want to tell his parents and he wants to wait until 12 weeks which I think is great (big relief) as whilst this will be their 5th DGC I think they will be "involved" but I think all in laws have an opinion - my lovely mother had opinions but I can just give her a look and know she will still love me in the morning lol...

Hi Nicola - few of us here have been caught on a first try! Me included was convinced it wouldn't happy for us straight away but it did - could not be happier :) could have done with a few months from a job perspective but im very happy :)

Thanks for welcoming me, nice to have people to talk to in the same situation. I find it really difficult people not knowing although we did tell my parents at the weekend as we went for a family meal & they couldn't understand why I wasn't drinking Smile

Sorry I don't know how to add my stats but they are:
NicolaM84 - 31 - South Yorkshire - Due 15th July

As this is my first I'm unsure of the procedure but I rang my GP a few days ago & they referred me to the midwife but not heard anything since, when do you expect to find out your appointment?

redstrawberries101 · 11/11/2015 10:41

Bluebell thanks for your kind words :)

Youandme - your story cracked me up lol!! Black currant squash all the way..

Nicola- congratulations!! We just found out on Sunday and like you didn't expect it to happen so quickly.

Beuatician not magician- thank you for your advice also. Yes I think I will tell that white lie. I really hope they don't make negative comments or I might just blow my top.

Elliejayjay - perhaps your right, if our mums say anything we don't mind but when it's the inlaws it comes to bite us !!!

I don't think I'll say anything to hubby now. Just let him have his moment and enjoy telling his mum.

Anyone from Edinburgh on here??

I phoned my docs who gave me a number for midwife service.

They booked me in straight away for appt in Dec and scan in Jan. I'll be 8 weeks at the first appt. I wish they could confirm the pregnancy although I did do two home tests and I've not had my period!
