I've no idea how you'll get 4 children in a pinto Beautiful, but if it's knocking going round corners then it's not terminal (I had an old banger that did it for about 10 years, can't remember what the problem is called though). My fiesta currently has part of the exhaust detaching itself. It's not at all safe and DH has practically banned me from putting 2 children in it. But it'll do for now!

I know lots of people who've had Zafiras, not heard any grumbles.

Welcome Sunny! Exciting on the movement front!

I've got the Glow Nurture app, and it has this timelapse photo function. I've just taken a pic at 15+4 and HOLY MOTHER OF MONKEYS I'm enormous. And didn't appreciate my tiny pre-pregnancy self. I think I'm as wide front to back as I am side to side now.

I've always been slim (sorry, it's genetic, I do apologise) and last time the changing shape of pregnancy weirded me out. But I didn't take pictures. I thought it'd be a nice thing to do this time (last pregnancy) and it's TERRIFYING! Don't get me wrong, I'm full of gratitude and wonder at my body. But woah. Last pregnancy I was at 15 weeks what I looked like this pregnancy at 8 weeks.

Ah well. I've already decided it's a pasty day.

welcome Sunny! We're due date buddies. Hope your pregnancy is going well so far. I'd completely forgotten I was 18 weeks tomorrow too!

Thanks for sympathy Paper, still feeling pants but today it's progressed to having almost no voice, great. Not been helped by DS crying to watch Peppa Pig for 45 minutes as soon as we got up (which could have been easily solved by putting it on but I refuse to give in to him behaving like that) In the end I sat him in the living room by himself while I ate breakfast as I couldn't bear listening to it any longer! Mean mummy!

With regard to clothes I did look in JoJo Maman yesterday but couldn't bring myself to spend £15 on one sleep suit!) although they were very cute. Dobby, loving the tie dye ones on that site, proper rainbow colours! Yesterday I was looking in H&M, M&S etc and their range of neutrals was rubbish. with DS we bought most of his sleep suits and vests from the supermarkets and they do seem to have a better range. Wanted to get something a bit more 'special' for this first outfit...may go look in TK Maxx today as got some good bits in there for DS.

Pretty much everyone I know knows I'm pregnant. All friends and family knew back in July and all close work colleagues I told at 14 weeks-ish. There are still a number of volunteers I work with who don't know, they must think I've really let myself go! Still not feeling any more movement, with Ds it started this week, but I do have a fair amount more tummy flab than when pregnant with him!

BeautifulLiar · 04/10/2015 11:06

Welcome Sunny!

Thanks Q. He said we may as well go to WeBuyAnyCar as they pay more!! But it was still well under what I was expecting.

4 kids will definitely fit in a punto (I have pretty small kids!) But obviously 6 people won't! But then DH works away a lot and DS is with his grandma almost every Saturday so we're not all together very often. Aaggghh I don't know.

I'm 17+5 and haven't officially felt the baby move :( hurry up Mrs!

MyNameIsSuz · 04/10/2015 15:56

I think I've felt mine move, but am having a wobble today as I just don't feel as pregnant. When I'm slouching back on the sofa, I've recently felt pressure on my back, but today it feels fine. My boobs feel less weighty too. I think it's the previous mmc making me paranoid but I have been pretty good so far, just have a bad feeling today. Someone slap me!

marmitemofo · 04/10/2015 16:11

suz, am sure everything is fine! It'll be nice when we're all regularly feeling movement and know what's going on! Having said that, I remember with DD having a proper freak out at 37 weeks that I couldn't feel movement anymore, was properly in tears and everything. Obviously was just all in my head Confused

Today (17+5) I've really started feeling the baby move, at long last! DPs DB having his baby last night has really made it real that were going to have a little one in 5 months! And now I feel hugely impatient! Over my little wobble of this morning which I am putting down to crazy pregnancy hormones.

I can't believe one sleep suit in Jojo is £15 Shock I didn't buy anything from there with DD but people did buy us presents from there which we were hugely grateful for.. Its always nice when people buy things for you that you wouldn't buy yourself! I actually generally do the same when buying for other peoples babies as I think its nice to receive really nice things you wouldn't buy yourself.

At home at last after a long day visiting family in Bristol. DD has a terrible cold so we're all sat on the sofa reading books and cuddling together (well, ok I'm on mumsnet haha). It's so nice to just be at home with my own little family Grin

Trinpy · 04/10/2015 17:20

Aw suz I can understand why you're worrying after your mmc, but you know the chances are that everything is absolutely fine.

Welcome sunny and congratulations! When are you planning on telling work?

That thing about how you're only dbreeding! That's the exactly the reason I haven't told anyone. I feel a bit silly announcing 'I'm pregnant' to everyone. I've already decided that when I tell work I'm only going to tell my manager and the biggest gossip, then sit back and let word spread.

Also I work very closely with the people in the fmau and they are all lovely. I've never heard any horror stories involving the treatment they give.

magpiedreams · 04/10/2015 18:15

Woah, so much going on here, just checking in and waving hello.

So pleased to hear a few others are not fussed about telling folk. "I'm only breeding". Love it! I just told my parents this weekend, who were not impressed. Which didn't surprise me. They didn't say so but it was pretty obvious. Not like we are independent, married, home-owning adult professionals or anything! Confused. Not told DC yet either, but annoyingly DH let it slip when telling my brother when they were there! Wtf was he thinking? Then had to cover it up and pretend they'd misheard and move on. Anyway, after all that totally CBA telling anyone else now! Not got a bump really yet shouldn't be too difficult to hide a bit longer!

How did the car negotiations go?

On the subject of jojo, their clothes are amazing and wash and wash, so if investing for potential future DC you will get good value. Their BFing tops/dresses are great too, I lived in them last 2 times and plan to again. Sign up to their mailing lust and you get discount codes etc through occasionally.

MyNameIsSuz · 04/10/2015 18:43

Thanks guys, I know it's irrational! My scan on the 20th cannot come soon enough. Only just over two weeks to go!

Trinpy, I did similar, just told my manager and sent an email to the three girls I sit with, and let the workplace rumour mill do it's job! I've told pretty much everyone, and it's a bit obvious now. A friend who I haven't seen for a while spotted it instantly last week. Dh insisted on Facebooking it so everyone we both know knows, I've told all the friends I've seen, think that's everyone!

Missdee2014 · 04/10/2015 23:47

What stage is normal to feel movement? This is DC3 for me so really I should know!! I'm sure I felt flutters about 15/16 weeks with both my previous pregnancies but I'm 17+1 and still not felt a thing this time. I know I'm probably being paranoid but would be nice to hear from others in 2nd and subsequent pregnancies who haven't felt anything yet at this stage.

purplecat27 · 05/10/2015 00:02

Thanks Marmite, you just saved me £15 on the Angelcare monitor I planned to buy, and just in time too! Smile

RhubarbAndMustard · 05/10/2015 07:18

Misdee this baby 2 for me and I've still not felt anything definite at 17+4. Hoping any day now though.

BeautifulLiar · 05/10/2015 07:41

Misdee I'm 17+6 with baby no. 4 but haven't felt her move yet. I do have an anterior placenta though.

marmitemofo · 05/10/2015 10:34

Misdee I'm 17+6 with baby 2, and I've only just started feeling movement (basically over this weekend). I think there is a lot of variation in when you feel movement.

Anyone else still suffering from pregnancy insomnia? Mine seems to have gotten worse - struggling to get to sleep at night, and waking up around 3am and tossing and turning until DD wakes me up at whatever god awful time she decides to wake up... really can't be arsed with work today. Also, seeing DP's DB's baby photo yesterday has suddenly woken up the 'I want my baby now!' urge haha. I've been pretty relaxed about the whole thing so far, happy to wait till March, not feeling too impatient etc. Now suddenly I'm inwardly moaning about everything - why do I have to go work? why is my baby not here now? etc etc. haha. it's going to be a long 5 months....

MyNameIsSuz · 05/10/2015 10:38

I am a bit marmite, no problem going to sleep but having crazy dreams which wake me up and leave me anxious in the night! Also waking up at 5ish needing a wee, which isn't early enough to go back to sleep really before my alarm goes off.

Thankfully I do a four day week and Monday is my day off, me and ds are still in our jamas watching the Gruffalo on the Xbox! We've had a really busy few weeks, and it's a horrible rainy day, so I'm just planning to hang out at home and do a few bits in town. Maybe I can even talk him into a nap later!

JoannaZZ · 05/10/2015 11:00

Wow, 5th page before I even manage to join this new thread!

marmite and suz I also struggle to sleep, mainly because of crazy super-vivid dreams! I've always had strange dreams but these last few nights they have been really intricate and feel very real so I drift in and out of sleep most of the night :(

I think I can feel movements (18+3 today) but I still haven't felt anything that I know 100% is the baby and not just gas or a muscle twitching. But I don't remember feeling this many things in my tummy before so I'm fairly sure it's the baby.

maybebabybee · 05/10/2015 11:10

Hi everyone, have found you all! Have been off the radar as have been on hols for 2 weeks.

17+6 today, have my 16 week appointment this evening, forgot all my maternity notes though so that's a great start!

Re: movement, I've had a couple of flutterings that I think were the baby but nothing I'm 100% sure of really. Who knows!

Hope everyone's well, have missed you all :)

Rosieblossom123 · 05/10/2015 13:24

Hello girls! Can't believe I'm in my 5th month now 18+1 today, 4 months to go Shock

Same here with pregnancy insomnia marmite I always wake up at 3am and keep tossing and turning and have to be up at 6 for work which is a killer :( to top it up my cat was booked in this morning to get spayed and the cheeky girl is in heat so i have to wait until Thursday so was up all night listening to her meowing while my poor male cat was fast asleep and couldn't be bother to react haha

Scan is on the 16th is coming round so quickly so nervous and excited, every time I feel down I listen to baby's heartbeat and it does really help me get through the day, the best £20 I've ever spent.

We decided since we're going to find out the sex there's no point looking for neutral clothes as they are very rare to find! We bought a few bits from Mothercare yesterday, they had mittens and hats for £1.50 and £2.50 really cute ones so I bough a bunch, just want to find out the sex so I could buy more :(

Still no movement yet a few flutters in the evenings but don't know if it's baby or what haha definitely starting to feel a lot of pressure when laying on my back, doesn't feel right so I'm always on my side which I'm not going to lie does get uncomfortable too.

Anyone get heart palpitation from time to time? It feels like I cant't breath and I have to sit down for a bit! midwife said it's normal but wanted to see if anyone else experiences it?

Me624 · 05/10/2015 16:03

Not sure about your maths Rosie, there's 5 full months to go isn't there? Less one day for me as my due date is the 4th!

Have you had your iron levels checked recently? Anaemia could explain breathlessness?

I'm so excited for the 20 week scan next week too (we are scan buddies)! I haven't bought anything at all yet but planning to go a bit crazy once the scan is out the way. I can't wait to start buying clothes, and we're going to find out too so I can buy gender specific ones, although I am going to try not to buy exclusively blue or pink!

Rosieblossom123 · 05/10/2015 16:13

Me oh my! My maths is bad isn't it haha I think I'm trying to be optimistic Blush

I had my iron levels checked and they were normal that's why I don't know why I keep feeling like this sometimes, I'll have to speak to my midwife again about it!

Yes our scan is round the corner, not long to wait now Grin yeah same it's easier when we find out it will make shopping much easier, even the bath support that I like is either in blue or pink haha

Missikat · 05/10/2015 16:50

Missdee, 18 weeks today and aside from two occasions two weeks ago that I thought were baby (but maybe wasn't) then nothing here movement wise. This is baby no. 2 for me too. Slightly worried but looking at everyone else it seems normal.

ffauxlivia · 05/10/2015 17:44

Hi ladies, so exciting that all the 20 week scans are coming up!!

Those who have had one can you explain what happens exactly? Mine's just been booked for 6th November and it's an hour - it is really, really thorough?

Just realized hubby will be away with work and will miss it, nothing really we can do as he's gone for almost 4 weeks so a scan before would be too early and after too late. Should I take a friend for hand holding? Really nervous!

Heard another strong heartbeat at my appt today (15.5 weeks) and shingles seems to be finally easing so looking forward to hopefully enjoying my second tri now!

Me624 · 05/10/2015 18:06

Oh shame your DH will miss the scan ffaux. Can't be helped though. Maybe you can book one of those private 4D ones when he's back? A friend of mine had one recently and it looks incredible!

This is my first DC so I'm not too sure about the scan but I was told it takes quite a bit longer than the 12 week one because they have so many bits to check and in quite a lot of detail. Mine isn't until 4.45pm next Friday (DH wanted the last appointment of the day) so I've got the whole day to get excited/nervous about it!

Poppins27 · 05/10/2015 18:22

Hello all, I've been really rubbish at keeping up to date lately!!

Rosie I have actually had similar palpitations and my midwife suggested speaking to the Dr about it. I saw him last week and booked in for an ECG tomorrow. Not concerned in the slightest, just a precaution. Google ectopic heartbeat and that's how it's been explained to me. Maybe double check with your GP for reassurance.

To all those discussing dreams, my worst was last night, I'd completely forgotten if had a baby and left it in my bed for 2 days and gone away...Confused

All very boring right now, 17+2 today and not felt anything definite?! Had my midwife appointment last week, they didn't even try to listen to a heart beat so still keeping everything crossed all is ok?! Scan dates 23rd Oct....it's going to be a long few weeks!!
