As for the GTT test there's nothing to worry about, I had to do it post booking in under the rude assumption I'm fat therefore I will have it.. You only have to fast from 10pm until 8:30 the following morning and then sit with a book for two hours.. Job done eat a sandwich go to work... My glucose was lower post glucose drink than pre drink but I'm repeating the experience at 27 weeks..

wow those are small babies beautiful aw they must have been tiny! but I think if you are naturally small it is pretty normal/makes sense for you to have small babies.

DD was 7 lb 9 so pretty average I think. DPs new niece was 8 lb something, so didn't sound like much different but when we saw her she looked huge compared to DD at the same age as she didn't lose much birth weight and has put on weight well so is already over 9 lb at two weeks old.

A friend of mine had a baby a couple of months after DD and he was an eyewatering 11 lb 5!!! She was induced and planning to give labour naturally, then all of a sudden the doctors/midwives freaked out about her giving birth to a large baby (she's obese so had growth scans throughout and they predicted a large baby) and suddenly decided she was going to have a c-section, and then the baby came out at 11 lb 5 and I think she thought she would have never managed to get him out naturally - though I have heard of people birthing 11 lb babies naturally so I guess it can be done. wouldn't want to go through with it myself though!

marmite Sil had a natural birth and her 2nd baby was around the 12lb mark, she has now said never again funnily enough ha.

It's crazy because neice is now almost 3 and she is tiny - so petite and still in 18month-2 year old clothes!

Oh god I can't imagine having a baby so big! DS was 10lb at 10 weeks!

My star wrap and some newborn sized pyjamas I bid on just arrived... sooo gorgeous!

Ooh can someone add me to the stats list please as I never made it on? I'm 30, in the South West and my official due date is 10th March (but will be induced at 38w so probably an end of Feb baby - don't kick me off though!). Will let you know which team we are tomorrow!

IS anyone having Braxton Hicks? I'm 18 weeks today and freaking out as feeling lots of pressure, dull aches and tightness very low in my abdomen - almost like I need to poo (sorry!!). It was strong for about 15 mins or so then went away, but is still a bit uncomfortable and jeavy feeling. I've had it on and off for a few days, was more to the left a couple of days ago so was;t sure if it was round ligament pain. Or does it sound like BH? or a UTI? Also having lower back tailbone pain but not sure if related as have had that on and off for a few days

Just so anxious as its my first time, and don't know when things are normal or when should go in!??? Called a couple of days ago when first had the pain and they said to come in by end of week if it wasn't better. It kind of comes and goes though!

Ffaux I think I get what you're describing and I put it down to ligament, or growing pains!

ffaux I had very similar to what you're describing about then. I went and got tested for uti, but it was clear and the feeling has died away now (am 21 weeks). I think always get it checked if you're worried...

Another one joining team pink!!!! All was fine, although it took some time to see her face.. We tried on my side, flipping my legs up and down and finally a walk around the car park...

Is anyone looking at the baby clothes thinking there's no way a person can fit into them?! I'm really paranoid I shrunk all of DD2's sleepsuits in the tumble dryer back when she was a baby cos they're SO small!

Err sainsburys.. I was actually on the phone to the office before going to get a coffee and DH appeared with them with them announcing that all the girls stuff is too girly!

I look at them and think if they are that small I'm sure I'm going to break them or drop them or something.. Then I remember birth and am glad the clothes look small!

Beautiful my SiL sent us a newborn sleepsuit in the post which I cooed over how small it is. Then MiL sent us a 3-6 month sleepsuit and I was staggered at the size difference. The arms & legs are soooo much longer!

Congrats vroc on your scan! Pink does seem to be winning at the moment.

All these stories of huge babies are scaring me! I looked at an online birth weight prediction thing which said that if my baby remains on the 26th centile for weight then he will come out about 7lb. That sounds just fine by me but I know that the 20 week scan measurements are not exactly a great indication of what he'll end up like!

I think I might have finally felt him move this afternoon! At 20+6. I felt a sort of very very gentle prod to the left of my belly button. So I prodded it back and then I felt it again, which is what makes me think it might have been him rather than a random stomach or bowel feeling! I hope so. Will be concentrating hard tonight to see if I can feel it again.

Well all was well with our scan despite my worrying. Baby was naughty and wouldnt get in the right place so I had to go for a walk and drink something sweet. But it's a boy! So happy as that was what I wanted :)

Those of you who've had your 20w scans, how long did it take in total what with the walking around/drinking/peeing/jiggling? My appt is at 8.30 and I've got another appt (with my consultant, same hospital) at 9.30 - should that be enough time?
