Congrats on all healthy scans :)

Not got mine til the 22nd, when I'll be 20+2 which feels quite late. Am I the only one feeling terrified and not excited at the thought of my scan? I don't think I've felt the baby move yet and I didn't get to listen to the heartbeat at my sixteen week appt so I just want to know all is well in there...

Rosieblossom123 · 08/10/2015 16:36

MyNameIs and maybe I'm quiet nervous I'm not going to lie but trying to be optimistic honestly my last scan I was a in a state and was so sure something will go wrong but squishy proved me wrong and I have it proves me wrong again!

maybe reg heartbeat I heart baby's one with the midwife and after I decided to buy a doppler seriously the best £30 spend I think that's what dp payed for it, it gives me such peace of mind, there's obviously the panic when you can't hear the heartbeat but I try to just be positive!

marmitemofo · 08/10/2015 16:52

congrats on successful scans Smile

I'm not feeling nervous about the 20 week scan really, I guess because I've heard the heartbeat at 16 weeks and having started to feel a bit of movement in the last week or so (the benefits of this being DC2 I guess!). But then I suddenly get panicked that maybe I am being a bit too blase and I should be concerned! I keep thinking of it as 'ooh lovely scan where I get to find out the gender' and forgetting that actually it is an important anomaly scan and stuff can go wrong Confused

TriJo · 08/10/2015 17:03

It's really lovely Beautiful :)

Baby bump...

Think I need to tidy up before I take another picture Smile

Love these bump pics. Here's mine - taken first thing this morning, so it's in 'compact mode' (unlike evening bloaty mode!).

It looks tiny in pics but looks huge from my perspective.

I cried at work for the 3rd day in a row. Was so anxious last night and this morning. The anxiety's not new, but the inability to rein it in is pg related I think. Fortunately, my good friend/colleague let me dump it all out on him with no judgement. He was such a diamond. I felt so much better after.

I really must get more sleep tonight. The tiredness is making it a million times worse.

Got my 16 week appt tomorrow. Thanks to those who've said I might need to ask to hear hb.

Congrats on all the scans and lovely bumps!

Has many people felt their baby move yet? I had my first kicks in the bath last night at 18+3 but they are very irregular.

TriJo · 08/10/2015 23:47

Felt flutters during the second half of the Ireland match this evening - not sure if gas or baby though because 16+4 on a first baby with an anterior placenta feels way too early.

MyNameIsSuz · 09/10/2015 06:38

I'm getting movement Just, quite often now and always in the same place so I'm now sure it's that and not gas! It's usually just after I've eaten, hopefully that means this one likes his food - would be nice to have one that grows nicely this time Smile

Me624 · 09/10/2015 07:30

Absolutely no movement here at 19+0. I will ask at my scan next week where my placenta is! Would be nice to know if it's at the front so I don't worry too much about not feeling anything yet. According to my app it is the size of a small courgette now, how can that not be big enough for me to be feeling it?!

QforCucumber · 09/10/2015 08:20

Nothing here at 18+1 now and again it makes me worry a little. Roll on scan day.

marmitemofo · 09/10/2015 08:21

me I think first time round there is a lot of variation in when you feel movement so I wouldn't be too concerned - I think I wasn't feeling movement with DD until 19/20 weeks.

Bought some maternity dungarees from JoJo maman bebe and they've arrived this morning... Far too massive! Not bump or body wise but in length, there's about six inches of dungaree leg trailing down the bottom! Didn't realise they were a tall person's brand Confused I'm short (5 ft 3) but not so short that I would expect them to be that big! They literally look giant sized. So disappointing as I was really looking forward to wearing them. Anybody found any decent non giant sized maternity dungarees they can recommend?

BeautifulLiar · 09/10/2015 08:28

I don't think I've felt movements either. But I had a dream last night that I could feel the baby loads, wad gutted it wasn't real! Although I did also dream that me and DH got served in Aldi by a hot blonde with her bum out, and she told DH she was allowed to serve people with a naked bum because it was really sore from too much anal Hmm what is wrong with my brain?!

maybebabybee · 09/10/2015 08:40

Don't really know if I've had movements or not, I've felt sort-of flutters a couple of times but very far apart and certainly not regularly. My scan report said my placenta is anterior though - does that mean I'll find movement harder to feel?

marmite I have a nice pair of Topshop maternity dungarees that I bought the other day. I'm also 5ft 3 and they're not too long for me. So annoying trying to find petite maternity trousers isn't it. Topshop also do a great pair of over the bump 'Joni' maternity jeans in petite leg sizes, although sadly they have run out of a size 12 30 leg for me...

MyNameIsSuz · 09/10/2015 08:56

Sorry to hear that marmite, so disappointing! Jojo is definitely a tall person brand, though I liked their wrap tops and nursing vests which were fine.

IndomitabIe · 09/10/2015 09:20

Morning, I'm waiting for my 16 week appointment. I'm massively early because I actually did the school run for the first time in my life, and decided to come straight here rather than go home for 5 minutes.

Just heard a baby crying from the delivery room! (After a tired-looking husband arrived)

My dungarees are from Just Maternity Jeans but they're quite long on me (5'8") so probably not ideal.

TriJo · 09/10/2015 09:21

I have relatively short legs for my height (5'5") - I tend to favour Gap jeans in general, maternity or not, regular leg in skinny jeans and petite in bootcut styles. Absolutely living in my maternity true skinny ones at the moment.

sherazade · 09/10/2015 09:34

Here's my bump last night
18+4 today
Excuse my manky pyjamas

Gingerlady123 · 09/10/2015 10:42

I'm 16+6 with first baby and have felt nothing yet. At a private scan at eleven weeks I got told placenta was anterior.
Had my 16 week app yesterday and heard the heartbeat which was nice. She said she may take a while to find it but the second she put the Doppler on their it was between 147-155 is wrote in my notes.
Private gender scan tomorrow. Nervous and excited. My bump is still not showing at all

ThePug · 09/10/2015 10:53

Good luck for tomorrow Ginger ! Based on heartrate, I'm going to guess girl - please come back and tell us once you know!

18+1 with my first and I thought yesterday morning I may have felt something and possibly just again now. Like a brief kind of 'rolling over' movement low down. Seriously can't wait until there are regular little (big!) kicks - I can only imagine how amazing that feels.

Rosieblossom123 · 09/10/2015 11:01

Same here, 18+5 today no movement yet but I keep feeling flutters in my belly every evening after dinner so don't know if it's baby or not :( My mum said she never felt anything until 20 weeks so fingers crossed that's the case for me!

Ginger good luck tomorrow :) keep us updated! 1 week today until I find out!!

Missikat · 09/10/2015 14:24

18+4 today, no movement yet, not even any flutters.

Good luck for tomorrow Ginger, can't wait to hear what flavour you've got.

Beautiful, your dream made me properly chuckle! Very funny! what is it that pregnancy hormones do to our brains?!

MyNameIsSuz · 09/10/2015 14:41

Rosie and Pug, that's definitely movement!

Rosieblossom123 · 09/10/2015 14:49

MyNameIs really? even though it always happens after eating? I really hope so :)

MyNameIsSuz · 09/10/2015 15:11

Hard to know without knowing exactly what you feel, but that's what I'm getting and it's always in the same spot and feels how I remember it starting last time.
