First trimester worries and joys. Test taking, morning sickness, midwife appointments and scans. It's all happening.

Can't believe we filled up a thread already. (I'll get this deleted if someone's already created a second thread, but I didn't see one!

Ive just come back from my private scan. After being an emotional wreck for the past 24 hours it was such a relief to see the baby and a heart beat straight away. It put me at 7wks so just a day earlier than what I thought. Im so happy but I'm already thinking about booking another one for a couple of weeks!

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 10/10/2015 13:17

Glad it went well ljjeffro :)

Southy84 · 10/10/2015 13:33

That's great news ljjeffro :) I know what you mean, the reassurance doesn't last long does it. I said to my dh I wish I could have a scan everyday Blush I know that's massively over the top...

Mamama31 · 10/10/2015 14:00

Also had my scan this morning, measuring 9wks and 1 day, lovely heartbeat and it did a little jump...so cute! was very reassuring but that's me discharged from EPU so next scan will be between 12 and 14wks...so hoping it's 12!!

Ljjeffro congrats on your scan as well that's great news :)

Brenna thinking of you x

ODog · 10/10/2015 16:10

Congrats mama and ijeff on your scan news. Just think if it's more like 14 wks then it's less of a gap to 20 wks.

frozensmoothie · 10/10/2015 16:28

Glad your scans went well! I've got my private one tomorrow morning. Feeling excited and nervous at the same time. Hope everything will be ok.

Mamama31 · 10/10/2015 16:46

Thanks Odog and frozen. I hope yours goes well too frozen.

Odog I guess your right about that but that's like 5 wks away!!! Soooooo long!

ljjeffro · 10/10/2015 17:14

Congratulations mama . I know what you mean southy although I do hate the nerves while your waiting in the waiting room. I don't think I could do that every day! Grin

StormTr00per · 10/10/2015 17:25

So sorry Brenna Flowers

Glad to hear others are doing well. I've been choked with a cold and just plain exhausted. Urgh. Getting very impatient waiting for the scan date!! I got my medical exemption card, so definitely in the system..

Autumn31 · 10/10/2015 17:30

Hi everyone
Just spent a while reading though the thread, I'm new to MN but have been lurking for a while.

I'm Autumn, 31 currently 7+2 with my first. Suffering badly with nausea and vomiting but I have my first midwife appointment to look forward to soon.

Hopefully I will be able to chat to you all soon.

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 10/10/2015 17:54

Hi all! Sorry been very absent but I'm quickly checking in whilst in Morocco! DH and I are having a fabulous time so far - lots of lazing about and relaxing so far but we've got lots of adventure and exploring to come.

Brenna - I just... I have no words. Like others have said, your positivity is so so admirable and it sounds like you've got the best support around you. I hope this next bit is as quick and painless as possible.

Poster - keeping fingers crossed. Hope these next two weeks speed by and you're greeted with good news. Be kind to yourself in the meantime and PUT THOSE FEET UP!

glad to hear we've got positive scan news from others.

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and feel like I'be already ballooned. Guess it's all just gas and bloat but I feel humongous! Not a good look in a bikini.

x

Greyhorses · 10/10/2015 18:00

Hi everyone, glad to hear you had a positive scan mama, I am also 9+1 today!

I am also still suffering badly with nausea. I have been off work again and am really struggling with it all! The medications have limited the vomiting to 4-5 times a day but the nausea is constant. All I have eaten for weeks is dry toast yet I am so bloated, pregnancy is not glamorous!

I hope you feel better soon autumn but if you continue to feel awful see your midwife early as they can give you things to help Smile

BeckleinDisguise · 10/10/2015 18:28

Hello, firstly I want to say to mama, iljeff and notso Yay! For your positive scans, that's fab news!

Brenna, so so sorry to hear your news, it's so heartbreaking but I'm glad you have the comfort of your OH and lovely dog.

Poster, try and keep positive if you can, rest up and look after yourself. Sometimes babies are just a little slow to get going, you saw a heartbeat so hold on to that.

Sadly though I don't have good news, after bleeding heavily all week and having some awful pain midweek, I have had a miscarriage this morning, because of what I described to the doctor on the phone they are certain (as am I) and there is no follow up needed so thats it. I feel sad and empty but also sure that these things happen for a reason.

Good luck to all of the rest of you, I hope your next 6-8 months are uneventful x

MollieRos · 10/10/2015 18:38

Beckle I'm so sorry. You've had such a tough time of it, I'm really sorry things didn't work out for you. Make sure you take care of yourself, I hope you have someone to look after you Flowers

I'm glad others have had positive news from scans. Sending positive thought to everyone suffering with nausea too. I've been feeling really sick but not actually being sick, which is pretty grim. Seems like the best thing for it is to eat, strangely enough, so I've been picking all day.

Mamama31 · 10/10/2015 18:41

Beckle I'm so so sorry to hear this :( you will be missed on this thread. I hope you have lots of comfort around you. Take care x

mama I'm so glad your scan went well too, totally understand the feeling of being signed off by the epu. My scans closer to the 14 week Mark but going to remember that odog less time to the next scan. ljjeffro actually I nearly had a heart failure in the waiting room last week so I maybe daily scans would do nothing for my blood pressure.

How far along are you now storm ? Hopefully you won't be waiting much longer for your scan date.

Welcome autumn and congratulations :) sorry to hear you've been feeling ill too.

toffee wow I'm jealous, Id love to be on holiday, is it nice and warm in Morocco? Have a lovely time!

grey I'm glad you're meds have been helping, sorry you're still feeling so sick though.

beckle Flowers I'm absolutely gutted to hear this, look after yourself, I'm thinking of you xx

Southy84 · 10/10/2015 19:27

mama I was about to say the same thing, tiff hope you're ok. I'm sure there are some other ladies we haven't heard from in a while, hope everyone is ok- this is such a worrying time :( x

Greyhorses · 10/10/2015 19:39

Beckle I am so sorry to hear your news Sad

frozensmoothie · 10/10/2015 19:57
