beautiful yes he is missing the scan and we are both absolutely gutted.
I just whatsapped him telling him I am craving krispy Kreme donuts. Think I am slowly going mad.. imagining chocolate coated ones..

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 21/08/2015 18:44

sherazade DH can't come to our scan either - family business and too many people are on holiday. I have asked my mum to come!

sherazade · 21/08/2015 19:08

Aw that's a shame adorabeezle
I wanted to ask my mum but she's going to be watching the dds for me. I feel lonely going alone but I can't think of anyone I'd b close enough to take - apart from my sister but she has young dc

sherazade · 21/08/2015 19:09

And by the way everyone am off to a Krispy Kreme drive through .

marmitemofo · 21/08/2015 20:03

there's a krispy kreme drive through?! jealous Envy

Celen · 21/08/2015 20:18

Mine is on the 7th too Q! Just 15 mins before yours :-)

sherazade · 21/08/2015 20:19

yes- surely this is a commodity of every UK city Grin
To be fair this is the first donut I've had in about two years (first of many at this rate).
I ordered a graze box last week as thought it would be a good idea t o have one handy at work but i'm pretty annoyed that it hasn't come and twas supposed to arrive yesterday.

since when has food become the absolute focal point of my life?

BeautifulLiar · 21/08/2015 20:22

Sherazade so that's you and me both going to our scans alone! I don't speak to my family, and best friends will be at work or on holiday. Lovely SIL will be watching the kids.

I'm kind of sad about it... especially the bit in the waiting room. Still looking forward to it though.

BeautifulLiar · 21/08/2015 20:24

DH will be working in Scotland (we're in Lincolnshire!) - he hasn't gone AWOL!

Rural village here, no sniff of a krispy kreme drive thru.

Missikat · 21/08/2015 21:03

Lovely pic me!

So exciting all the scans coming up. I've got the date through now for mine (although only as I called the hospital, they had my old address on the system, I presume from DS birth, and my letter has gone there so good job I called!) it's next Friday 28th Aug and I'll be 12+2 according to my ov date. Can't come soon enough, getting more anxious the later it gets and panicking about a MMC and just want to make sure there's a baby there before I start getting properly excited. I'm definitely more worried second time round. Hope all you ladies who have scans early in the week have great ones.

purplecat27 · 21/08/2015 22:06

I gave in today and bought Lactulose, is anybody else ridiculously constipated and bloated?

Just been crying at the movie What to Expect When You're Expecting. I'm a whale-sized mess right now.

Emmalbae · 21/08/2015 22:29

Hi ladies.
Am now currently 9+6.
Had my dating scan today which I was sent to early for so have to go back in two and a half weeks, was a bit pleased as another chance to see baby .

This is a photo of today. Was very still today unlike me nine week private scan when it was dancing around but had a very strong heartbeat.

Also have a corpus luteum cyst which has grown 0.5cm in three weeks and a bit so a bit worried about that.

Due date by scan is 19/03/2016 which is exactly how I make it based on ov date

Lovely picture Emmlbae Smile

What's a corpus luteum cyst? I've not heard of those?

RhubarbAndMustard · 22/08/2015 07:34

Congrats on all the lovely scan pics!

My nausea has stopped. It was literally like someone clicked their fingers 4pm on Thurs and none since. Feeling half relieved and half worried. I'm 11 weeks today so seems a bit early, but hoping it's just the end of that stage. It is nice to actually be able to eat again though.

Me624 · 22/08/2015 08:12

Rhubarb I haven't had any ms but what few symptoms I did have tailed off at 10 weeks, so I think you are probably just coming out the other end now.

I don't know what a corpus luteum cyst is either but hope you are ok Emma!

BeautifulLiar · 22/08/2015 10:14

I wish I didn't have any symptoms! I'm apparently 12 weeks tomorrow but if anything the sickness has ramped up a notch.

Anyone else a bit worried that they'll be ill on scan day??

Rosieblossom123 · 22/08/2015 10:39

Missikat we've got the same scan dates :) what time is yours? I'll be 12+2 too!! Due date is 09/03/2015 it'll be interesting to see if we are the right dates after the scan. I had a scan at 9+6 and so excited to see how much baby has changed! Hurry up Friday!! Haha

Rhubarb same here Wednesday I was sick twice then that's it, no more sickness, I feel great I am 12 weeks on Wednesday so hopefully that's us starting to feel better going into our second trimester :) fingers crossed!

Emmalbae · 22/08/2015 10:49

Hi, a corpus cyst us what's left over after you ovulate. Normally if you don't conceive it disappears on its own but if you do it can stick around. Basically it supplies the pregnancy with progesterone until the placenta takes over the job. Most disappear at sixteen weeks but some can burst which doesn't cause damage to baby it's just very painful and some have to be surgically removed.
This was baby at 9+0 can't believe how much more baby like it looks in just six days. So excited to see it on 9th September.
Starting to get a lot less sickness now, only vomited twice this week where as last few weeks have been lots. Hopefully getting better as I'm 10 weeks today . 1/4 of the way!

QforCucumber · 22/08/2015 11:13

11 weeks today here too, can't believe my scan isn't until 13+2 seems so far away Sad

QforCucumber · 22/08/2015 11:13

waves to celen, scan date buddy

IndomitabIe · 22/08/2015 11:14

My friend had IVF and had a lot of eggs collected. She's now pg (a couple of weeks behind me but I can't tell her yet!) and has ovarian hyper stimulation where all those corpus leutea from the eggs that were collected are busy pitching in to support the pregnancy. Her ovaries are huge, poor thing!

Glad to hear they might calm down by 16 weeks.

I'm trying to wait till she's a bit further on to share that I'm pg too. Maybe 9 or 12 weeks.

Emmalbae that's really cool to see the difference 6 days makes. It's also explaining why I'm so sensitive to activity at the moment (9+1). I went into school on thurs and was ruined yesterday. Spent the day doing nothing and I feel much better today. DH would like us to Go Out and Do Things but I know one day out will mean the next day incapacitated.

Looking forward to feeling more normal in the next few weeks. Glad to hear people are already getting there!

(Last time I was in the April group, but DS EDD was revised to the end of March, but I stayed there so was one of the first to hit milestones etc. This time, being one of the last is difficult! I'll end up being the grumpy overdue one here by myself, won't I?!)

sherazade · 22/08/2015 12:05

indomitable my last baby was born 21 days overdue so i wouldn't be suprised if I end up being grumpy/ overdue again

IndomitabIe · 22/08/2015 12:19

21 DAYS OVERDUE! wow, how did that happen?!

I've already been told I'll be induced at 11 days over. (DS was only 40+3, I'm not sure how that statement was relevant at 8 weeks pg!)

sherazade · 22/08/2015 12:25

It's a long story but to try to summarise it: first baby was born by section because she was breech, pregnant again shortly after and wanted a vbac desperately, as soon as I was overdue I was under a lot of pressure to undergo another section because they are vvvvv reluctant to induce a previous section especially when it was v recent . I did not want another section as I suffered severe pnd from my previous one and believed I could vbac . I tried to win time to avoid a repeat section. Much arguing with registrars who kept trying to emotionally blackmail me. Went in for regular monitoring of the baby and a couple of extra scans which showed baby and placenta were functioning fine. I begged the consultant to give me a chance at a vbac so he agreed on one dose of prostin only , and if that didn't work for me to go straight to theatre . I agreed as I did not want to put my baby at risk any longer . Had the prostin and went straight into labour although it was a complex and traumatic experience and they kept prepping me for theatre throughout I willed myself to push her out and I did. Proudest moment of my life :) sorry that was long !!

sherazade · 22/08/2015 12:27

And by the way you are under no obligation to agree to an induction . You can request extra feotal monitoring and delay it so you have a chance of going into labour yourself.
