It's MN this time - they're forcing everyone to change their passwords. Had to do the same as you brickie and got this message:

"UPDATE: Following the recent attacks on Mumsnet, we've made some changes to require users to create new complex passwords that conform to higher security standards.

In the next hour, weâ??re going to force all users to be logged out â?? you'll have to change your passwords to log back in, so don't worry when this happens to you."

brickiemum2 · 19/08/2015 23:04

But I already did it sob the chances of me remembering the new, 4th one in 24 hours are miniscule I tell you Sad

coffeenut · 20/08/2015 00:33

Argh what a pain. Third change of password. I've just selected "keep me logged in" otherwise I'd never remember either brickie. Means they can't phish you either I think as you dont type it in each time? BTW I meant to say, great bump!! I dont think it's Bshaped at all.

cubano how scary for your friend! Was it one of the administrators or just someone random they targeted??

20 week scan tomorrow! If it's all good I'm going to have a half glass of champagne tomorrow night. Fingers crossed.

I'll be very interested to hear those celeb boys names whoever said that Wink

Does anyone on here have older girls? My 5 yr old is suddenly going on 15. I feel like worst mummy ever, getting so frustrated with her!

20 + 4

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 20/08/2015 06:21

Right now I've faffed about changing passwords I can get on with what I was going to say!

Big hugs to everyone who has had sadness and rubbish days!

Good point about getting the bambinos settles in a 0+ car seat with blankets etc before going into the cold car and weather. DH and I are probably going to get a Maxi Cosi Pebble 0+ seat for our little one. I think Winstanleys Pramword had the best prices when I was researching the other day. They also have the Oyster 2 pushchair/carrycot/colour pack package for a really good price if anyone is interested.

This little one has been having an active few days lately, dancing around. DH still hasn't felt it though Sad

Finally, yesterday I was suffering with stupid baby brain. At one point I was asking a colleague what season we were in and what month it was! Blush Definitely no point asking me what day it is either. Although (for now) I know it's THURSDAY! Smile (I just checked, haha!)

BeeMyBaby · 20/08/2015 06:23

coffee I've got an 5yo girl too but as she has just started back at school when I come home after work she is exhausted and just needs dinner then bed with no time really for back chat. Probably less than a month till your DD goes back to school?

mrschatty · 20/08/2015 07:40

coffee mine was set to keep me logged in they still managed to 'phish' me! It was a fake log in screen so I just thought I'd been logged out for some reason Hmm
maybe my baby is more active popping around in there but never when dh puts his hand on it!!!

kep1979 · 20/08/2015 07:40

Morning all. Heartburn this morning so had to get up early, need to bulk buy gaviscon!

Anyone got any tips on where to get a decent bikini? Having looked around I am tempted to just buy a normal one in a mahoosive boob size and hope for the best go topless in the villa Also could do with at least one decent summer dress, preferably not strapless else I'll have to buy another strapless bra.

Scan tomorrow... eeek

coffeenut · 20/08/2015 07:41

bee our school year starts at the end of January - they also start school a little older here.

coffeenut · 20/08/2015 07:46

mrschatty did you re-enter your details? i thought you physically had to type it to be phished - but I'm not v technical!!!!

12345Claire · 20/08/2015 08:02

Kep - Primark have lots of summer dresses at the moment, worth a look.

DP and I have been invited to a wedding in Boston, U.S. in April next year. Considering we will have a 2-3 month old by then, are we crazy for thinking we can make it and bring him/her with us? Or will it be way too much hassle/stressful?

Oysterbabe · 20/08/2015 08:13

Our girl middle name is Joy, which is DH's gran. Our boy middle name is Jackson which DH wants as a first name but which I have vetoed as I think it sounds a bit chavtastic Blush

Oysterbabe · 20/08/2015 08:15

You'll be fine Claire, they're pretty portable at that age, especially if you're breast feeding. You'll need to crack straight on with getting a passport after the birth though.

ValancyJane · 20/08/2015 08:16

Teenie Personally I really like middle names, and will probably be persuading OH that the baby needs two of them. In my case I think it's because I spend a lot of my free time researching my family tree, and a Mary Elizabeth Doralise is so much more interesting on paper than a Mary! That said, I like my middle name but rarely use it. I know some people who go by their middle name though, so I guess it gives DC an option if they dislike the first name their parents have lovingly picked out.

sweetpea Sorry to hear about the owl Sad

coffee Good luck for the scan!

Kep not a bikini, but I got a nice polka dot tankini from Mothercare recently that I like. JoJo Maman Bebe had nice swimwear too, can't remember about bikinis thought.

We really haven't made any decisions about prams and car seats yet, a good friend has the iCandy (I've been eyeing it up) and she said we can go round to her's and take it for a test drive down the road! But did say she found it awkward to get in the car, and she has quite a big car. Initially we were thinking travel system, but I think we're more coming around to a fixed car seat and a separate pushchair. I find it all really confusing, there's just so much to consider with all of them!

I'm off into work today for GCSE results, having looked online I am tempted to take a box of tissues with me, I think there's going to be a lot of upset teenagers today, I was quite looking forward to it until I saw that. On the plus side, it's going to be nice to tell some of the kids I was close to this year about my pregnancy!

MissSMartin · 20/08/2015 08:41

Good Morning everyone Grin
how annoying is all this password changing lol
got my Mw appt tomorrow.. dp coming along for just this one as it will be the first time we get to hear the heartbeat and not just see it.. his work were being ar*eholes about him coming as they are busy but I screen shotted the direct gov paternal rights and told him to read it to them.. he gave them 3 weeks notice aswell! so he's now ALLOWED to come Smile

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

MissSMartin · 20/08/2015 09:13

Oh forgot to say after seeing the doctor yesterday he checked me for p.e because of my headaches but my BP was great and I have no protein in wee.. he also gave me a note to be able to park on my work car park yay! no more walking for me Smile

loveulotslikejellytots · 20/08/2015 10:21

Had my 20 week mw app yesterday. All good, heard the HB again, BP is low but not awful and my dizziness has got better. Got my MatB1 form from the midwife for me to give to my boss.

Also got given loads more appoitments! Repeat 20 week scan is on Monday, consultant appointment, 25 week mw appointment, glucose tolerance test... it goes on and on! The glucose test is 3 hours! Luckily my work have an office in the hospital so I might be able to go and work while I wait for the test to work or what ever it does!

Nightfall could I be really cheeky, would you be able to see if Which have reviewed the uppababy vist and the iCandy Peach 3? You already mentioned the recaro seat upthread that DH liked so thats handy!

It's all so confusing, but I think after going to Mothercare last night and having a good look at car seats we're going for something that is fixed and lasts longer. So something rear facing from birth up until 4 years. Does anyone understand the 'new' laws that are coming in about rear facing? I haven't even looked yet, might have a look on my lunch break.

hotcrossbun83 · 20/08/2015 10:27

This is a bit sales-y but useful:

www.maxi-cosi.com/car-seats/car-seat-safety/car-seat-laws-and-regulations/what-is-i-size.aspx

I don't believe the new law is all seats must be isofix, I think it's that all new cars should have isofix.

BeeMyBaby · 20/08/2015 11:04

love they reckon 2018 according to this website. Also re the glucose tolerance test, did your bloods come back with high sugars from your 16 week appointment? I had to have one with DD1 as I had high sugars at my 28 week appointment, but wasn't made to have one with DD2.

coffee at least she'll be at school by the time baby comes then which I guess is when you really need all the time you can get.

OP posts:
brickiemum2 · 20/08/2015 12:16

I think regarding the law and rear facing.....Yes it's true that it won't technically apply to us as our babies will turn 15m before it is implemented BUT personally for me that's not a reason to then ignore the fact that the law is changing purely because it's been demonstrated to be so much safer. There is plenty of information online and videos available on YouTube to demonstrate why...I won't post them all up unless someone specifically wants me to.
My last child was rf until 15/16m anyway but this one will be for considerably longer now that they are far more seats commercially available that will allow this until at least 4.
I have a 6yo dd and she seriously thinks she's a teenager. It's amusing but very tiring lol.

loveulotslikejellytots · 20/08/2015 13:47

Bee Ah, I thought it was 2017. If we have another baby thoug, i'd use the same car seat, I'd like them quite close together. I just wasn't sure what the changes entailed, i'd be gutted to spend a load of money on a car seat now, for it to be useless in a few years time. I'll have a read, thanks!

Also, y bloods have been fine all the way through, i'm having the GTT because of raised BMI. I think it's standard here if your BMI is over a certain level, i'm not sure what that level is though.

Nightfall1983 · 20/08/2015 14:01

RE the law, the changes in the law refer to the car seats themselves, not to the users. So that means that you don't need to worry about whether the car seat conforms to the new laws, it has to in order to be sold (not yet, but when it comes in). Any existing car seats, bought before the law change can continue to be used. That's not to say you should ignore it - it's still very important to keep the LOs rear facing for as long as possible, but don't worry about the law. If you can buy a seat then it is legal.

loveulots I was surprised when I looked up the prams for you. If you'd have asked me I'd have said to plumb for the Uppababy, we haven't got one but I've seen them lots and they are excellent HOWEVER according to Which? whilst the old Uppababy Vista was a very highscoring Best Buy the new 2015 version is not, it only gets 61% they have concerns about its durability and how wide it is.

The iCandy Peach 3 does a little better 70% but still isn't a best buy.

If you want to have a look at some that Which? consider Best Buys then look at the Jane Rider and the Britax B-Agile (note that this is FF only once baby outgrows the carrycot). The top rated pushchair is the Baby Jogger City Mini but it's not exactly cosy for a newborn IMO...

Nightfall1983 · 20/08/2015 14:03

Oh, I also have to have the GTT because I have PCOS. I didn't have it with my son because I hadn't been diagnosed yet, I'm dreading it tbh because I'm sure I'm going to "fail" as I'm very sensitive to sugar levels and I just don't want the hassle of it all! Not till 28 weeks - end of October though.

loveulotslikejellytots · 20/08/2015 14:31

THanks ever so much for that Nightfall. I'll have a look at the Jane Rider, not keen on the Britax because of the non parent facing option.

I'm surprised about the Uppababy though. It is wide! I've had to measure my hall way to check it will go through! I'm not sure how durability is measured on a new product though Grin surely people have only had it under a year? I hope it hasn't started falling apart already for some people! I was really sold on it.

I've seen the baby jogger, but like you say, not very cosy.

Chip86 · 20/08/2015 15:17

Thank you for letting me know I was on the list Angry so anoying.
We will be giving baby a middle name if it's a girl it will me after my nan, dh mum and my mum, if it's a boy it will be after DH and maybe my grandad who sadly died. My DD has same middle name as me like we have a special link it's nice Grin
We have bugaboo bee which I love just can't use it over anything rougher than grass or on grass, it is a city pushchair and folds really small. We have maxi cosy car seat and Isofix Base so just reusing it all. Going to get DD the buggy board and see how we go.

Juniper404 · 20/08/2015 16:11

I'm having the GTT because both my dad and his brother have type 2 diabetes, so apparently I have a 25% chance of developing it too (irrespective of pregnancy).

Had it last time and it wasn't too bad; just lots of hanging around watching day time TV, which I hate!

I wish DP would get the Doppler out of the loft. I haven't felt the baby move at all today or yesterday, but felt it loads on Tuesday. I'm 17+4 today so I know it's still early (and it's still little!) but I'd like the reassurance. We don't have a loft ladder at the moment and the hole is too small for me anyway, so I can't get it myself!

I've also got a wedding (an Indian one) to go to in the start of September so I'm desperately trying to find a dress to wear. I bought a few from JoJo but not keen. Definitely show off the bump, though!
