Missed carlton and bigfox super scan news! Smile

primarynoodle · 29/07/2015 20:12

yay lovely scans Grin

hopefully more good news and pictures tomorrow from those of us with our scans (quite a few iirc)

fififolle · 29/07/2015 20:33

Superb scan pic Rufus!
Great news BigFox, so glad it was so reassuring. It's a shame that you're suffering so much.
Carlton that's a brilliant pic! I love the little wave Smile.

BadgieBear · 29/07/2015 21:09

noodle I'm up tomorrow too. Can't decide if I'm more excited or nervous...

Good luck to everyone else having scans tomorrow! Smile

Brummiegirl15 · 29/07/2015 22:15

Ahhh Mama a fellow Brummie!!! Welcome!!!

QuackQuackers · 29/07/2015 22:34

badgie primary I'm with you tomorrow. Have either of you had scans already?
It'll be my first and I'm super anxious about tonight

BadgieBear · 29/07/2015 22:41

Hey quack another scan buddy!

I had one two weeks ago before DP went away on business so he could see the rascal. Must admit to being super nervous now despite scan - think it's because I'm on my own.

But worrying makes no difference to anything so am trying to put my sensible, calm, rational head on. I'm sure we will all be here this time tomorrow on cloud nine with lovely scan pics! Smile

QuackQuackers · 29/07/2015 22:42

I really hope so bear

Sal1977 · 29/07/2015 23:31

Newbie here, FINALLY plucking up the courage to join! Have been lurking for weeks so feel a bit mean that I feel like I know you lot already and you've no idea who I am! (I recognise a few names from the TTC after MC threads from yonks ago).

Bit about me: 37yo (DH41), dc#1 on board at 12w6d.
4 previous MC, took us 19months to fall with this one! What a shitty journey!

Have had 7 scans to date (4 private ones - yes, I'm paranoid), 12 week NHS one yesterday and Harmony results and scan today at the Fetal Medicine Centre with the professor! Am a bit tender now after all that poking around! Got another appt tomorrow at the Antenatal clinic to hopefully tell me I can stop taking the Clexane Injections which make me look like a crack whore
I still can't bring myself to tell many people. I'm still scared it's not gonna result in a human at the end!

Anyway, good luck with scans coming up tomorrow and Friday and congrats to those who have had successful scans.

Here's my smal human...

Brummiegirl15 · 30/07/2015 07:09

Hi Sal welcome, I'm a recurrent mc'er as well! Had 3 mc's before this one and you are right it's a shitty frightening journey

I'm also on the clexane daily - my stomach is a lovely purple and yellow colour. Also on the cyclogest but trying to wean myself off it as 13+3 but scared to stop taking it!!

Congrats on this one !!!

Hey Brummie! I remember you from last year on one of the TTC threads. I left in the end as I needed to just get my head down with it all. I'm glad you've got a good one on board!

I asked Professor Nikolaides yesterday about stopping the Cleaxane and he's soo funny! He said "Look, at this point, it's just psychotherapy!". He also said that when you get to this point in a pregnancy when they've done their checks and seen it doing the conga on the U/S, any previous MC are irrelevant. He said that you could have had 25 MC previously, but at this point in the game, it has no bearing whatsoever on this one.

I also asked him about sex as we've been on a ban up to this point. His response was, "You absolutely better have sex with your husband otherwise he'll be off to find a willing neighbour!" Lol!

Now just need to start believing him......

Good luck with scans today ladies!!

Stepawayfromthezebras · 30/07/2015 07:25

Quack it's my first scan today. Such a weird mix of nervous and excited (though nervous is winning at the moment) it's like waiting for Christmas and exam results and your driving test and every other nerve wracking thing you could imagine all wrapped up together

Good luck everyone!

NoMontagues · 30/07/2015 07:36

Wow. Loads of scans happening today. I'll be thinking of you all, best of luck quack badgie primary and zebras !! Smile

sal welcome and congratulations! What a lovely scan pic of your little bean Smile

Carltonlives · 30/07/2015 07:39

Good luck for today everyone! Can't wait to see yet more lovely little babies Smile

Good luck for telling your boss fox, I will let you know how I get on. Just need to hope he comes into the office now hehe

NoMontagues · 30/07/2015 07:39

pog I still have this cold, is there anything we can do, do you think? I did sweet fa yesterday in terms of work but I have a deadline at 4pm today so I'm going to have to pull my finger out!

Staring at spreadsheets seems to exacerbate my symptoms. mumsnet is fine though

jellypi3 · 30/07/2015 07:46

montague I've had a cold and cough for almost 3 weeks now. The pharmacist told me all I can take is honey and lemon and paracetamol

fififolle · 30/07/2015 08:15

Welcome Sal1977, great scan picture. It sounds like you've had a tough time but fantastic to hear about your pregnancy. I'm the same age as you and am now 11 weeks pregnant after 2 MCs in the past year. Prof Nikolaides sounds brilliant, it just shows that laughter really is the best medicine!
Good luck to all those having scans today .

NoMontagues · 30/07/2015 08:35

Thanks jelly I might cave later and take a paracetamol.

Hope you're starting to feel a bit better after three weeks of it!

Spanoo · 30/07/2015 08:38

Wow it's great to hear about all the scans happening lately. I was having a bit of a freak out yesterday but feeling better now.

Feel like my nausea and tiredness has eased these past few days... And - I had sex this morning for the first time in months - possibly since conception Wink

Good luck to those with scans today!

haquoi123 · 30/07/2015 08:40

jellypi try honey and crushed garlic (raw) on a spoon. It gives your immune system a boost - I swear by it for colds.

Good luck with all the scans today! Wonderful pictures as well :) our babies are the size of clementines! This morning, lying in my back, I can feel a little rise in my belly where the baby is. So exciting!

Also, for those with indigestion, get someone to rub your back, upper middle, over your bra strap. Two fingers either side of the spine works best for me. It is literally like being burped, but so good!!

Congrats on, and good luck for, all the scans! They're so cute! Super jealous as I haven't had my appointment through yet... so impatient!

Welcome Sal Smile

eggsnbeans · 30/07/2015 08:55

Hi ladies, been off mumsnet for a while as was having a huge stress about not scan results! I also had a high nt reading, 2.8mm which is well over 97th percentile for gestation (they say under 3.5mm is normal, but it all depends on length of baby and avtudlly over 95th percentile is high!) Anyway, bloods came back and brought my risk in at 1:1000. I said to myself i:'d do harmony if any higher so I guess I'm going to have to be happy with that. Then my mw told me my hba1c was a bit high for this early in pregnancy (but normal) and she thinks I will prob get gestational diabetes! Yay :( she has been desperate to diagnose me anyway as I have had 2 big babies, so I've made some big dirt changes to hopefully reduce my risk. Gahhhhh I just want to relax and enjoy my pregnancy!

RattyCatty · 30/07/2015 09:25

Good luck with scans ladies!

Welcome sal Smile

eggs my NT measure was 2.7mm

Jen2104 · 30/07/2015 09:27

HI all,

Loving all the scans starting to come through - such an exciting time!

Is also really reassuring seeing all the success - I'm a mc'er too so really trying to enjoy this pregnancy but I just can't 100% relax - I keep thinking, ok if I can get to 10 weeks - thats double figures. OK if I can get to 12 weeks, thats a big deal etc etc!

I think once have bloods done and a 12 week scan under my belt I'll be able to start enjoying and have some fun!

Anyone else also finding it really difficult to keep socialising as normal with out going out for drinks with the girls? I'm sure most of my friends have figured it out by now cause it's not like me to either miss a party or be at the party with soda water in hand!
