Morning all. Haven't read through as signal is patchy but just wanted to let you know that baby is fine and she is a girl! Grin

Looking forward to catching up when I get better signal.

jellypi3 · 17/08/2015 11:13

Yes good luck to those getting their results.

I'm still being sick, at 16+4, so not fun and games. Threw up on the walk to work in a busy london street today.

I know what you mean mawsy about head being all over the place, we are trying to move house at the moment and it's so stressful I can't think straight!

Anyone else signed up for Ante-natal classes yet?

RattyCatty · 17/08/2015 11:14

Great news over! Congratulations on a little girl! Smile

Mawsymoo · 17/08/2015 11:19

our 20w scan is 14th september, i can't wait! counting down the days pretty much!

StockingFullOfCoal · 17/08/2015 13:26

My scan is 30th September. I have been tempted to discover the gender considering my financial circumstances have massively changed, however, I can't see how knowing the gender would actually help that being as I don't do pink/blue anyway!

Have a black Liberty sling on the way, and will most likely buy a black Buzz unless they bring out some better colours for the 2016 range. I love seeing newborns in all white, so thats what baby will be in for the first month or so yes I am boring

DD2s name was #66 when I used it. Its now #1 and DD1s name wasn't even the top 100 and now its top 10. They are 7 & 4 though, and I don't know any other children with their names that are over the age of 1.

haquoi123 · 17/08/2015 13:44

Congrats over, that's fantastic news!! Grin

Let me know what the coat is like, bigfox, I might wait until the new term paychecks stay coming in. It looks so useful though.

Ds' name is not on any lists I don't think, we went truly wacky (but wonderful). Hoping to do so again with this one, we've got to match his name somehow :)

names are a nightmare for us. My name is fairly standard but not one you hear too often if you see what I mean. DP's name is very very unusual. I think he's the only person on the cencus with his name spelt how he spell it, and there's only a handful of people on there with the other spelling. I'd never heard the name before meeting him. And he wants our children to have similarly unique names.

clarabellski · 17/08/2015 14:22

jelly you've intrigued us all now!!!! Wink

We're still at the silly names stage. I suspect we'll be 'that' couple whose baby remains unnamed for a couple of weeks following birth Blush

For those who think they've felt their baby already, what did it feel like? I keep thinking I'm feeling what can only be described as 'fizzing', like an alka seltzer fizzing away in my tummy area (below belly button). I've maybe felt it 4/5 times in the past week. I can't recall feeling it before but is it just wind? Confused

NoMontagues · 17/08/2015 14:25

overreaction fantastic news! I'm thrilled for you Smile Smile

Rufus200 · 17/08/2015 14:36

8 years ago I had a dream about chasing a little boy on the lawn and calling out his name. That has been our boy's name ever since. We have already started calling bump it. We were going to wait till after the 20 wk scan but it just kept on slipping out. It is in the top 20 but not changing it. We have a great unusual girl's name that DH randomly came out with on the morning he proposed to me but that will just have to be saved.

clara i'd say if you don't fart then it's not wind Wink apparently first baby movements feel like popping/fizzing down that area!

Littleoakhorn · 17/08/2015 16:55

Wow, so much to catch up on. Congratulations Over, what great news.

Mayo how long will you have to wait for the results?

On movement, I keep feeling popping sensations but all over so I'm assuming that it's my poor abused digestive system and not the baby.

As for coats, I managed with my big down jacket last time but the weather warmed up really quickly (I was due late March) so I was OK not doing it up. I'm lusting after the Seraphine coats too, but I actually need something warm and waterproof.

BadgieBear · 17/08/2015 17:05

over that's fab news, congratulations - also congrats on the first girl! Smile

fififolle · 17/08/2015 17:14

Fab news Over!

raviolig · 17/08/2015 17:35

Had my scan on Thursday. Baby was awkward as anything and I had a student, plus I am large, all 3 of which I think contributed to her not managing to do the nuchal measurement. It is the first time I haven't had it, and my first baby over 30 so I was a lot more worried this time. I got really dizzy laying flat as well and my husband said I looked awful when I came out. I got to see baby but not many clear pics because baby was moving around so much. They said they could see a bleed as well, outside the area the baby was in but still there.
Since the scan my stomach area has been agony, like it was covered with bruises. I think she really pushed and pushed to try and get the measurements.
I have booked to have the quad test at 15 weeks.
I am still feeling shocking. Very nauseous, very dizzy and very tired. The midwife said it is normal for this stage, especially when I have already got 2 kids. But it does not feel normal at all.
I have definitely been feeling movements this week, and after seeing baby I understand why! It is lovely though, a positive to the pregnancy instead of all the sickness!!

goneswimming · 17/08/2015 20:06

Evening everyone! I had my 12 week scan last Thursday and not heard anything back yet- I'm hoping that means good news but still very tense until we hear....due date now rescheduled back a few days to Feb 25th.
