It was this one May but back to £60 now Angry
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00J98YB9K/ref=ya_aw_oh_pii

I'll keep checking it to see if it goes back. I bought a lightweight one too for now and a couple of wrap type dresses, all Mamalicious, really pleased with the quality but they do come up big, I'm a 10-12 at the mo and size medium was massive so changed for small.

MayFlowers16 · 16/08/2015 20:17

Thanks True I was considering buying the lightweight one as it's such a bargain. Useful to know about the sizing. Maybe if the lightweight one comes up big I'll be able to wear it over a jumper in the winter too....

MayFlowers16 · 16/08/2015 20:21

I thought the price may be too good to be true but I'm glad you've found them to be genuine and good quality. Right then, I may just get my credit card out!

ATrueNerd · 16/08/2015 20:27

Yeah I was a bit worried as so cheap but I've got prime at the mo so free and easy returns. Jeans next! I've been living in stretchy maxi skirts and hareem pant things but need to be prepared for the weather to change. Topshop ones are not much cheaper on eBay so I might just invest in a couple of new pairs x

MayFlowers16 · 16/08/2015 20:36

I got some 1/2 price jeans and a couple of tops in the Next sale a couple of weeks ago. Ordered online for free store pick up, tried them on there and then so I return them in store if need be. Sorted!

haquoi123 · 16/08/2015 20:48

Thanks isla, that's so useful. I might get some coconut oil, I've used that in the past.

rufus that sounds really uncomfy. Are you doing pelvic floor exercises, might that help? (I'd forgotten until I read your post. Doing them now)

I've bought leggings and a knitted dress, yet to arrive, but haven't bitten the bullet about coats yet... Part of me thinks i might get away with using my mum or dh's coats, but I'm v small hipped and judging by what you say nerd I may get too big... It's also freezing in Cumbria (still wearing my winter coat in August) so maybe I should...

Hi from France!

Thank you for tips on stretch marks all, I feel a bit of a clueless first timer here.

Great tips on clothes and other bits. Think I'm a bit too nervous to look into all that stuff just yet (apart from Mat topshop jeans which are soooo comfy) just in case.

Hope everyone had a fab weekend. Lots of watching others drinking wine and eating cheese here! Lovely sunny weather though.

MayFlowers16 · 16/08/2015 20:57

Bonjour Ratty Smile

Rufus200 · 16/08/2015 21:09

haquoi I did my pelvic floors for one day and then forgot. I def need to start doing them!

teaandcake2016 · 16/08/2015 21:18

New look maternity leggings are fab. I can just let it all hang out in comfort whilst being covered - even though most of it is from the rolo giant cookies I've been eating Wink

haquoi123 · 16/08/2015 21:28

What do you think of this? Great reviews! Might need to find out a bit cheaper elsewhere though... www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+2-in-1-padded-maternity-coats-in-maternity-coats-and-jackets+b4743

rufus I love that everytime you mention pelvic for exercises in the company of other women, there are looks of intense concentration all round.

Oh god, just been looking at late pregnancy/labour/birth photos from last time! Terrifying how massive I was and its all come flooding back! Shock

StockingFullOfCoal · 16/08/2015 23:37

I haven't pooed since Wednesday. Codeine is making me constipated. And I can barely eat. Stupid jaw. I'm drinking lots of water in an attempt to flush it out, I'm quite uncomfortable now.

Stretchmarks: my mum had 5 babies, including a set of twins, not a mark on her. Mums sister, 5 children - covered in them. Hip to hip and from pubes to boobs (as she informed me the other day I asked Grin )

madsaz76 · 17/08/2015 07:43

Stocking you can buy lactuloase over the counter - I think i would - constipation miserable.

In my determination to keep fit I have done my back in. Damn these lax ligaments. Going to have to try and work from home and dig the yoga dvds out. :(

teaandcake2016 · 17/08/2015 07:58

Talking of yoga DVDs- does anyone know a good pregnancy DVD for yoga? I feel like doing it will give me an amazing figure and a clam intelligent child haha - worth a shot! Only kidding, I know it is really beneficial so want it get Into yoga again.

I now have a bump that's very clearly on only one side of me when I wake up which looks a bit odd!

Had dreams last night about my 20w scan - the scan room was empty so i scanned myself and it was a girl, then the sonogorpaher did it and it was a boy, then the baby's dad said its legs were crossed and nobody could tell!

rallytog1 · 17/08/2015 08:53

For those looking for winter coats - New Look often does a parka/duffel type coat in the maternity collection during Autumn/Winter. It was £40 three years ago and was such a good buy, so it might be worth hanging on to see if they do one this year. I can't wait to get mine on again!

clarabellski · 17/08/2015 09:26

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend. It was lovely and sunny up in Scotland for a change Grin

Rufus - I think what you're describing is what is known as the 'fanny daggers' (don't google this if you're at work!). I get it from time to time as well but it doesn't feel like bad/unusual pain if that makes sense.

Ratty - get stuck into the cheese! Most of it is fine! Nom nom....

Re the discussion on pelvic floor exercises, I've put a recurring reminder in my diary at work to do them at 3pm every day whilst sitting at my desk. So far averaging about 1 day a week. Just can't be bothered, even though I know its supposed to be good for you...

BadgieBear · 17/08/2015 09:57

mayo I have been using NHS Squeezy app - it's very bossy at reminding me to do my exercises which I what I need! Smile

Watching all this coat chat with interest - will need a normal coat and one suitable for walking our large stupid dog in bad weather...sun is shining and am not sporting much of a bump so am struggling to bring myself to buy anything although have been lusting over expensive lovely things on Seraphine website - thanks to whoever mentioned that!!! Grin

SmashleyHop · 17/08/2015 09:57

Arf at fanny daggers. Grin I used to call it "lightening crotch" but I think that was more SPD than muscle wall pain.

Those links for the winter coats are much appreciated. I've been looking for coats as those were great ideas.

Meeting with my midwife today. After 3 days of consistent kicks I've had a few days of nothing. Cue massive hormonal panic. So my midwife has agreed to see me and do a doppler so I can hear the heartbeat and stop worrying so much.

BananaRaces · 17/08/2015 10:06

Mayo thanks for mentioning the NHS Squeezy App, I've just downloaded it and done my first set of exercises... Bloomin Eck the slow ones are tough! I've been doing them very haphazardly up until now so hopefully this will encourage me to be a bit more regular about it! Grin

Over - I'll be thinking about you all day today. Everything crossed very tightly for you. Flowers

I love this one ^ Its brilliant. I also have the Rapid Results Pilates (can't use that during PG though, but I have never had such great results with anything else - I had a fist sized diastasis recti after my third)

Re: winter coats. My best friends ex left his "dog walking" coat here last year. I wore it a lot this winter. I only needed a vest top and long sleeved tshirt on underneath, its so gloriously padded and thick. I plan to use it again Grin

StockingFullOfCoal · 17/08/2015 10:42

It definitely won't fasten over my bump but I am a very hot and sweaty sort of pregnant woman, so am not worried.

Its boots that baffle me. I have rather wide massive calves and struggle to find knee high boots that fasten up over them that don't cost £100+

Mawsymoo · 17/08/2015 10:59

Morning all - good luck to all those awaiting results this week. I'm thinking of you over.

I'm 17 weeks today and finding life a little stressful at the moment. Work is busy, DS is teething and not sleeping and when he is awake he's clingy, I have a lot of other stuff going on (I know it's madness but we're hoping to move house before the next baby - it probably won't happen at this stage though) and basically I feel like I never get a second to myself. I don't know if there's a solution to all this or if I should just keep getting on with it but my head feels all jumbled and I don't get any time to "focus" on the new baby or the future.

On the plus side this weekend I was out and about a lot and did a few long and hilly walks which I am feeling in my bum today! My "bump" is still not very visible to the casual observer and I'm still in my normal clothes - my maternity clothes are still in a packing box in the shed waiting to be washed so it's just as well I don't need them urgently! Hopefully I'll "pop" over the next couple of weeks now and start feeling some movements etc.
