I'm glad you had an expert to do the CVS Over. Thanks for the update, have been thinking about you a lot this morning. Everything crossed for Monday now then.

Also - why is it a good sign if the nasal bone is clear on the scan??

Jelly the NHS website says "You will probably feel your baby move for the first time when you're around 17 or 18 weeks pregnant." So it would be early to be feeling movement now, I know it's hard not to worry though.

CatnipMouse · 12/08/2015 14:06

Could someone please take me off the spreadsheet please - I have tried several times from different computers and can't make it work. I had a miscarriage 4 weeks ago, it should have been 11 weeks that day. I was starting to think that perhaps this little one might work out after making it through IVF and then in and out of the freezer before it was transferred and implanted. Don't worry about flowers and nice messages, it's kind but without wishing to be rude, I won't be back to the thread to see them. Good luck all.

BananaRaces · 12/08/2015 14:08

I've taken you off Catnip. I'm so so sorry.

Rufus200 · 12/08/2015 14:09

over you are amazingly brave, I wouldn't have coped with a CVS, I've got everything crossed for you

banana nasal bone is often poorly developed in babies with Down syndrome at the nuchal scan, so it would be an indicator if you can't see the white line.

Still itching like mad! Apparently piriton is safe in pregnancy according to my Dr and is what she recommends for all allergies! I'm also getting a topical antibiotic as my acne is now scarring me! I have some craters left in my forehead! To be honest I feel and look so bad at the moment I don't really care but after the baby is born it will really bother me that my face is permanently scarred! I've even got spot on my belly now! I feel more tired now then I ever have before! Not really slept in 2 days. My thirst is terrible in the last few days, starting to worry it might be the start of GD but no glucose on urine dipsticks yet but it needs to be seriously high to show up in urine! I've got PCOS so high risk of GD.

clarabellski · 12/08/2015 14:53

Hi everyone,

Catnip's message got me thinking about other posters we know have suffered a loss. I've 'hidden' them for now but should we delete their details from the stats sheet? Do you think they'd want that?

Clara

raviolig · 12/08/2015 14:54

I have been fairly absent so sorry. We were abroad for 3 weeks and I have just been feeling so rough. My morning sickness, actually throwing up, kicked in full scale while we were away, and I got back to a letter saying I am anaemic.
Got my scan tomorrow and I am ridiculously nervous that there is going to be a problem.

So so sorry Catnip xx

Hope everyone else is doing well. I try and keep up when I can x

SmashleyHop · 12/08/2015 15:16

Sorry Catnip Flowers

Jelly- with my first I didn't feel anything until after 20 weeks. This is baby number 4 so I guess you just feel it sooner or you recognize it sooner... something like that. So don't worry. Frankly I'm shocked- I wasn't expecting anything for another few weeks. Baby has been kicking away like crazy though. Was not just a one off.

NoMontagues · 12/08/2015 15:44

overreaction I'm glad the procedure is over and done with for you. Fingers and everything else crossed for you.

clara I think hiding the details is fine. Although there's still some posters visible on the stats sheet that have suffered a loss, maybe before you joined the thread? I wouldn't like to take anyone off though, it could be a bit insensitive? Or maybe I'm too cautious.

Raaaaaah · 12/08/2015 16:32

Over, I'm pleased that it's over and done with. I hope that the results come swiftly. X.

After a few days of feeling slightly better I feel recked again today. Ploughing through the washing, ordering school uniform, food shopping blah di blah...

Jelly I didn't feel any movement until after 21 weeks with either DD or DS. I remember worrying when they asked the question at the scan. Both are fine and too blooming active now! I didn't show with either before then either. This time however It's ridiculous. I already feel slightly uncomfortable around the midriff and the insomnia is ridiculous.

Raaaaaah · 12/08/2015 16:33

Clara I'm afraid that I am the worst to ask about tactful ways to handle things.

Littleoakhorn · 12/08/2015 16:35

Well having said yesterday that I wasn't so worried this time around, I'm worrying like mad now and my scan isn't until Friday afternoon! Congratulations to those of you with nice scans and good luck to those scanning tomorrow.

Over I'm glad the procedure is finished with and I hope the time between now and Monday flies by.

Jelly I'm not feeling movement yet (12 weeks), just the occasional bubble of gas. I had an anterior placenta last time and started feeling definite kicks at 19 weeks.

Littleoakhorn · 12/08/2015 16:37

Catnip whether you read this or not, Thanks Thanks Thanks, nature can be very cruel sometimes.

clarabellski · 12/08/2015 16:45

Thanks guys. I think as Montague suggests we just leave it as it is until someone asks to be removed.

I've not felt anything from the baby yet but its presence is known in the form of MUFFIN TOP! Grrrrrr.....My mum says that your waist thickens with muscle to hold up your bump, so I was thinking of getting a sign to wear at the gym saying MUSCLE TOP! Either that or buy some looser gym gear Blush

Boobear1983 · 12/08/2015 17:24

I like to think my bump is an obvious pregnancy bump, as I had a completely flat stomach before. I asked my mum today is I definitely looked pregnant and she said 'no not yet, just a bit overweight'. Thanks mum Hmm

RattyCatty · 12/08/2015 17:49

Haha boobear me too - I just look constantly bloated/like I've put on a few pounds in the middle!

Back from midwife app. They just did blood pressure, blood results & used the Doppler to hear heart beat which was lovely.

I asked about high nuchal measure & she said try not worry as still within normal.

Happytimes2 · 12/08/2015 21:02

I want a big sign that says I'm not fat I'm pregnant! Particularly as I had lost 1 1/2 stone before getting pregnant so it just looks like I've put it back on. (So far about 7lb back on! )

madsaz76 · 12/08/2015 21:05

I went for a second scan today - midwife couldn't cope with my first being private so had to waste an NHS slot. Felt rather grumpy about that, but really nice to see again 2 weeks later - tons bigger already. They have now brought my date forward by 2 days - in my mind plan to ignore this but does mean they wont let me go as long if I am overdue.

I look horribly fat - I lost 3 stones prior to pregnancy and currently look like its going back on, except my face is still thin. I do finally feel better though so I went back to the gym and feel awesome. I think the second trimester is going to be tons better than the first :)

goneswimming · 12/08/2015 21:24

Scan day tomorrow for me. Currently tucked up in bed feeling sorry for myself with swollen neck glands and thoroughly under the weather. Normally I'd have some ibuprofen but I guess not this time!

MayFlowers16 · 12/08/2015 21:26

Happy I need that sign too! I'm actually looking forward to looking properly pregnant, so at least I can rub my bump with pride!

Rufus200 · 12/08/2015 21:31

My mum asked me today when I was going to start glowing as apparently I looked terrible and she thinks my spots are getting worse. No bump yet, I just look fat. I had a flat stomach and toned arms but haven't done any exercise so I've just turned into a blob. Doesn't help that I'm now eating at least 4 meals a day now. Either 2 lunches or 2 dinners, I'm just so hungry!
I'm really hoping for some proper sleep tonight but between the extreme thirst and my bladder I don't see that happening for the rest of the pregnancy now.

WombOfOnesOwn · 12/08/2015 22:38

Got to hear my little boy's heartbeat for the first time with the doppler today!!!! I was shocked...I figured since I am only barely 13 weeks and very very fat (BMI 40) that we wouldn't hear anything. But there he was...165 bpm...hard to put myself back together in time to go back to work after lunch!

Mawsymoo · 12/08/2015 22:39

Feeling quite tubby here too - I'm still "hiding" it in my normal work clothes but i think if I actually started wearing some maternity stuff I'd start looking more pregnant and less "who ate all the pies!". But I just don't want to draw that attention on myself yet so I'm sticking with the normal clothes for as long as I can!

My waist is definitely disappearing though - DS isn't walking yet and when I'm carrying him he's clinging into me for dear life as his comfortable little hip "shelf" has got narrower!

Thanks Over So glad all went as well as it could today for you, praying the results are quick and good news, thinking of you xx

HarimadSol · 13/08/2015 08:29

Scan day today! DH has taken the morning off so he can be there.

I've been wearing maternity jeans for the last several days. They're so comfortable! I just can't bear the pressure of regular ones on my stomach, especially when sitting down.
