Well, I don't know what I was worrying about, everything was perfect.
The sonographer really took the time to explain everything to us. The NT measurement was 1.8 which I'm happy with.
Baby wasn't playing nicely and was laying on it's belly the entire time but it was still great.

I've also now been moved forward a whole week and now have a date of valentines day - lovely.

overreactionemoticon · 11/08/2015 18:03

Great to see some more good scans :-)

I rang them at lunchtime, have an appointment for 940 tomorrow. Will update you all afterwards.

We're off on holiday at the weekend so I'veworn myself out a bit trying to get as much done as possible before tomorrow.

Bought some spatone today as well so hoping that helps with the energy levels, it's ridiculous how awful I still feel.

clumsypots · 11/08/2015 18:50

What lovely scan pictures!

Is anyone else suffering with really bad wind? It's so painful and I'm sure my bump is just gas!

NoMontagues · 11/08/2015 18:55

Yay calypso and jelly !! Great news Smile

overreaction glad to hear you got your appointment. At least it's fairly early in the day so not too much handing around in the morning. I take spatone and I find it great, it does make a difference to my energy levels and it doesn't make me constipated! Being pregnant is so glam isn't it?

goneswimming · 11/08/2015 19:09

I'm ridiculously nervy about everything violet! I thought I'd breeze through this and find it all natural and intuitive and actually I spend all my time worrying...

Clumsy I am ludicrously gassy. It's really bad. I don't think I've ever been this bloated!

Overreaction good luck for the morning. Fingers tightly crossed. Thanks

rdr15 · 11/08/2015 21:17

Have been quite quiet on here recently but had my scan today and everything looked well and healthy with baby Smile it was very active so didn't get great photos but it was lovely to see it waving at us. Due date now 21st Feb so 12+2.
Congratulations to everyone who has had scans so exciting!
overreaction good luck thinking of you.
bigfox I also have the energy levels of a snail. Trying not to eat too much sugar but it's hard to resist. Have also got into a habit of napping in the afternoons which isn't good as I'm going back to work Thursday as my nausea reduced a lot.

Raaaaaah · 11/08/2015 21:47

Aargh, just lost a post.

Hi all. I have been off the grid for a couple of weeks as we have been camping.

Pagerty, I am so sorry. I was gutted to read your news. Primary. I cannot imagine what you are going through. It's so sad.

I had my NHS 12 week scan yesterday along with combined risk results. It was fine for my age. I then had my private combined bloods and scans today (get it as a freebie along with Harmony). Wierdly the Trisomy 21 risk was much lower. Anyhow the Harmony test was 1:10000, so all appears good at this stage. The baby was flipping about today, very sweet. I was a bit distracted by DD (3yrs) who announced the whole affair "boring". DS was pretty impressed by the back flips though!

Nerd I am reading that book Expecting Better. I am really enjoying it. I love the way it encourages you to question and delve. Really easy to read too. Have you read it Rufus? I suspect that you might enjoy it, though it may be a bit simplistic for you. Fine for my brain capacity Smile?

Anyway, it's been great to catch up on the news.

ATrueNerd · 11/08/2015 21:53

Everything ok at my scan today! But.. I still can't stop worrying about what the blood tests are going to come back as, NT was 1.9, they said that was low risk, anything under 3.5 is ok apparently but obviously after hearing your story Overreaction I know it isn't as straight forward as that. I am going to be out of my mind waiting for the phone to ring now for three days... I'm 33 so very similar to your original risk Over. I will be thinking of you tomorrow xx

Sal1977 · 12/08/2015 10:37

Good luck for today Over, am thinking of you!

Our builders started yesterday on an extension and extensive wall knocking down project. We told the we'd be moving out today, last night they left us with no toilet or water.

I had to poo in a plastic bag this morning.

Not my finest hour.Shock

clarabellski · 12/08/2015 10:39

Wow, lots of lovely scan news today. Congratulations Calypso, jelly, rdr and atruenerd!

We now have 8 ladies due on valentines day, awww! Noone due on 29 February as yet but I'm guessing its likely someone on the thread will get a little one on that special date!

clarabellski · 12/08/2015 10:40

Cross post with Sal.

Poo in a bag?!?!? hehe Grin Good practice for labour!!!

SmashleyHop · 12/08/2015 10:51

Kicks! I felt kicks. Some very definite pokes down low. This being baby number 4 I figured I would feel movement early but I don't think I felt anything until at least 15 weeks with my last. I love this part of being pregnant.

RattyCatty · 12/08/2015 11:01

Hope this morning goes ok over

sal that has really made me chuckle!

I have a midwife app this afternoon at St George's, not sure what happens? I'm 15+4.

RattyCatty · 12/08/2015 11:02

smashley that's so lovely you felt kicks!

ATrueNerd · 12/08/2015 11:15

That's great Smashley! And Sal that's funny, we had our bathroom find when I was 8 months with dd1, that was interesting!

Trying to stay positive today but still convinced I'm going to get s phone call.
Rdr my due date is 21st too now! Also it was pretty obvious we are team blue! Sonographer agreed but obvs had to say that we need to wait til scan to be sure! I will add a photo as I am staying positive!

atruenerd try not to worry until you know (hard I know) my NT measure was 2.7mm so v high end of normal. With bloods risk came back 1 in 3048. Is be lying if I wasn't concerned about the high nuchal measure but trying to tell myself that if it was a problem they would have said something. Although I am going to ask the midwife later too.

ATrueNerd · 12/08/2015 12:17

Thanks Ratty, DH thinks I'm being ridiculous, they said they were happy with the baby and the nuchal was low risk so he just doesn't get why I'm still stressing, nor do I to be honest but hey! They told me only anything over 3.5 was classed as high risk so if you didn't have any other markers I'm sure 2.7 is totally fine

overreactionemoticon · 12/08/2015 13:44

Lol sal that made me laugh but please no more funny stories because it HURTS to laugh.

CVS went well, the professor doing it was great, and a real expert in the field (he's written some of the articles on the rcog website). He said he's a champion of the harmony test but in my case the CVS was the better option as it was the only way to be certain.

The procedure bloody hurt, even with a local anaesthetic. Stubbing toe like pain so I dread to think how much it would hurt without it. But it was over pretty soon and he got a good sample. Baby was jumping around lots during and after. My mum came with me and she was chuffed to see the baby on screen but not so thrilled about watching the procedure. Even one of the visiting doctors observing was wincing as he did it.

On the ultrasound everything looked good. Baby has grown since the last scan too which is positive.

Apparently it was a low papp-a score that made me high risk. Results should be in by Monday. Even if not downs I will be under consultant care with regular scans as low papp-a can mean failing placenta, iugr, prematurity, and pre-eclampsia. Fingers crossed for none of those.

overreactionemoticon · 12/08/2015 13:48

Nasal bone very clear on your scan ATrueNerd so that's a good sign for you Smile

jellypi3 · 12/08/2015 13:48

fingers crossed over :) good you saw the baby again

i've still not felt anything movement wise, 16 weeks tomorrow :(

RattyCatty · 12/08/2015 13:58

ovet I'm glad the procedure went ok & you had an experienced doc. Great news on growth too! Fingers crossed for good results for you.

jelly I read it can be up to 24 weeks until you feel anything I think it just depends
