That's lovely too. If you're going on holiday then I guess that one would be prefect- the first Seraphine one is too utilitarian for the beach!

I am jealous! No holiday for us this year due to DH being too busy at work Sad

RattyCatty · 09/08/2015 22:37

Night all - hope you sleep well.

Has anyone else felt (or thought they had?!) their baby's? I have felt a sort of bubbling today low down by my pubic bone when lying down sort of like flickering? It's almost certainly wind but I'm obviously over thinking it! Smile

haquoi123 · 09/08/2015 23:07

ratty I've definitely been feeling my baby move for a few days now! My midwife said to me that if you think it's baby then the likelihood is that it's baby :) it feels like wind but if I don't fart then I know it's the kid :D

Got a proper belly now! Been visiting London and went to Westfield to try and find some maternity leggings and trousers - but most of the shops had them all online and not in store! Useless!

It's so frustrating that there's nothing in shops for preggo people except for in mother care etc!

fififolle · 10/08/2015 08:02

Ratty I felt our baby move the day before the 12 week scan. When we saw how much it was bouncing about during the scan it confirmed that it wasn't wind! It felt like central deep big bubbles, just below my belly button. The baby isn't keep on me leaning forward at a table or on tight waist bands!
Great news peggy! If, when you're posting, you have three slim boxes which say 'choose file' you can use them to upload a scan pic.
Rufus how are you? It's so difficult knowing what you can and can't take. I had a scary reaction to peanuts at approx 6 weeks, we were in the middle of nowhere at a BBQ so I couldn't look up which antihistamines were safe to take. We were with some people from work who didn't know I was pg and I didn't want to risk my epi pen. Luckily someone had Loratidine, I took one and it worked very quickly. I looked it up when we got home and apparently it's fine. I did take one early on with DS and unless it causes an obsession with Lego and saying 'why' then he's absolutely fine Wink!
I had my 12 week scan last Wednesday, they did the nuchal fold measurement and a blood test. I received a letter on Saturday morning saying I was low risk for downs- I was really surprised to hear so quickly, I thought it would be discussed at my 16 week appointment.
Banana I suffered a lot with thrush whilst pg with DS, I was prescribed the cream and pessary a few times and they really helped. I think they just want to make sure that the pessary doesn't go too high.

rallytog1 · 10/08/2015 08:52

Ratty I've been feeling it since about 12 weeks too. Feels like being tickled from the inside! I didn't feel my dd till after 20 weeks as I had an anterior placenta, so am hopeful this means I have placenta at the front this time (which would be great as it would mean the placenta is nowhere near my cs scar). So exciting, isn't it? Smile

Good morning everyone, just read back over the weekend's posts.

overreactionemoticon Flowers Thinking of you.

rufus your cat sounds lovely! Can I borrow him? Grin

gone swimming I read a thread over on the pregnancy board about swimwear and someone recommended Next for cheap & cheerful suits (the speedo ones seem awfully expensive for a couple of months use). I'm luckily still fitting my normal suits as my boobs haven't gotten noticeably bigger but think I'll get a Next one when I need to.

Mawsymoo · 10/08/2015 09:49

I'm in the waiting room for my 16 week appointment Shock feeling a bit nervous, I hope all is going okay!

Absolutely shattered these days as I haven't been getting any sleep thanks to a teething baby, then I'm up every morning at 6am for work. Somehow I'm surviving but there'll probably be tears before the week is through!

Hope all are well x

RattyCatty · 10/08/2015 09:51

overreaction hope midwife meeting today is ok & they explain everything clearly to you.

BananaRaces · 10/08/2015 10:12

Fififolle I've stopped being able to lean forwards when sitting too, it makes me feel really queasy and uncomfortable. It makes eating at a table or typing at work really difficult!!

I've just told my line manager at work. He was very nice about it but I know it's going to cause absolute chaos for him when I go on maternity leave (there's so much change happening in my workplace already next year). I'm so glad to have it done, I was really dreading telling him!

Mawsymoo · 10/08/2015 10:32

Good luck today overreaction.

All done for me and all is looking good. Placenta is at the back so hopefully I'll start feeling definite movements soon - I think I've felt flutters but nothing convincing. I have 5 weeks to wait now for my big scan at 21 weeks. I'll be willing the time to pass!

clarabellski · 10/08/2015 10:39

Great stuff Mawsy

I love that we're all at different points in our pregnancies and (selfishly) that I'm not one of the first and get to hear what happens at the different stages! Blush

Well done banana, I'm currently working up the guts to tell my manager. I've not been in my job a year yet but was TTC for nearly 2 years, so there was never going to be a good time (but don't want to go all TMI with the boss!)

jellypi3 · 10/08/2015 10:39

good news mawsy :) my 16w check up is next friday when i'll be 17 weeks! i'm nervous but hoping i get to hear the HB. Also interesting about the placenta placement, i've not really felt any movement yet (lots of wind) but am slightly overweight so assume that affects it.

Boobear1983 · 10/08/2015 10:49

I have my 16 week appointment tomorrow. I've felt what I'm fairly sure is movement, lots of bubbly tickle feelings when I'm lying down.

Rufus200 · 10/08/2015 11:00

overreaction good luck today, hope you get some answers

fifi My foot is literally on fire! I've called my Dr and waiting for a call back about what I can take. Benadryl is doing nothing! Didn't help that everytime I move in bed it aggravated the sting, in the most stupid awkward place, right on the side of my foot below my ankle bone. I also may have had a really good scratch at 3am, which I know just activated the itch scratch cycle and caused a huge amount of histamine to be released.

Clara you would have to fight several of my neighbours for him as well as me, he is a tart and spends his days visiting everyone in the neighbourhood. He comes home to eat and sleep! Although some horrible person (next door neighbour but I have no proof other then I saw him try to kick another neighbours cat) kicked him in the head last year and DH had to perform emergency surgery as he had kicked his tooth out at a 90degree angle and it was sticking through his lip! I very helpfully stood sobbing through the surgery!

overreactionemoticon · 10/08/2015 12:07

Great news womb Smile

Midwife gave me my results but not the mom values so they mean nothing. She basically said the bloods on their own mean nothing but it's the picture as a whole that gives a risk so not to even consider the blood levels Hmm

So nucal was 1.9 mm
B-hcg 80.660
Papp-a 1.340

I'm 34.

All she kept saying was that it's the 1 in 44 thats the important number and that the only way to know is to have a diagnostic test. She's right but i would have liked to know if my levels were high/ low. I'm guessing the bhcg is high just by how sick I've been.

She has referred me for the CVS, and they should ring me today or tomorrow with my appointment. More waiting...

I've tried to find Ds' results over the weekend as I'm sure that although he was low risk he was only just low risk but no idea where I've put them. They may have gone in his maternity notes that went back to the mw.

Rufus hope you're OK.

teaandcake2016 · 10/08/2015 12:13

Rufus that's awful about what happened to your cat - I detest anyone that does stuff like that! Is your dh a vet then to do surgery? I am imagining the surgery as literally surgery, operating table and everything!!

Stepawayfromthezebras · 10/08/2015 13:08

Good news Mawsy and I hope that the CVS gives you more positive odds overreaction

I'm jealous of all the people feeling flutters - 14 + 4 here and nada - so impatient for that to happen!

I had a lovely milestone today when I phoned the hospital to cancel my IVF appointment that's booked for a fortnight's time (they told me to leave it this late to cancel just in case) Smile

Rufus200 · 10/08/2015 13:39

overreaction my nuchal was 2.0 and I had a higher HCG then you it was 130,000, can't remember my Papp-a and I'm 34, so interesting that my risk was calculated at 1 in 640, I'm personally beginning to think that the calculation is a load of bollocks!!!!

tea we are both vets but I no longer work as one as I found it too stressful and upsetting.
