Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

indigo maybe it was pies all along!!!! Shock
I can feel baby wriggling really low down.

ZylaB · 03/07/2015 20:45

With regards to cats, we've got 3 and I was worried they'd be stressed when baby came. We made all the furniture etc as early as possible so they had plenty of time to sniff and walk around it. We also thought they then wouldn't relate a change in furniture with the arrival of the baby. We put tinfoil on the bedside cot to discourage them from sleeping in it and it seems to have worked, they certainly don't try to get in with the baby. They've been pretty good since she came home with us, in fact me being away for about a month in hospital was worse fo them, the youngest got stressed when I wasn't here and got in some fights, but settled as soon as I came home.

Sorry, long winded way to say..try and get the house changed around ready for baby nice and early so the cats are used to it and have less change when baby comes home. We also have space they can go to in the house to hide out if they feel the need to be alone. One of the cats lets the baby stroke him now (by this I mean grab his fur cos it's soft!) and the others sit and look at her instead of running away. One comes to me for cuddles while I'm feeding her as well Grin

Indigoblue2 · 03/07/2015 21:21

Sounds like baby is settling down in good time ga, maybe she's intending to fight her way out like the angry ginger did?

honey everyone is right, the worry never stops! I think the early scan is a good idea, you'll feel so much better when you see the heartbeat Smile I had one at 6 weeks and then another follow up one at 8 due to really bad night cramps and dizziness early on. As a result I have lots of extra pics which is nice.

You guys all dote on your cats so much! We have a farm cat who basically pleases himself, stays outside and in theory hunts all the mice and rats, but in reality probably just catches the odd bird and shits in my flowerbeds.

I'm going to ask to change my midwife - is this bad? I know it's a bit late at 34 weeks but I just can't stand the woman. She is utterly unbearable, talks to you as though you're a 3yo and doesn't give you any actual answers to anything you ask Confused

LaLaLaaaa · 03/07/2015 21:26

Indigo I've been told if you're not happy with mw you're perfectly within your rights to change. Never too late.

Honey truth is there's always something to worry about but if you go through it thinking like that you'll drive yourself mad. Try to stick to worrying about the things you can change rather than the ones you have no control over

Thanks la. I'm torn between not wanting to offend her and being furious with her service! She calls the amniotic fluid the "swimming pool" and perineal stitches the "embroidery". You have to say this in a utterly patronising voice to get the full effect..

LaLaLaaaa · 03/07/2015 21:52

Bloody hell yes get rid! Bit cringy! For she call a penis a pee pee and your bits a lady garden too?

honeysucklejasmine · 03/07/2015 21:58

Yes Ma'am La!

Nah, you're totally right. I feel a bit better knowing it's booked, so hopefully that'll put a atop to it.

DH drank a large glass of my face wine after dinner. Angry

LaLaLaaaa · 03/07/2015 22:33

I felt better after early scan then a bit better after 12 weeks. I relaxed most after 20 week scan. Anxiety starts again though when you get movements!

OP posts:
oneyorkshirepud · 03/07/2015 22:52

Fleur your DH needs to eat some pies and cheer up have a word with himself about food, if he wanted something specific for tea he should have stopped at the shop and made it himself! Naughty DH!

Honey, I know it is really hard Flowers for you. And for Jelly with your upcoming scan, you are both doing so well. I lost the plot the night before my scan When I am having a stressful day at work I just try to remember that I need to stay calm for the baby and that helps me to relax a bit. Might be worth a try.

LaLaLaaaa · 03/07/2015 22:57

Honey you know we are here if you need us, it's such a worrying time in first tri and we all felt the same. I wish I'd taken my own advice but truth is I was an anxious wreck til 12 weeks xx

Huuuuge thunder storm here. Brightest lightening I have seen for a while.

DulcetMoans · 04/07/2015 05:58

It's cleared the air a little bit at least honey. Feels a bit more bearable here now! Glad you got your scan booked - hopefully it will reassure you.

What an odd-bod indigo! You want someone you are comfortable with so don't feel bad swapping. Not sure how you do it but know you can. Would you still see her if you swapped? Just about when you go for appointments? That would be awkward!

What did DH end up with fleur? Not sure what he wants you to do in that situation - you only have what you have and if that's no good he will need to go and get something! I wander around the kitchen not sure what to eat but I'm very pregnant and I don't blame anyone else for my indecisiveness!

batfish · 04/07/2015 07:36

Sorry if this is a stupid question but do babies need toys?! Hadn't even thought about them but is there anything they need straight away or just after a few weeks?

honeysucklejasmine · 04/07/2015 07:47

Bat avvording to my friends... At first, just a few black and white patterned objects to look at. They can't see colour or anything, just high contrast.

At about 4 weeks, other things to look at and watch.

honeysucklejasmine · 04/07/2015 08:05

*according

So, owww, my boobs! I need to go and get a bra I can wear at night. Recommendations?

batfish · 04/07/2015 08:11

Thanks honey!

I just wore a sports bra at night when mine were really bad - beware though of taking it off in the morning, never felt pain like it when they are released!!

LaLaLaaaa · 04/07/2015 08:17

Morning!

Bat I wondered the same thing about 2 months ago as I hadn't even considered any! I kind of saw toys as an extra 'nice to have'. My friends asked what they can buy me for baby and I suggested toys because we don't have any. I've made an Amazon list of cheap things for this party on Monday and all the stuff is toys. The Lamaze ones are supposed to be good.

It's much cooler after the storm which is nice but I'm not feeling very well which I think is just weeks and weeks of not being able to sleep properly taking its toll.

No plans today. Feel a bit in limbo. Don't want to go far from home but equally there's no one around to hang out with and dh is at work from 3 so it gets a bit dull. I might see if someone fancies the cinema tonight.

Meanwhile....sleeeeeeeep

Neve worn bra at night but perhaps see if getting measured helps? Mine changed size quite early on and I was really uncomfortable

oneyorkshirepud · 04/07/2015 08:32

Top fashion tip for you here ladies: So, you want to wear a lovely summery skirt but can't fasten it around your waist due to the bump... no problem! Simply hitch it up under your boobs and do it up there! Not only does your skirt now look ridiculous and only just cover your bum, but as an added bonus everyone can now see your horrendous pregnancy eczema, winner! This is actually what I am doing today, I've still got it.

batfish · 04/07/2015 08:35

The lamaze ones are what made me think la because they are 25% off on Amazon

honeysucklejasmine · 04/07/2015 08:35

I don't normally wear one at night, but when I fake off my bra in the evening it's quite painful and turning over in bed sans bra is a bit much. I guess I just need a non wired one in my normal size?

LaLaLaaaa · 04/07/2015 08:39

Ha ha pud!! Pregnancy glamour :). Try new look or asos for cheap maternity clothes they have some nice stuff

Honey I'm not sure - hopefully one of the others can help. I've been in non under wired nursing bras from 9 weeks but don't wear them at night.

Discovered yesterday my boob skin has gone all crepe-y at the top due to the weight of them. Ewww!

Teehee pud

Actually now worrying that I don't have sore tits. Always something to worry about...

la wish we lived closer, I'm alone again today too. If you go to cinema, I recommend spooks we saw it last night. Baba loved it, she was wiggling away!

DulcetMoans · 04/07/2015 08:52

DH is going suit shopping today for a wedding as a usher and I am thinking I will sneak off to the cinema at lunchtime. You could totally come la, except I am a bit far away from your house. Hope you can get someone else involved.

I can't wear a bra to bed, despite the size and weight of them. Especially not now - sweaty Betty boobs! Your boobs will probably feel sore again by lunchtime, but yes there is always something to worry about.

I wondered that about toys too bat. Haven't got any still and will hold out. I know captain calamari is popular which I think is a Lamaze one.

Fleurchamp · 04/07/2015 08:53

I have been wearing crop tops at night (belvia maybe?) it helped with the pain and I am hoping it will help with post baby boob sagging Grin

Sometimes I wear them during the day too as they are darn comfy and I need to go up a size I think in my non underwired bras. Being measured for nursing bras next week.

I was a nervous wreck during the storm and the bump wasn't happy about it - loads of movement Smile
