Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 30th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 48th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: Stats

DulcetMoans · 17/06/2015 22:25

It's starting cym, good luck! We are all cheering for you.

Question is what was the best poo pud?

Impressive weight loss before. Something to look forward to!

Glad the scan was positive pretzel. We are here when you need us.

Sorry for the poorly people. Hopefully the end of another day means closer to feel better!

Toast85 · 17/06/2015 23:25

I've been skimming over the last few days so not properly up to speed on the Fred at present but just wanted to say to pixie that your little one is a beaut, well done! Phone won't let me comment on your lovely fb pic for some reason.

Cym hooray for 2cm! I don't have any pom poms so i'll jiggle my bump in your general direction instead. Puuuuush!

chat I've been thinking of you and the rest of the chat family over the last few days. Hope you're doing ok.

PixieChops · 18/06/2015 00:28

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes Smile River is just beautiful and I can't stop looking at him! All he does is eat and sleep, really wish DD would've been like that too! Anyway I'm in a bit of pain but nothing really to write home about, managing it with paracetamol and ibuprofen at the moment so fx it doesn't get any worse! Had a shower and a wander round, even managed to get in the day room and make myself a brew. It's funny because the more I move the better it is and doesn't hurt as much! I'm on some sort of programme where they leave you alone as much as possible to deal with your own meds, get yourself in and out of bed, feeding baby etc as they want you to be mobile after a c section. It's been proven that becoming mobile actually helps speed up the healing process. So I've been doing all those things in the hope that I can go home tomorrow Smile x

gaggiagirl · 18/06/2015 05:46

Urgh. Been awake since half four. This never happens to me. Urgh.

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 18/06/2015 06:17

Mega congratulations pixie and I hope the c-section recovery continues to go well.

Two stone in ten days from max pregnancy weight just before birth. But almost 10lb of that was baby, then there's the waters, placenta, blood loss, water retention going down and all of that jazz. I haven't actually done anything with the intention of losing weight, it's a by-product of having given birth to an enormous baby.

I am breastfeeding, it's not the most comfortable still but I'm certain it's helping everything to contract back to a more normal size. I had a proper overhanging belly at first, the midwife promised me it would go back (I am short, abdominal muscles had to lengthen to make room width-ways because there was so little room up and down) and it has started to.

LaLaLaaaa · 18/06/2015 06:21

Awake! Restless legs and achy hips. 2 days of work to go!!!

Gaggia welcome to the red eye club - I'm a regular.

Dh put snuzpod up and it's next to my side of bed 'so you get used to it'. All very well but I now can't actually get out of bed to pee at night. Bedpan anyone?

Hobbit19 · 18/06/2015 06:54

Urgh Ga, also awake since 5 am, hope this doesn't become a regular thing, I will be knackered at work today.

Ooh La, two days to go, so exciting!!!

Well done on getting up and about Pixie, enjoy the newborn cuddles.

DulcetMoans · 18/06/2015 07:28

It was a 0508 start here. I've noticed there's a few key times I wake up as well - 0508, 0523, 0612. Seems to be the same numbers!

37 weeks today - I made it! At least now I can go to the birth centre! If I can get through these last two days at work though I would be grateful.

Fleurchamp · 18/06/2015 07:46

Last 2 days here too and a really bad night's sleep as well. So tired. There must have been something in the air!

Hope you are well cym

DH and I started putting our bags together for the hospital last night. There are 4 small bags. DH will not be convinced that this is not a good idea even though I have explained I will not be carrying any of them.

He also keeps going on about he things that are yet to go into the bag- I am still wearing my mat clothes and pjs and I don't get measured for bras until next week. He is panicking bless him!

Purpleball · 18/06/2015 07:52

I wake up every morning between 4 and 4:30 and usually go back to sleep. I have been waking up just before the alarm and lying there til it goes off.
If I lie on my left first thing, baby wakes up and I need to know he's ok before I can start my day.

Home tonight Smile and managed so far not to go into labour (irrational fear)

jellypi3 · 18/06/2015 07:57

Hope you have a baby now cym why did my phone change that to cum good luck

fleur I think men feel so powerless during pregnancy they need to help where they can. Except my DP. He's a lazy sod.

purple why are you worried about labour? Are you at risk of going super early?

My cats decided 3am was a good time to have a play fight on a carrier bag that was in the bedroom last night. Cue me naked and screaming at the cats because I was tired and hot. So thanks to the flea bags I can join your mid night group!!

Cymraes17 · 18/06/2015 07:57

40+5, this is the longest pg Ive ever had.
Had a few mild twinges last night, and then nothing.Hmm
Woke up before 6 this morning, v unusual for me, and was showered before 6.30.
I may be having some tightnings as I write, but am unsure as to send DH to work or not. Last time I just knew in the morning.
La, Dulcet and Fleur, not long to work now! Try not to stress too much, and dont start anything new!
Pixie, your little boy is lovely, Im glad it all went ok.
Before, even though you had a big baby, that weight loss is amazing. Im too scared to look at the scales at the mo!

honeysucklejasmine · 18/06/2015 08:11

Morning!

Last night I made DH watch a video on the baby centre app with me. He moaned, but watched it. It was about embryo development in first nine weeks. So afterwards he looks at me and says "so, how many weeks are you?". I think he has a lot to learn. When did OHs start really engaging with everything?

I am still thinking about early scan, but mostly as I am still symptom-less. I am not panicking about it, but I would still like to see what's going on.

batfish · 18/06/2015 08:21

Congrats pixie!

Hope something happens for you soon cym

Went for dinner with some friends last night and one girl was really pissing me off. She brought up what you can and can't eat during pregnancy (I had not turned anything down and had even said that I would probably have had a little glass of wine if had not been driving - zero tolerance for drink driving in this country) - so when she asked me what I have been avoiding and I said certain cheeses, undercooked meat etc and then she said oh it's all rubbish, my sister is a dietician and says everything in moderation. So I said well yes of course - if you were eating raw meat every day then the likelihood of you getting toxoplasmosis is higher than if you just have it once. But then she said oh well if you just have a bit then it obviously isn't going to harm your baby, everyone goes so over the top. So I said well actually if you have raw meat just once and it is infected with toxoplasmosis then the effect on your baby can be catastrophic - so it isn't necessarily ok to say yes it's ok to eat it every now and again. But she didn't seem to get it and just kept going on about how pregnant women are so precious and over the top with food and when she is pregnant she will carry on as normal and as long as she isn't eating runny cheese and undercooked steak every single day then it will be fine. And yes maybe it would be fine but she didn't seem to get that if something is infected then it only takes eating it once! I feel I am pretty relaxed - have had the odd glass of wine and when I ordered a steak well done and it came medium I ate it and didn't beat myself up about it - but just got annoyed that she seemed to be implying that it is ridiculous to change your eating habits! Grrrr rant over!

LaLaLaaaa · 18/06/2015 08:33

Cym you must be a bit sick of being pg but hopefully in a few days you'll be back home with your new wee one! Keep bouncing x

Bat baby advice bores are annoying, especially if they're talking pish and have no idea what they're talking about! Just smile and nod.

Honey try not to worry in a few weeks you'll likely be lying on a bed feeling like death with ms! So many of us have worried about lack of symptoms, only to then be moaning about nausea a week later.

Before that is brilliant though, you're my inspiration! How are the hips feeling? Please tell me they get better after birth? Mine hurt :(

Pixie your wee boy is gorgeous and I love the name! Hope you're getting to rest

Dhs birthday today so we are going for fancy dinner tonight. Very excited. They'll hate me though - pregnant pescetarian!

Midwife this afternoon!

honeysucklejasmine · 18/06/2015 08:56

Ok, so I am going to be optimistic (!) and ask about MS. What helps with it? I will stock up in preparation! I think I remember my friend grating ginger in to hot water repeatedly. I think she said she had a pack of crackers by the bed for immediate munching on waking.

So, what are you tips?

Cym gx DC comes today!

Bat tell them to shoot up some heroin. After all everything in moderation, what's the harm? Angry

jellypi3 · 18/06/2015 09:08

honey I've had it really easy so far, I've only thrown up once and that was on a train. I find for me I need to co stanly graze. If I eat I'm fine but if I go more than 2-3 hours without eating I get nauseous. I have a bottle of water I carry around with me for the train, and a pack of biscuits. I always have those small satsuma's and eat 1 an hour or so to keep it at bay.
For instance yesterday on the train home I was suddenly hit with a feeling of sickness and felt hungover. 1 chocolate bourbon later I was absolutely fine. It's so random.

But as I say I've been lucky it's not been worse. JC for instance had it really bad, as have some on the feb group. They say ginger biccy's ans peppermint tea helps for severe cases but I've not been that bad.

My tits on the other hand....Hmm

jellypi3 · 18/06/2015 09:09

That's constantly not co stanley. No idea who Stanley is.

Jcandy · 18/06/2015 09:27

Yeah making sure you have a constant supply of snacks is a good idea. For me eating little and often and lying down A LOT was the only things that made it better. Couldn't do ginger biscuits or peppermint tea. I was all about the savory stuff. You just have to try and find what works for you Smile

Come on baby cym! It's time!

Bat I've had someone like that too. It's always the people that aren't pregnant isn't it? I know mines been trying for ages with no luck though so maybe she was just trying to play it down

goodnessgraciousgouda · 18/06/2015 10:18

Bat - has this woman ever been pregnant before? I honestly do think that before you get pregnant it's easy to think "Oh people are just so preeeecious", but then when YOU get pregnant, all of a sudden you get infected with the SAME paranoia as pretty much every other pregnant woman.

I bet if she ever gets pregnant she will turn into the worst type of food nazi known to man, lol.

honey - To be honest, nothing really helped with my morning sickness (although in the grand scheme of things it wasn't particularly bad). I was always sick in the mornings. It really was just an inevitability, and most of the time I'd know if I was going to be ill from the moment I woke up. Eating only made it worse as then I had something concrete to throw back up. It really is different for everyone.

For the sort of left over nausea throughout the day, I found hard boiled sweets really helped. I still have whole handfuls of them in my bag. And never go anywhere without a bottle of water. Also, be prepared for the MS to go away completely and then come back again. Mine eased up and then stopped for about a week or so, and then came back for a few days even worse than before!

As for the menz, I think the first proper ultrasound at 12 weeks is meant to be a bit of an eureka moment. Mine was very happy, but would take the piss out of my symptoms a bit until I totally lost my shit at him and he decided to do some reading on it. He's always been supportive though, was brilliant when I thought I was miscarrying, and I think since the scare, and seeing the first (very grainy) scan it has become much more real to him.

batfish · 18/06/2015 10:37

No she hasn't been pregnant but all of her friends have and her sister is a dietician so she knows everything about it. I wouldn't mind but I wasn't even being slightly crazy about anything, I said I've had the occasional drink and didn't beat myself up when I couldn't resist a bit of blue cheese dip or medium steak - I was just trying to give her the actual facts and explain why pregnant women avoid some things - yes the likelihood of contracting toxoplasmosis or listeria are teeny but if you do then the potential effects are devastating. In comparison to salmonella where if you get it then you'll be very sick but baby will be OK. I just hate someone arguing against actual facts!

LaLaLaaaa · 18/06/2015 10:46

Ginger biscuits and constant supplies of salt and vinegar crisps! Only time I felt ok was when I was eating.

Negative for group B strep - yes!!!!!

Jcandy · 18/06/2015 10:58

Excellent news la bet you're so glad you did the test now Smile

Pisghetti · 18/06/2015 11:16

Yay La!

Bat she's a tit. Besides anything else it is up to you to decide you do. I happily ate dippy eggs because they were lion marked however my friend chose not to because she felt better following the standard advice - neither of us criticized the other because we're not complete arseholes Hmm
