Flowers Rufus -

RattyCatty · 11/06/2015 08:04

How are you rufus?

GoulashSoup · 11/06/2015 08:13

Hope you've had some sleep rufus. I'm sorry you're having such a shitty time Flowers. I hope today is better day.

Got my bounty pack with my forms to fill in from the doctors yesterday. It feels more real putting everything down in black and white.

Carltonlives · 11/06/2015 08:13

Morning everyone!

jellypi3 · 11/06/2015 08:15

Thinking of Rufus, Hottie, Brummie and Charlotte today.

Best wishes to you, Elephant.

haquoi123 · 11/06/2015 08:40

How you're alright rufus x

Is anyone else having 5am natural wakings every morning, regardless of time going to sleep ?

haquoi123 · 11/06/2015 08:42

elephant do you have a scan today? Best of luck!

Rufus200 · 11/06/2015 08:55

Thank you for all your kind words, bleeding has stopped. DH says that it is just the baby burrowing in for the long haul and it is doing some renovation work as it thinks the space is too small for it to live in for the next 7+ months Smile

Glad to hear bleeding has stopped rufus Smile make sure you don't push yourself and rest as much as you can. I bet your dh is right Smile

5 weeks today! Can't believe I found out almost a week ago! I felt much better this morning, I ate half a biscuit literally as soon as I woke up and that seemed to stop the sick feeling before it really started. I felt really down yesterday because I felt so sick in the morning and it feels like such a long road to the first scan, I definitely don't have any rose tinted specs on about pregnancy this time so it feels a lot more daunting! But feeling much better and more positive today! And my app picture changed from a bunch of cells to a little dinosaur looking baby so that make me smile too Smile

Hope everyone else is well and feeling as sick as you want to Grin

BananaRaces · 11/06/2015 09:26

Can I (tentatively) join you ladies? I got my BFP this morning!! Grin Still very early days but FX for a sticky bean!

My due date is the 17/02/16 according to the NHS website... But I have no idea how to work out how many weeks pregnant I am! Do I count from my OV date, or from my last AF? Help!!

haquoi123 · 11/06/2015 09:27

rufus that's great! Also your DH is hilarious :)

bigfox are you able to get back to sleep at all? I've tended to doze a little bit but need to sleep during the day (of course there's no issue sleeping when daylight is about!)

Raffertys · 11/06/2015 09:30

Welcome banana

Rufus Fingers crossed the bleeding stays away; I like what your DH said Grin

hottie how are you getting on? Hope the hospital are looking after you well.

I'm waking at around 04:30 each morning. But my alarm goes off at 05:20 for my two hour commute each day Envy so it's not that different to the time I normally get up. Shit happens. At least it's warm and light outside at that time.

haquoi123 · 11/06/2015 09:32

Congrats banana and welcome! Try a different website, it should tell you underneath the date how far along you are. I've got the opposite problem - ovulated really late so my original Jan due date is wrong! An early scan yesterday told me I was about 5 1/2 weeks instead of 7, so an guessing we've got a Feb baby :s

Carlton how long have you been feeling sick for?

rallytog1 · 11/06/2015 09:34

I've also been waking up at 5am like clockwork since I got my bfp. It is seriously irritating. Couple that with the all-day nausea and I'm just a delight to know at the moment.

banana, count from the first day of your last period to work out how many weeks you are. Welcome and congratulations btw Smile

Carltonlives · 11/06/2015 09:39

Banana!!!! Yay congratulations!! How are you feeling? You count from the first day of your last period to work out how many weeks you are. If you are due on the 17th you are 6 days behind me so that makes you 4weeks 1 day today Grin

haquoi I've only felt sick for the last 2 mornings, and the day before yesterday I had a bad upset stomach in the afternoon, I know lots of people are worse than me right now, I just felt down because I really thought I had another couple weeks before the nausea hit haha (wishful thinking clearly!)

AbFab86 · 11/06/2015 09:42

Oh Rufus this isn't fair for you! And it's ruining your holiday! I have read LOTS of accounts of people who have bled quite frequently during their pregnancy and everything has been fine. I really hope that's the case. Looking forward to you getting some more information.

haquoi123 · 11/06/2015 09:48

Carlton, that doesn't sound like fun at all! It does seem quite early to get it! I had really bad ms with my ds from about 6 weeks - not much vomiting but constant nausea unless I was lying down. Just waiting and dreading it getting me this time... :s

Carltonlives · 11/06/2015 09:53

haquoi I'm sure I didn't get nausea until 6/7 weeks at least with dd. weird huh. Hope you don't get it bad this time. Anyway I think I've cracked it with my early morning biscuit plan and feeling great and positive today GrinGrin so so so excited for another baby!!

monkerina · 11/06/2015 09:59

Rufus, I love your DH's explanation Grin

Banana, weeks pregnant at this stage assumes a 28 day cycle; you count from the first day of your period, so by the time you ovulate you're already 2 weeks pregnant and sperm and egg haven't yet met! For you and me this means dodgy calculations; hospital is counting me as about 5 1/2 weeks already, but because I ov'd much later than that I know I'm max 3+6 right now, due date of the 19th Feb. It'll all be sorted out at the dating scan...

jellypi3 · 11/06/2015 10:00

welcome and congrats bananna, if you count back from your LMP that will give you the number of weeks you are according to the NHS. For instance my LMP was 25th April, so I am 6 weeks 6 days today.

OP posts:
Raffertys · 11/06/2015 10:13

jelly We are LMP buddies Grin I'm 6+5 today though Hmm Do you have longer / shorter cycles?

BananaRaces · 11/06/2015 10:33

Hi Carlton (waves). Thanks! I've been waking all through the night for the last 2 nights, I'm hot, thirsty, nauseated, dizzy and I have very tweaky nipples! Blush.

Thanks Ladies! If I count from my LMP then I am 4 weeks and 2 days. So, here's my stats for the page:

BananaRaces, Age: 31, Due date: 17/02/16, 4 weeks and 2 days PG, DC #1, Location: Wales

It really doesn't feel real yet... Grin
