May 2015 - Thread 9 - Babies coming thick and fast

Hey ladies. Thought we needed a new thread starting , hope this works.

Congratulations! Hope you are recovering ok.

The beautiful Angus was born at 1:15 pm yesterday after an ELCS. Been suffering quite a bit with the pain and have had about ten minutes sleep but I'm so completely in love. The specialist still thinks he may have achondroplasia so he is having x rays and blood tests today.

bazza massive congrats on the birth of Angus, hope all his tests and X-rays today give you good news...

I'm also on zombie mode after our little man arriving 4.02am on 21.5 and have managed 2 hrs 40 since then! Cannot wait to get home.

I feel for u with tiredness but also agree the feeling makes up for it :)

Babies are indeed coming thick and fast! I cant keep up!

It is comforting to know that chook and Leanne that as Due date buddies we are all still here at the back of the bus.....

I have the same sweep and induction schedule as you chook Not sure if it's comforting or not to have an induction date set so early....

Making sure I am doing something nice every day to make the most of being child free... Going to a geeky lunchtime seminar near Liverpool St today... also cake and good coffee :D

twinkle Yes I am really hoping i don't have to be induced on the 5/6 as my dd is the 6/6 and I really want to be here for her bday, she will be devastated if I'm not! Let's hope this naughty little babies all make an appearance very soon!!

Haha twinkle I'm hoping the 24th is our lucky day and we all give birth simultaneously on Sunday haha!

I am so pissed off and upset! I was so chuffed to get uni done and felt really proud and I just found out that my year are having their group photo this afternoon, I got a text at 11.45 asking if I was coming to the group photo at 12!? Well I wasn't even showered or dressed and was just about to eat dinner, so obviously not. I'm upset no one told me and now I feel that all my hard work will not be recognised as I won't be in the photo. Really annoyed :(

lol leanne, I said the same remember. My due date is on Wednesday, all signs have disappeared... so, am still here.

Ha apple my SIL was saying she was 100% going to be at least a week overdue and ended up giving birth at 38+6. Granted it was a c-section but we were both convinced we knew what our bodies would do ha!!

I am still here. 39 weeks today so I think I could be last. Anyone else with a very late may due date left? Still haven't shaken off this cold though and dh is getting over a nasty virus too so maybe for the best if she hangs on.

Meant to be going to a wedding this evening if we're well enough and have no signs of baby.

Slightly worried about how I am going to look after dd for a whole long weekend with dh ill but at least mt sister is staying tonight and can give us a hand tomorrow hopefully.

Still here too! Due date is today but reckon I'll still be a while yet.
Had a sweep yesterday and booked in for induction on 4/6. Really hoping it doesn't come to that!

Can't believe how quiet this thread has become. Sending "hurry up baby" thoughts to everyone still hanging on :)

Thanks mini! Unfortunately between dd and diabetes each of those is off the agenda. Oh well. My dm just bought me a changing table and baskets to sort the baby's stuff. Looks exciting in my room now!

Oooh I hope I get an induction earlier thay the 6th, assuming the 6th as that's ten days after due date

apple mine is earlier because gestational diabetes means they don't want me to go very overdue in case the baby grows very big or the placenta ages too quickly. Getting them to agree to let me go past my due date felt like a victory at the time !

Sorry longest I forgot :) good that they will let you go over. I'll have to be patient then :)

My dog has been napping non-stop today. Wondering if he knows he'll not be sleeping for a while :P
And I've been trying to nap thanks to 8am swim lessons for older two DCs today. Managed about ten mins so far.
My DM has also gone home again until Tuesday so torn between hoping for labour to kick off and wanting to wait until she's back.
Busy week next week too. DD has a charity walk wed, DS has football wed, then my DD has her visits to secondary school on thurs and fri! Scary, but exciting times. Would be handy if this new person would arrive during this long weekend to help ease everyone in.
